“Brought my sister here who is gluten free and we both loved their gluten free choices. I had an egg white, mushroom, truffle crepe and she had a Thai chicken crepe. Both were delicious. The service was great and the man that helped us was very knowledgeable about the menu. I live out of state but would definitely come back when in town. The Thai iced tea was really good too.“

“Sushi is always fresh, the rolls were very well made- Chef is great :) . Everyone is friendly. Sue is great. My mom always asks about Sue, we love her! The other staff is nice ad well. “This spot is a neighborhood GEM. I hope the people living here know this. Best Sushi and sashimi for miles around. Solid everytime. The fish is kept well and served well. The whole family works here and they are so nice and friendly. The dad who is the sushi chef has one of the fastest hands around. He just cranks the orders out like butter. The store has about 6 tables but they are never packed. But while I dine in the takeout orders are endless. This man can handle it all and still can chat with you.I wish I lived nearby.... “I'd recommend this place ... sort of. We chose to sit on the dining side since it was only two of us and didn't want the "show". The service was friendly and good but not overly attentive. Our drinks were very good and a fair price (we had the Oceanside Zombie but without the Sprite added). We both ordered the hibachi surf and turf (lobster and filet mignon) which came with a house salad and clear soup, both of which we really enjoyed. The filet was tasty but the pieces were cut very unevenly so some pieces were medium rare and others were close to well done. The lobster tail was very small and too salty. I would not order it again. I was completely disappointed that the veggies were drowning in teriyaki sauce. There was no indication on the menu that they are served in sauce. I typically love hibachi vegetables but I hate teriyaki sauce! They reminded me more of Chinese takeout vegetables than Japanese hibachi. The fried rice was good but not the best. It came with lots of peas and I hate peas. Another disappointment but not a surprise was they don't offer hibachi mustard sauce. Like so many other places these days they offer yum yum sauce instead which we refused because, yuck yuck. They offered us some ice cream on the house (I think because the server knew I was very disappointed about the teriyaki sauce). It came to the table in little plastic cafeteria style cups with the pull back paper top. LOL. I'm glad it did though because the top listed the ingredients and let's just say, we immediately sent the ice cream back. All in all, not the greatest hibachi experience but also not the worst. I would maybe go back for drinks and try some other menu items ... and hold the teriyaki sauce!“

“Some of you coming from TikTok or insta need to lower your expectations a bit. This is a tiny 2 people run cafe serving home style Japanese sandwiches and ramen not a fancy omakase restaurant. It was never meant to handle this volume of business and some of you complaining about the owner’s attitude need to think about this from the owner’s perspective a bit. I came on a pretty busy day and witnessed this man dealing with a bunch of high school kids going in and out of his shop asking for a million things but got forbid the man’s a little cranky bc heck I would’ve told them to get out. But he still served them and served me and apologized for the wait which I greatly appreciated. And was it the best sandwich and ramen I’ve ever had? No but it was pretty dang good for a cafe in the middle of Queens. Some of y’all need to chill.“
