“Was it better back in the 2000s and before? Definitely, but it’s still a solid diner. Their pancakes are amazing, it has that old school NY diner taste to them, that I crave from time to time. Fair portions, and cheaper than chain restaurants like ihop. Just wish they served better sausage links, but still decent so can’t complain.“

“Mikes has been a staple in the community for almost 40 years i remember bringing my kid to have breakfast on Saturday mornings before her activities it was cheap and cheerful Pratt students and faculty would be there as well. Now its practically same staff bathroom remodeled and costs have increased but so as everuthing else same friendly and fulfilling breakfast no bells and whistles but simple good food“

“Had dinner here and it was very tasty. The establishment interior is a small refined diner. Four booth seats bar top and two stand alone tables. The booth seating was plush and comfortable to fit up to four diners. One waitress and bartender on duty, with a small kitchen. We were sat and waited on fast, but food took sometime as the place filled up fast after. We ordered the steak and the wedge salad and fries. Took roughly 25-30 minutes for the food to come out. The Steak portion was tiny, not diner sized but to be expected for the area. The meat was tender and well seasoned the potatoes were soft and complemented the dish. The wedge salad was cheesy and well seasoned.“

The place is small but customers are wise to eat and allow others to enjoy breakfast and great burgers for lunch. “Had breakfast there twice. Once solo and the next time with my wife. Consecutive Tuesdays. Just there this morning, after the golf range at Chelsea Piers. It's a combination of Greek and Mexican specialties. I have sampled the eggs overeasy with corned beef and this time had three poached eggs with fresh tomato and feta, home fries and coffee. All wonderful. My wife had fried eggs with ham on top of grilled taco. She loved it. This is a top notch diner with excellent service.“

The door person & security were great, took a second to get in but they were polite & had to let in a few guest before me. I got to see DJ Ellie play and for a Thursday it was busy pretty early. The dj before Ellie was good, the service was fine & people were dancing. Great mood for a Thursday in lower Manhattan. I’ll have to try the food next time.“

“We went for brunch to this restaurant with our grandchildren. We were greeted by the nicest waiters of all time. My husband and I had the Club Sandwich and our grandson had pancakes and bacon. The portions were so generous and quite affordable. Our granddaughter was sleeping in a stroller and the lady who greeted us even helped us tilt the back of her stroller down and find the perfect place to sit to accommodate her.
