“The food was surprisingly amazing. I will definitely be ordering again. the only negative was the shrimp were unpeeled and whole head on which my daughter was very upset about lol I didn't like that, not everyone wants to eat food with eyes staring at you. otherwise, the crab legs and the spice, the veggies and the incredible sauce were honestly the best I've had in a long time. my daughter said that the mango smoothie was the best...my green juice was tasty but it was pretty thick more like a smoothie lots of pulps and probably would have been much better strained but I'm definitely excited to order again and find some new favorites on the menu. Overall we loved it.“

“I’m a highschool student trying to find good and cheap places to try in Astoria and this is definitely one of them!! Me and my bestfriend go here almost every week when we have money and buy the nutella special for only 6.50 (including tax) and it’s so amazing! Eli, the owner is so kind and always brings a smile to me and my friends face. If I had all the money in the world, I would definitely buy from here every day. The food here is also amazing—I remember one time me and my friend bought 3 crepes, 1 savory (ham and swiss) and 2 nutella specials. It was truly amazing and this place deserves all the attention it can get so please try it out!!“

“The egg toasts were delectable! Actually so happy my sister and I chose to come by. It has a tiny kick of spice which was a pleasant surprise. My sister got the vanilla flat white coffee and she loved it and finished it so quickly. The only thing I wasn't over the
moon for was the corndog. I got the mozarella hot dog corn dog and it was okay. I wouldn't get it again.

The space is small but offers some seating indoors and outdoors. I will definitely try to come again for the egg toast specifically.“

This eatery is a hidden gem in the mount Haven section of the BX...who knew!? Love the rustic casual ,chill vibe & the rooftop seating on a summer day is everything. The chocolate croissant and vegan carrot cake 🥰 My personal favorite is avocado toast with turkey bacon , arugula or the goddess bowl add a great cup of coffee or Chai latte it's all delish!! While their coffee and drinks are, of course, excellent, the food experience here is truly exceptional. Having worked in Lower Manhattan for over a decade and explored countless Midtown eateries, I can confidently say this is the pinnacle of Modern American Dining.

The dishes are incredibly delicate, refined, and, most importantly, exquisitely delicious. From their fantastic hamburger, where the bun and patty achieve a perfect harmony, to the diverse flavors of their Burrito, Shakshuka, and House Granola, every item is top-notch. Their Omelets, Pancakes, Lemon Chicken Paillard, and various sandwiches also consistently impress.

Even seemingly simple sides like their French fries and sweet potato fries are outstanding. Would be a perfect place to eat, if they at least had one all organic option.

“Cute well decorated shop with seating, plants, and cold vegan food. Wish they had outlets for laptops or fresh hot food. Looks like they have liquor but they’re closed after 3pm and on weekends so that doesn’t really make sense?. Tried a horchata latte and it was very sour and difficult to drink. Man happily fixed and changed it for me. Second drink still bad.. Would not eat here again but would come back for a casual daytime date just because of the cozy ambience & Great service.“

The chicken sandwich lunch special at Cafe Deux is amazing. I ordered the sandwich twice this week on wednesday and again on friday as it was that good !!! The chicken sandwich has a slight spice flavor but not too spicy and the garlic aioli sauce was such a great pairing with the sandwich. I really hope the chicken sandwich transitions from being a lunch special to being part of the main menu at Cafe Deux :)
Definitely ask to try any of their mixed drinks especially the lavender martini which is a great drink for the summer :)“

The staff was super friendly, and despite other reviews mentioning long wait times, my food came out quickly, even with a private event happening by the bar. The service was still impressively fast, PJ was amazing!

“Just wow. 11/10. As a person who was a local as of 4 days ago, boy am I sad to leave this place. (I know, I know, the picture in this review isn’t great quality- I didn’t want to be that person putting on her flash) but holy smokes. The smoked beet tartar is out of control- but you need to use the lemon! Or maybe not.. but the lemon made it even over the top. Third time here, in love with everything I’ve eaten (maybe minus the side of Mac and cheese, needs breadcrumbs!).

Service is phenomenal. Everyone here is trained so well and that I love most is the sweetness, the kindness, I overheard the person training staff. Really wonderful environment and the music is impressive.

The drinks are superb, every bar tender I’ve encountered is so knowledgeable and talented. Immensely grateful to see such a bipoc staff. Will be coming back for a date night so soon.“
