The food is absolutely incredible. The steak was cooked to perfection—so soft, juicy, and full of rich flavor that every bite just melted in my mouth. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in their preparation. The rice was equally delicious—perfectly seasoned and a great complement to the meal.

And let’s not forget the drinks—refreshing, well-made, and the perfect addition to an already amazing dining experience.

“Sushi & Kimchi has become my new favorite comfy, cozy, and cute hideaway in Rockland for when I want the best tasting and authentic Korean and Japanese cuisine. Gina (owner) and Julie (waitress) are both absolutely lovely! Both Gina and the restaurant remind me of what I recall to have been the first Korean/Japanese sushi house in Bardonia, NY that I grew up up dining at in the early 2000’s and up until I moved out of state in 2008. Unfortunately, that location is no longer in business, but Sushi & Kimchi definitely gives all the nostalgic feels! The foos is always fresh and absolutely delicious, the portions are generous, the service is always on point, and you’re welcomed each time with a warm welcome from everyone! It’s a little hidden gem in a parking lot off of Route 59 in Nyack that winds down in the late afternoon and is calm in the evening. The perfect place to go for an overall relaxing experience that will have you leaving full after having enjoyed every last bite! I’ve also ordered through DoorDash and the presentation, temperature, taste and overall quality were all solid as well. Thoroughly impressed!

“my sister in law brought us to Gen Sushi and Hibachi. The food was amazing from the edamame appetizer to the miso soup to the fresh sushi and the teriyaki chicken. The four of us were all duly impressed with the food and the service!! Dinner started with warm hand towels provided by our kind and efficient server. Our food was not only served in a timely manner but the presentation was extremely impressive.
As we were finishing we noticed the chef preparing a sushi feast. The boat of sushi designed for a group of regular customers was incredible. One woman told us she drove 45 minutes just to have the fresh sushi. That is a high compliment!!
If you aren’t a fan of sushi the menu offers many other options. We will definitely visit again when we are in town.“

“It is with a full stomach and heart that I am able to publicly share how wonderful Blu Sushi is. Not only is the fish the freshest, but it run by welcoming and friendly staff, chefs and owners. It is not often that you find a restaurant without any criticisms, but then I found Blu. The dining and take-out experiences are how all food establishments should be run. The staff are clearly happy and supported which makes it, without question, a smaller establishment that I am happy to patronize. If you are reading this and considering ordering or not, just do it. “We had dinner at Matsu on Friday......its a little gem in Hillsdale. We were pleasantly surprised, by the quality and quantity of the food. The Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They very friendly and warm. It was a most enjoyable dinner. We have ordered food to takeout but hadn't been inside the restaurant since the pandemic.... We will definitely go again soon. Waiter Han and Chef Lou worked so seamlessly together—it honestly elevated the entire evening. “Positive vibes and a great experience. I’ve visited this place several times in person, and I’ve also done takeout a couple of times. The most recent time was takeout. I needed to feed a small group and asked about platter offerings, but was told they don’t have any set menus. They asked what I was looking for and made some recommendations to fit my needs and requested budget.

To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. They delivered and then some. It was a combination of various sushi, regular rolls, and specialty rolls.

They also asked about any potential allergies in the group, along with any specific preferences or dislikes.

The food was fantastic in taste and presentation. It was well packed and came with plenty of ginger, wasabi, and miso soup. They also gave me delicious tea while I waited for them to complete my order.

I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.“

After ordering and eating entirely too much delicious food the couple who owns the restaurant gave me a ride to the bus station. “We’ve been here many times, and the service is always excellent. It’s a great spot to visit, especially if someone in the group isn’t a fan of seafood. Although it’s a seafood restaurant, they offer a variety of delicious Korean dishes. Our favorites are 김치찌개, 돈까스, and 한치회무침—which almost tastes like 물회, just without the soup. All the rolls are fantastic as well. Highly recommend!“
