“My plus one and I really enjoyed our time here. We had just gotten home from vacation and were in a mood for Ramen and this place did not disappoint.
Let me just say that this place has such a traditional Japanese vibe to it…the staff is warm and welcoming and the food was spectacular.
We had the ramen, both original and spicy and it was very delicious. We also had two Asahi beers and called it a day.
Overall, I will come back to this place more often.“

“It’s the best sushi place in ridgewood without a doubt by every metric imaginable. But please I’m begging for the love of nori, please stop blasting country music at all hours of every day. I want so badly to sit and enjoy my food but this music is making my spicy crab taste like baked beans and confederacy.“

“It was a group of 5 for dinner on a Saturday night and my second time. It was not too busy. We had make reservations, I expected for them to have us sit on the corner so it would be easier to talk to each other but they did not reserve those seats for us so that was a bummer. It was harder to talk when we are sitting all in one row. Some of the fish pieces were a bit fishy. Otherwise, our waiter was very attentive and made sure we were ok with the salt/spice level of the food. Our sushi chef also made sure our ginger was always refilled. I enjoyed my meal but it was not as good as our first time.“

“Ginza Don in the Golden Mall Food Court, Flushing, Queens, offers an astonishing dining experience with its donburi rice bowls topped with a variety of proteins like beef, rib eye, steak, and eel, all cooked right in front of you. Watching the food being prepared adds a unique touch to the meal. Their new appetizers, like the mozzarella cheese sausage and crunchy karaage fried chicken, are absolutely delicious. The order process was easy and we got 3 rolls (Dragon/Spicy Tuna/Yellow Tail), Gyoza and a Seaweed Salad all for a very reasonable price! “Sushi yoshi was one of the only spots open before noon so we gave it a shot! Everything was fresh - exactly what you might want from the spicy rolls and the eel avocado was definitely our favorite. Don’t sleep on the Korean fried wings - the texture was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We were hoping for the spicy wings but got original instead I think - either way they were quality and delivery was fast.“

“First of all, customer service is amazing. They were super kind and my order of 4 Hibachi dinners was done in less than 20 minutes. Second of all, the second I walked in, I could smell the fresh chicken. Third of all, when I took a bite of the food, it was straight up amazing. I will be coming back!“

The waitress usually offers us hot tea, on the house, which is very nice and helps in the cold weather.

If you can, go in person. Going in person here is such a more satisfying experience than over paying a delivery app with a bunch of fees. Great service. Great food. Great value. Can’t ask for much more!“

“I tried the poke bowl, takoyaki, and tofu steak at Ooi Sushi Bar—and everything was so good and incredibly fresh. The poke bowl was flavorful with perfectly marinated fish, the takoyaki had that crispy-outside, creamy-inside texture that hits just right, and the tofu steak was a total standout—crispy, savory, and full of umami. I saw good reviews on Grubhub and quite a few ppl mentioned it on Astoria reddit. I figured let me order a 3 roll lunch combo and see for myself. I was really impressed. The sushi was amazing and fresh! Good size rolls too. When I would order from Sakura they would be bite size. I do like Watawa too but I can’t justify paying $10 for a simple roll. This how I settled on Kumo. I def recommend Kumo for a good sushi fix.“

“Abi has been my go-to Japanese in Astoria for nearly 10 years. They have hands down, THE best veg udon soup I've ever had. My partner and i order it regularly along with any of their many incredible vegan rolls. I wish they would label everything that's vegan as vegan, because they have an honestly impressive amount of options, and it's literally ALL good. Tofu nuggets, sweet potato, pumpkin, oh my... Their haru maki rolls are also vegan, and absolutely delicious.
