“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“This is one of many places to eat in LGA and it’s pretty darn good… at least for Italian style breakfast food it is. After placing my order I was watching the lady make other people’s food and the French toast looked beautiful! Lots of people were ordering pizza for breakfast and that looked pretty good too. I tried their breakfast stromboli, spinach and egg and cheese… the dough was beautiful looking and so was the entire thing in the display case. She heated up several minutes before giving it to me. I also got a side of sauce to dip it in.

When I sat down to eat it, it smelled and looked great. The flavors were fresh and spot on, especially the freshness of the spinach! Definitely would return in the future!“

It snaps instead of biting into a pillow of heavy dough. the sauce is just right, not tart where you’ll have instant heartburn & not sweet where it tastes like some garbage out of a jar! “I actually dined at Kyria two nights in a row (Thursday and Friday evenings). The food is outstanding/fabulous; the decor is lovely - chic and elegant without being too dressy. The servers both evenings were very attentive and helpful. The noise level on Friday (as expected) was louder than I'd have preferred... as it was a bit difficult to hear the person across the table for two at which we dined. (Thursday evening was a pleasure in terms of accoustics.). Kyria is a restaurant that is not to be missed.... and is certainly one to visit frequently.“

“Came all the way from Brooklyn to go to the Bronx Zoo and found this amazing restaurant to go to afterwards. The ambiance is chic, rustic and cozy. The food is absolutely delicious. The fried calamari was perfectly fried, the lobster ravioli was soooo yummy, and I enjoyed the pepperoni hot honey pizza as well. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. My passion fruit margarita was really good too, as were the espresso martini, cheesecake and pistachio ice cream. I highly recommend this hidden gem and will definitely return next time I’m in the area.“

“I recently went for dinner with a small group of- it was the first time for all of us. I didn't have high expectations, but was very pleased with our meal and the service.
The restaurant is on the small side (I suggest a reservation), but very attentive, and the bar area is very cute and modern. Our waitress was very attentive, and everything we ordered was delicious, including my spicy cucumber margarita. To start we shared the falafel platter, large enough to be shared, and the fire roasted eggplant in a green herb tahini sauce (I think that's what it was) - tender and delicious! I had the special brussel sprout Cesar salad w/ added grilled chicken, and others ordered the salmon and enjoyed it. We didn't order dessert, but I'll definitely try something sweet next time!“

“I'm still dreaming about my experience at The Mountain House! Their tasting menu is delicious, with many options for each course that will satisfy any appetite. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the venison was the best tasting venison to exist. The fig panna cotta and pistachio cake were so rich and delicious, my taste buds will still bursting well after dinner was over. The views of the redwoods were a beautiful touch to the ambiance that made dinner even more magical.“

“Great place for homestyle Italian of another era. The restaurant is a fast casual pizza joint facing 2nd and a quiet sit down restaurant facing 92nd. The garlic knots in the bread bowl are delicious. We liked the eggplant parmigiana with thinly sliced eggplant, minimal breading, and light not-too-sweet sauce. The garlicky broccoli has nice sautéed garlic and wasn’t watery. The desserts were well presented. We liked the airy texture of the tiramisu and tartufo. Staff was patient with requests.“
