“The service was fantastic — easily the best waiter I’ve had in years! He never rushed us, even though we ordered slowly, and was incredibly kind and attentive. I wish I knew his name so I could give him proper recognition.
The ambiance and food were also excellent. I wasn’t personally a fan of the banana tiramisu, but I really appreciated the authenticity of all the dishes.“

“Found this spot from a book called Drink Like a Local and glad I did. Walked in about 6 and the bar area was packed on a Wednesday. Found an open spot an ordered a Toasted Ham and Cheese and a Revolver. The food was good although I would have went with stone ground mustard instead of Dijon. The drink was burbon, coffee liqueur, and vanilla which came together very nicely. Would definitely go back.“

“Server was great. Nice atmosphere, even if it’s a bit barnlike. Pub grub was tasty. We had planned to go somewhere else, but they were open and welcoming here. I would deduct a star for them putting alcohol in my friend’s no-alcohol drink but, in our case, luckily it wasn’t an issue.“

“Ok. It’s a good burger. But it wasn’t fantastic. The kimchi flavor could be much stronger. I think the patties could be juicer and less cooked. It almost wasn’t.. greasy? Enough?
If you want to try Nowon but don’t want to wait for a reservation, they’re on DoorDash. I just picked up a burger. It was actually well packaged which I appreciated.
They have gluten free burgers!! The gluten free bun was pretty decent. Still tastes gluten free, ofc, but it’s not that bad.“

“The Malt House had a really good burger and fries definitely hit the spot. But the mocktails were a miss for me. We ordered a non-alcoholic mojito, and I’m pretty sure they added bitters, which threw off the taste. The music was also a bit of a turnoff… it felt like a mix of Halloween tunes and Broadway songs, which didn’t match the vibe at all. That said, the space looked nice and the staff was friendly and attentive.“

“When a place has been around since the 19th century is now both queer & vegan friendly, that says something! We enjoyed delicious local beer on tap and each person had the exact burger they wanted. The servers were attentive and kind - food came fast and was all made fresh. Definitely stop by here next time you’re near union square - or make it your destination activity.“

“A ideal quiet spot in Midtown East in the late afternoon, probably the only one with all the construction going on Lexington Avenue outside, for a cordial business meeting for coffee or a glass of wine, with very welcomng and professional waiters.“

“Lively sports bar with good service and polite staff. The prices are affordable, making it a great spot to hang out. They also have a speakeasy downstairs, where I attended a private event. It’s a pretty cool space with an exposed original brick ceiling, adding to the charm.
Kid-friendliness: No“

“Absolutely love Ten Degrees, one of my favorite bars in the East Village to come to with friends. This bar provides a fun and inviting experience, from its tasty drinks to the attentive bartenders. Def has one of the best Happy Hour specials around Tompkins Sq Park! Would 10/10 recommend for a fun night out ;)“
“Came on last day in New York and I would highly recommend . The panini’s were fabulous and the bartender was lovely. Hidden gem in my book 😉“

“Really enjoyed our evening here! The cocktails were super innovative - they have “beertails” which are cocktails made with beer! We also tried their classic “mini” souvlaki and the 8 hour braised octopus! Our favorite was the Lamb Shank that fell right off the bone - we will definitely be back!“

“Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick drink with some friends. Had no issues getting a spot right at the bar and woman behind the taps was not only funny, but very helpful and attentive and is really the reason I liked the place so much! The place has great drink specials for happy hour, and besides the price they are also well made. Didn't get the chance to try the food, but I sure was tempted with everyone ordering around us what seemed like really some good classic pub food. If I'm ever around the area, I'm definitely inclined to come back and try more.“

“I came here for dinner with friends and we all enjoyed it! The interior of the restaurant is cozy and we got a booth seating. Service was fairly quick, and staff was friendly.
We ordered a variety of dishes: the cucumbers, kaisendons (the mini and uni ones), the squid, the chicken and meat assortments, chicken karaage, and okonomiyaki. Everything was delicious. My friends loved their cucumbers and mini kaisendon, while I loved their squid and uni kaisendon. The skewers were delicious and juicy, and I highly recommend trying their assortments. Definitely one of my favorite izakayas in the city, so far.“

“I visited this bar for the 1st time. I tried the soy garlic fried chicken and scallion pancake. I also tried their lechee Sojo. I hope I spelled that correctly. The drink was delicious. The apple sojo was delicious as well. I didn't wake up with a hangover, and I drank a lot. I tried the karaoke, and that was so much fun. I would come back.“

“Had such a great experience at Versa! The rooftop views are definitely the highlight — you get an amazing look at the city, and it’s the perfect spot for summer nights. We came for drinks and apps, and everything was honestly better than expected. The cocktails were super refreshing (highly recommend the spicy margarita) and the food was really solid for a rooftop spot — definitely not just an ‘overpriced for the view’ kind of place.
The vibe is lively but still chill enough that you can actually have a conversation. Music was great, and the staff was super friendly and attentive even though it was busy. Definitely recommend for a fun night out with friends or even a casual date night. It gives you that NYC rooftop energy without feeling too pretentious. Will definitely be back!“

“This victorian inspired restaurant was very pleasant to the eyes. It really looks like you’re stepping back in time. I hear they offer an afternoon tea. I would like to come back and try that someday but we were here for dinner and it was wonderful. We had the lobster ravioli, and the steak and frites. Everyone we came in contact with was attentive and pleasant. They also have a full bar so I imagine they have a great cocktail hour or so.“

“What an awesome place. came in for the flyers/rangers game. wanted a spot with tvs, and great food and drink. Awesome music, and it's one of the more refined sports bars in the area with only a 2 min walk to Madison Square Garden. The staff was amazing and so welcoming. Will definitely be returning soon. The Assistant General manager was a babe!“

“Max is the best bartender at the best bar in the East Village.
There are games behind the counter, for example, chess, backgammon, Yahtzee, etc.
A billiards table near the back always has competition. Many people battle to be the king of the table until closing.
The early weekdays are quieter than the large crowds on Thursday-Saturday.
The summer heat won't get you in the well air conditioned bar.
Also, Max plays good music.“

“Amazing and inventive Korean food in the East Village. Must-have starter is the scallop DIY gimbap where you create your own bites with seaweed. Great combination of sauces gives it an incredible umami mouthfeel.
For entrees, dolsot al-bop has the uni flavor in the form of bibimbop, served in a sizzling bowl. And the fried soft-shell crab is to die for.
Only complaint is feeling rushed by servers to clear plates and present the bill before being asked.“
