“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“This was my first time entering this pizza shop. My husband works at the hospital, so I caught the train to New Rochelle to meet him but I was very hungry and was craving pizza all day. I googled pizza shop near me and I believe 3 popped up. Well I chose Mario’s shop, and was not disappointed. Something about that pizza sauce was different. It was so delicious and the crunchy crust was everything!!!! My husband told me I made a “good choice” after he swallowed his slices lol. I’m adding this shot to my list for sure. Oh and thank you so much for the seltzer water😉, your customer service was top tier!! 👍🏾“

The salads & pastas are always fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. And the staff? They treat us like family every time we come in. “The young lady helping me today was super attentive, I didn't get her name, but it's 12-13-2025 at 11AM .
I wanted to tip her, it's Holiday season, but she kindly said they don't accept tips.
I feel that the owners should leave that up to us whether we want to recognize an employee by tipping and not dictate it whatsoever.
That is my only complaint.

“Nice hole-in-the-wall place in the neighborhood. When that pizza is fresh, those slices are great. Usually I go towards the end of the night. Nick is always a good chat when I go in and see what's available. This place also is on Too Good To Go, so that helps. Zeppoles and garlic knots are both solid. Not a lot of downsides to this spot. Stop in if you walk by!“

“The food was very good. Everything was fresh and had great flavor. Wide selection of options so good for families. The service was not good. It took forever to get menus (we had to ask eventually) and it was almost half hour before we got our drinks and placed our order. Even more odd, we never knew who our waiter was. Normally they introduce themselves but I felt like we ordered from two or three different people. The value and quality was great. The amount of food we got for the price was enough to feed more than our table of 5. This is good value spot for big families to get an affordable and quality dinner Overall, not a terrible experience and would try again. If the service had been on par, this would've been a 5 easily.“

“While the fried calamari that my partner had was very good, the cheeseburger that I ordered, not so good. The meat and the bun and all were fresh and good, but while I preferred medium it didn't exactly come out that way even after two tries by the kitchen. Their version of medium came out as raw red meat on the first bite. They took it back but and brought out another and although half was close to medium the other half was rare bordering on raw. After eating the good half I gave up and filled up on the fries (average). I pointed this out to another server but nothing was offered in terms of a discount or comp so we just paid and left. Had better luck with the bar drinks, fwiw.“

“I’ve been wanting to try this pizza spot for a while but never made the time to stop in—even though it’s right across from my doctor’s office. I finally went today and I’m so glad I did!

The owner was so genuine and kind, and it was great chatting with him. He mentioned he doesn’t use sugar in his tomato sauce, which I really appreciated.

I ordered the Napoli Special with peppers, onions, sausage, pepperoni, and meatballs—absolutely delicious! Perfectly crispy thin crust with just the right amount of toppings. Easily the best pizza I’ve had in a long time.

My family devoured most of it as soon as I got home. We’ll definitely be back! 🍕“

“I’m Italian from Tuscany, not a pizza expert as a Neapolitan but i still can understand if a pizza is good or not, I moved in US a couple of decades ago and this place is in my top ten list, sadly is far from where I live but I will stop again in my next trip in the area.

“Excellent italian restaurant. Fresh garlic bread and focaccia was really good. Calamari modo nostro with the cherry peppers and chili honey was a delicious combination, the baked clams appetizer were out of this world, the lemon wine sauce had us licking our fingers. Chicken scarpriello and spicy rigatoni were excellent. Espresso martini was delicious. My husband had frankies old fashion, was one of the best he ever had. They do accept credit and debit cards. Service was excellent and the host Nick was very charming. See you soon frankies.“

“Gino’s vs Unberto’s is like the Torchy Taco vs Taco Deli debate in Austin. They are both high-quality products, but I am more old school NY style pizza, and Gino’s edges out the “newcomer” by is more traditional NY slice style and sauce.“

We were the only ones in the restaurant during lunchtime. When it came to receiving our bill she put the wrong price down she said there was no manager to talk to which she lied to us. Overall Service and Food at the St.Albert location I would definitely not recommend on the other hand McGrath on the southside excellent for service food everything etc.“
