“Ripe Restaurant in the Bronx is a delightful culinary gem that impresses with its variety of dishes, especially the standout Rasta Pasta. This vibrant dish combines creamy sauce with a perfect blend of spices, creating a unique flavor that’s both comforting and exciting.
In addition to the Rasta Pasta, the restaurant offers an array of delectable appetizers, fresh salads, and mouthwatering entrees like grilled seafood and savory meat dishes. The vibe is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual dinners and special occasions.
The service is exceptional—attentive and friendly, ensuring every guest feels welcomed. Whether you’re a pasta aficionado or just looking for a great meal, Ripe delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend checking it out for a fantastic dining experience!“

“If you like authentic Jamaican food with real spices, pepper and all that, this is the place to go. It’s very clean and well maintained. Thank you Bishop Lynne Middleton for introducing me to this amazing restaurant. Yes the food was delicious! I don’t normally eat outside fried chicken but I decided to give it try with rice & peas with oxtail gravy, callaloo. I enjoyed the meal for 2 days. Even my friend who ordered oxtail, she was raving about it as well. She said, “I should’ve ordered 3 more meals.” I’ll be returning there very soon with another friend who likes authentic Jamaican food. ?“

“Very good food, drinks (descent) and atmosphere. The owners are friendly and will accommodate you as much as possible. I remember my very first time going there it was my 2018 2nd Masters Graduation celebration. The owner surprised me with a nice setting with tables and covered chairs, great lighting and the aviance was breathtaking. My guest, family and I thought it was quite impressive. The prices are reasonable as well.“

“There is no atmosphere to rate, the service is hit or miss. They can have a bit of an attitude. Normally the oxtail are out of this world good, but lately they have been a bit off. The last plate I got they were so fatty that I barely got any bites of just the meat. Meh.“

“Great food but terrible customer service I absolutely love your restaurant the food is amazing! But honestly, some of your staff could really use hospitality training. There’s no reason I should be leaving upset just because an employee didn’t want to serve me over something as small as extra gravy. Without customers, there wouldn’t even be a business, so the service needs to reflect that.“

“"While the food was flavorful and the atmosphere was good, my experience with the owner was disappointing and raised questions about the establishment's integrity because he charged me $40.00 for hookah when it was only 20.00.“

“Had JerkQ’zine cater the cocktail hour of my wedding this past weekend on 10.10.2020. I ordered many small bites including cocktail patties, assorted surprise dumpling bites, and fritters. I did not get to sample the bites as they were all thoroughly enjoyed by my guests! Contact information was also provided to many who asked. Thank you Jerk Q’zine for making my day successful! #jerkq’zine“
“I can still and will always remember November 13th. This was one of the most important day of my life my wedding day. I went to the restaurant to speak with Mr. McKnight of this my special day about 2 weeks f before the due date, this is so because the first time I ate his meal I felt as I was floating on dry land the food was off the chain. From then I told him that whenever I am getting married he have to do the catering for me. He was excited and happy for me. All he said was write what I wanted on the menu and he would do the rest. Wow wow wow what can I say the food was one in a million. The guests enjoy ever bit of what was provided and wanted to know more about his business. Guess what I later found out that I even got dishes that was not on my menu. Mr. McKnight continue doing what you doing. All the best in you endeavors.“

“Its rare to go to a jamaican restaurant and they have a full comprehensive menu with all items available 7 days a week. In most places they only serve certain items on certain days. Everything is available everyday here. And the taste is top notch. From now on, I will come here everytime I'm in NYC.“
