“First met Danny & his family at their restaurant in Upper Nyack, Casa del Mare. It was our hometown favorite & sad when they closed. THEN we found him here, in Irvington! No place better for pizza, garlic knots & many other favorites. They treat you like family & are always happy to see their Rockland families. It’s worth the trip over the TZ Bridge!! Go & see for yourself! 5 stars for sure!!“

“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

I thought I’d found my “favorite pizzeria” until tonight. I decided to try something new so I ordered the Grandma Pie, Garlic Knots, and my boyfriend wanted Zeppoles. First off, seeing my pizza - and the small. Omg it looked so good! I loved how it didn’t flop, it was firm and had a very nice crust. Deep dish but not too doughy. The crushed tomato’s were incredible, the sauce, everything taste absolutely amazing. The garlic knots were great! Not overly oily like practically everywhere else… It all tasted fresh, especially the tomato’s. I usually don’t like tomato’s but wow. I’m in love. My boyfriend loved the his dessert as well.
