“This restaurant has quickly become my favorite place!!
The woman who owns it is so sweet and lovely! I love getting her recommendations and she makes all of the banchan and sauces herself!
I've gone several times and have ordered Bibimbap, Soon Tofu soup, sushi, seafood pancake, and chicken fried rice with kimchi. Everything is always so fresh and delicious!
The service is on the slower side (usually take around 45mins+) since they are a small team, but the food is completely worth it, and I personally don't mind the wait.“

“Great food. Fresh and delicious. We've been going for years. But the lady that works there, not sure if she is the owner or not, her demeanor and attitude is horrible. I'm not sure if she just dislike me and my family but we've also have had friends that have gone there and have said the same thing about her. The sushi team behind the counter are lovely. Everyone else is nice. We are regulars of a few years because of the good but honestly I didn't even know the name of the place because we literally call it mean lady sushi vs other places. I'm really not writing this to be mean but hopefully so that maybe they can work on her attitude with customers of years. It's really a shame bc we never enjoy the meal just the food.“

“So good . When you order takeout fried food, they wait to the last minute of your delivery time to put the food in the fryer. Don't complain if you have to wait a few extra minutes . To get hot crisp food instead of soggy cold stuff that steamed it self cold in the togo containers. LOVE THEM.“

“We had dinner at Matsu on Friday......its a little gem in Hillsdale. We were pleasantly surprised, by the quality and quantity of the food. The Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They very friendly and warm. It was a most enjoyable dinner. We have ordered food to takeout but hadn't been inside the restaurant since the pandemic.... We will definitely go again soon. “It is with a full stomach and heart that I am able to publicly share how wonderful Blu Sushi is. Not only is the fish the freshest, but it run by welcoming and friendly staff, chefs and owners. It is not often that you find a restaurant without any criticisms, but then I found Blu. The dining and take-out experiences are how all food establishments should be run. The staff are clearly happy and supported which makes it, without question, a smaller establishment that I am happy to patronize. If you are reading this and considering ordering or not, just do it. “Ordered the Chicken Katsu and Chicken tenders. Both came with sliced cabbage and rice. Both were equally delicious. The breading was perfect and the meat was tender.

They do take reservations and I would recommend making one if you have small children, they have a limited amount of high chairs.“

“Shared chicken teriyaki with extra meat with noodles and veggies- $17. Did the job. Chicken was tender & tasty. Not much taste on noodles and veggies (cabbage/broccoli) but they were not over cooked. 👍 I definitely prefered that it was not overly salted rather than overkill on the salt. Very fast service.“

Waiter Han and Chef Lou worked so seamlessly together—it honestly elevated the entire evening.
