“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“We used to frequent the Astoria location which was always so great. The new Manhattan location is no different. Somewhat smaller, but just very cozy and very nice looking. Amazing food as always. The flavors and taste are just the best. No matter what you order you will not go wrong. The service is top notch and Rocco and his staff are just the best at what they do. “The location is beautiful and it was a great rest stop to grab lunch along the route I work and the owner was super friendly we talked about Midwood Brooklyn where I live and he even knew about the local pizza shop in my neighborhood. We ended up ordering the deep dish style vodka pizza with chicken cutlet and let me tell you, it was AMAZING. The picture speaks for itself. They made it fresh so it took around 30 minutes but it was well worth the wait. The large size could easily feed 4-5 people and for the price you can’t beat it! Will be back soon for sure“
