“Great welcoming management with sense of humor. They listen to your wishes and preferences as well as they discreetly check upon you during the stay. Helpful and attentive service! As always, very cozy athmosphere and very nicely made food - great lamb dishes. Wish the flavor of a hummus starter had more significant taste, it didn't have actually any seasoning, wish the tzatziki side was a little bigger. Would be lovely to have ouzo served on the alco menu as well! Great choice of a sweet mastiha shot as a wrap up of the visit! Will get me one for home! And will comeback!“

“Perfect little neighborhood gyro shop. We are frequent customers. Very residential area, quiet and relaxed. The food is great, it always tastes very fresh. Large portions. Our usual waitress Violetta is attentive, friendly, and wonderful. We live a block away and they are good neighbors and a wonderful addition to the community. Only drawback when visiting is that parking can be a challenge.“

“Finally! A delicious traditional lamb gyro! These are surprisingly hard to find in Manhattan. I’ve been craving a traditional gyro for a while but didn’t want to drive 1-2 hours roundtrip from Manhattan to Astoria/Queens. This place hit the spot and I would return!“

“Yo!!!! This place is so good. The host or maître D or whatever you wanna call him was like the most gracious person ever! Treated me and this hot girl that I’m currently seeing like we were family. Offered us some free Uzo drinks, which I’ve never had but now I’m throwing back like a bottle a week! Anyway, the food was off the hook. Please, please please don’t even get me started on the riblets!! I probably crushed like four orders spent my whole paycheck. Worth it!“

“I had a great experience at Sea Salt. Our server, Ozzy, was friendly, attentive, and made excellent menu suggestions. The Lamb was cooked perfectly, and the appetizers were rich and flavorful. We ended with a delicious desert platter that Ozzy recommended.
Overall, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was warm, and the service from Ozzy made the anfternoon even better. I’ll definitely be back.“

“The moussaka is the best I have ever had by a landslide and one of my favorite dishes ever. I have ordered it probably 100 times and it never disappoints. The gigantes are scrumptious. Better of either those dishes would not be found in Greece. The atmosphere is simple because this isn't a fancy restaurant, but it is pleasant.“

“Their lamb/beef gyro was really good. The bowl was stuffed! The wait was a bit long though, almost 25+ minutes just to get to order, and sometimes other people (I assume related) just cut in to throw in 5 or 10 other orders. The food came out very fast at least and I enjoyed my bowl. I see they have an online ordering site, so I may try that next time to reduce the wait. Would love to try the other items.“
“What a hidden gem!! The decor, atmosphere, service and the food here is 10/10!! Our server Omo was great. My party decided to get several sides and dishes to share. Every single thing was delicious !!! The enclosed garden area where we sat as stunning as well as the interior space.
I highly recommended the following dishes:
Tzatziki and spicy feta dips, Garides Saganaki, Sofrito, Papoutsakia and the Dakos salad

“Family Corner is an amazing cozy family restaurant that my friends & fam have been going to for decades! It’s like “Cheers” where everyone knows each other’s name! The food is made fresh homemade with ♥️Love everyday! Their food is so tasty and the portions are generous. The staff & owner makes you feel part of their family. It’s intimate diner throw back to another time atmosphere is refreshing! The traditional Greek food is out of this world and very reasonably priced. And it has a thriving takeout/ delivery business. Neighborhood eateries like The Family Corner - is what makes our Astoria community great!!!“

“Everything was delicious and fresh. We have been to Tino's a couple of times before, and every meal has been fantastic. I had the seafood risotto, and it was flavorful. My husband had the chicken, and he was impressed with the tenderness of the chicken breast. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus, spanakopita, and assorted dips with pita - all great!“

“I came here for the chicken cheeseburger and fries, and both were really good -fresh, flavorful, and just the kind of comfort food you want. The service was friendly and the place feels cozy, nothing fancy but nice quality. I also tried the baklava since they didn’t have cheesecake that day. It was okay, maybe 6/10, not something I’d order again. But for sure, if you come here, get the chicken cheeseburger with fries , that’s the real highlight“

“I honestly don’t understand how this place could ever have bad reviews the food at Let’s Go Ya Souvlakia is fresh, delicious, and incredibly authentic! Everything tastes amazing and feels healthy. I especially love the bowls the chicken kabobs are my absolute favorite! I even asked to customize my chicken, and they did it perfectly for me. The staff is super nice and accommodating. You must try the gyro sandwich too absolutely 🤤 I just love this place!“

“There is no lack of Souvlaki restaurants in NYC, let alone Astoria, but Christos Souvlaki Stand stands out.
Your basic choices (as I understand them) are- skewer, sandwich, or platter. Then you choose chicken or pork. While your order is being assembled, a couple of additional questions: hot sauce (say yes, it’s not that hot), BBQ sauce (say yes, it’s not what you think), and “everything”? (Also say yes, as this includes Tatziki, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes.
I ordered a fantastic pork souvlaki sandwich (with all of the above). The pork had just the right amount of char and smoke from their natural charcoal, but it was still juicy and tender. The fresh pita became a sponge for all the delicious juice that needed a home before my belly. I had to take it home, but you can see its ample size. In total, I think it was $7!
If you need to get on the subway to come here, do it. It’s totally worth it.“

“Whoa! The food was amazing! Im pescatarian, so I had the fish, and it was delicious. Everything was so fresh. There was a humus plate with 3 different flavors, and the cucumbers were beautifully decorated around them. I must have eaten all of the cucumbers. In some restaurants, a fresh cucumber can be hard to come by. The fish arrived on a bed sautéed spinach, WOW ❤️❤️. The sliced pita bread with the humus was addictive. I definitely ate way more than I should have. While I dont eat meat, the other folks I was dining with said the chicken and beef options were just as delicious. It was family style, so we had lots of options. The restaurant is small but quaint, and the customer service was amazing. The food came out quickly, and there were about 13 of us. We had a reservation for 1 pm on a Thursday, and it was not crowded.
There isn't a lot of space to move around, so I would be conscious of carrying large bags or strollers.“

“Being seated by the bathroom and bar away from the main dining area and everyone else despite having a reservation for a dining table was not something we appreciated. “I was visiting from Scranton, PA and decided to stop by Soulvaki Spot on Crossbay Blvd and wow, it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. You can tell everything is made with care. The portions were generous! the staff was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was nice .
This place is truly a gem ! whether you’re local or just passing through, it’s worth the stop. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in New York!“
