“I came with my girlfriends for brunch for a belated birthday. We started off with unlimited mimosas. I had four glass and was tapped out. The waiter knew it was my birthday and he kept making sure my glass was full at all times. I had the poach eggs. My friend had the omelette and my other friend has the dish with the amazing bread. They both order hanger steak on the side and it was cook to perfection. I had a wonderful time and I truly recommend giving it a try. You won’t be disappointed in the food nor the atmosphere. “Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
“I grabbed dinner here and it did not disappoint. This was a cute and cozy spot just a few steps from the L train. For cocktails, I started with the Spicy Mezcal Marg. It wasn't my favorite, as I expected it to be spicier, since Szechuan peppercorn and Calabrian chili were some of the ingredients used. My next drink was the Hugo Spritz, which was amazing!! It made up for the first drink: it was refreshing and sweet (but not too sweet). For apps, we had the Rye Pita and hummus. Now let me just say, I am not a hummus girlie, but the hummus here was so flavorful and smooth. It wasn't gritty as I have experienced in the past. It definitely paired well with the pita. The star of the show was the Lahmajun, which is sort of like a pizza (without cheese) with lamb. I was pleasantly surprised. The lamb, the herbs & spices were just so delicious. Our server told us to dip it in the hummus and I had no regrets. We also had the braised chicken thigh, which felt very much like comfort food. The chicken was seasoned generously and cooked to perfection. We also had the lamb meatballs, which were so tender. The pairing with pomegranate really brought the flavors out. Overall, I definitely unlocked some new tastebuds here lol. I would return again for the Lahmajun alone! Service was exceptional as well :)“

You can just tell the food is going to be good when you walk in. We got the burrata and garlic bread as apps - both were really good but the garlic bread was my favorite! I got the short rib pappardelle as my entree, which was delicious and very fresh. They also have a nice wine menu to choose from. I keep seeing burgers in reviews but it wasn’t on the menu that day. Only thing negative is the service—we kept being forgotten about and had to ask for the check three separate times. “i ordered their prosciutto and burrata (which comes with imported burrata and 24 Month prosciutto di parma), tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino and black pepper), and infernetto pinsa (roman style pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, and pecorino). all in all, every dish was made with fine ingredients and was cooked well. the burrata was very creamy and delicious, i would recommend it if you’re a fan of burrata cheese. the pizza had a good coal fire taste to it and came out hot and flavorful (the spicy soppressata was tasty, but i would like to try some of their other flavors eventually). the cacio e pepe was tasty and had a strong pecorino flavor (creamy, rich, slight cheesy musk to it). the pasta had good texture and mouthfeel (firm al dente noodles). all in all a decent spot for italian!“

The process are reasonable too, just beware that they do add a 20% gratuity automatically if there are 5 or more people in your party, which annoyed me quite a bit after tipping an additional 20% and not realizing it until after the fact.“

The mushroom fettuccine had a better flavor but also could’ve had more flavor. Kale salad was alright; good as a $3 add on to pasta. Arancini was pretty crunchy but not sure if worth the price.Cramped sitting area but we managed to find a table for 5. Overall, reasonable pricing, good pasta texture but flavor was lacking.“

We dined/partied at Michael’s of Brooklyn Restaurant, and immediately were made to feel at home, as we were treated like Kings!!! The ambiance is very warm, classy, spacious, yet quite comfortable. The food is absolutely exquisite, scrumptious, delicious, course after course, dish after dish, with beautiful presentations.We started off with a Campari & Soda with Lemon, and a Bourbon Concoction from the Cocktail Menu. More Campari, and a Tangueray Negroni followed. Then Scotty and I sampled: The Chilled Crabmeat Cocktail & delightful Fried Calamari Appetizers. For the entrées, my Boy had a perfectly cooked Medium Rare Filet Mignon, with Asparagus. I chose The House Special, a melt-in-your-mouth Veal Chop Parmigiana, with a side of Spaghetti Bolognese.Two and a half hours into our meal, we made room for dessert. Scott had the largest Lobster Tail, stuffed with Whipped Creme and drizzled with Chocolate Ganache Sauce, that I’ve ever seen. He paired that with a Frangelico Coffee. I had an Assorted Sherbet dish with 5 Amazing flavors of Sherbet, and paired that with a Double Espresso and Romana Sambvca…...I purposely parked two blocks away, in Marine Park, Brooklyn, as I knew I would need a stroll after this tremendous dinner, and I have no problem walking City Streets around Midnight, even though I’m carrying a Louis Vuitton “Murse” clutch. (Famous Defense Attorney), and Billionaire Businessman, Political Talk Show Host, John Catsimatidis and a whole host of politicians also dine here. Additionally, I understand that this is a favorite restaurant of Andrew Dice Clay’s and of Joe Piscopo’s, amongst a whole host of other celebrities.
