“My favorite weekend indulgence! I tend to get a sugary coffee (butterscotch latte is a personal fave) or tea (London fog, anyone?). They have a lot of great drink options and good breakfast pastries too, with plenty of vegan options there if you're so inclined.“

“Do you love excellent coffee? I mean, like really, really good coffee? Not orange-mocha-frappuccinos? Then go to Buddies. I travel a lot, and one of the best parts of travel is the morning coffee quest. I like cappuccinos with whole milk and no sweetener. And I despise foamy cappuccinos or lattes pretending to be cappuccinos. Buddies is without a doubt the single best cappuccino I drank in 2024. And then I drank it 3 more times just to be sure. And after the 4th one I feel even more certain that Buddies is the greatest. And, Taylor is the nicest, most patient person you will meet all day. My partner accidentally spilled his drink on the counter and Taylor was so kind about it and even made him another drink. If you like good coffee and nice people and small businesses, Buddies is for you!“

“I love this place so much and it always hits the spot. It’s such a homey vibe and I’m always so impressed with how efficiently they can make food considering how small the open kitchen is. I’ve tried several things on the menu and they all slap. I love the effort that’s put into the presentation and you really can’t beat the price.
Most importantly i love that the kitchen is like 3 tias - it tugs my heart strings“

“Favorite coffee shop in NYC - it would be so nice if they opened a couple more spots around the city
I've been going here at least weekly for over a year now and only had good experiences. I only wish they stopped taking orders over the previous customer's shoulder - ie having to place the order while the person before is finishing payment. I don't mind the extra 10 secs of wait time, and in any case when it's a little busier, placing orders is not really the bottleneck.“

“The best coffee in NYC, probably in New York State. All the staff are amazing, and the owner, Ben, is the nicest guy you’ll meet. Once you meet him, you can see why the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I have travelled and tasted specialty coffee around the world, not much compared to villager. The coffee options are constantly rotating, I fully trust Ben’s palate to showcase a beautiful coffee at his beautiful cafe. The interior is really cozy and welcoming with espresso based equipment located toward the front of the bar, whilst reserving the back-end of the bar to the delicious pourovers they are constantly brewing.
If you are in NYC, you MUST check out Villager.“

“Was bummed they didn’t have their honey cinnamon latte so I opted to get their mandarin latte instead which was amazing! Service was a bit slow as it was quite busy on a Thursday morning. Would definitely recommend trying their specialty drinks!“

“They have the best cappuccino and espresso around. They don't have real mugs for drinking in the place though. It's all paper.
They have one couch, and a nice outdoor space (unheated), so I would not recommend it for a date in the winter. Lots of laptop people.“

“Really great food. Love the fried rice; it's excellent. Great place to study or to get work done. Good vibe. Friendly and attentive staff. Good boba tea with the option to adjust the amount of sugar added to your boba (as they do in healthier parts of the world). I really like the Taro. Gets busy around 3 when local middle schoolers take hold of the space. They only hang out for about 30 mins though and move on. Wifi works very well. Most importantly, the bathroom is CLEAN!“

“This is so close to my home and great for the neighborhood. The staff are great. I ordered a Mocha. It tasted great. Too strong a drink for so late in the day. Their baked goods look amazing. I didn't try any of those as of yet. I have only been there once but since I work from home, it's nice to have a place nearby to getaway from working and living out of my home. Thanks for opening up a nice cafe for us. Our neighborhood needs something nicer than Dunkin Donuts.“

“Excellent coffee, matcha, tea, and treats!
Their standard menu is excellent but their ever-changing seasonal menu is next level. Check out their Instagram for the latest. Past seasonal drinks from memory: the sweet corn einspanner (crossing fingers for a fall return!), the marshmallow dream cream (yum!), blueberry matcha latte, and most recently the apricot cardamom espresso tonic. All delicious and unique. I also really appreciate that they have non-caffeine options for kids and adults alike - even the decaf espresso is great. You'll also want to save room for their treats and...If you're still reading this, just go already.“

“I come here for the atmosphere & the activities. The drink flavors are adventurous yet simple enough that someone who doesn’t like change can still enjoy.
All summer I enjoyed the strawberry matcha latte, but this time around the barista was gladly able to make a matcha & hot chocolate mic for me. We also tried the Rosemary Maple latte, we really enjoyed. Thank you Nook!“

“My absolute favorite place in New York. Luckily, Mike’s Coffee Shop survived the pandemic and is still as heartwarming a place as ever.
Simply a nice, original shop where you can have a good breakfast, be served by nice people and enjoy a perfect breakfast without any big fuss for little money.
Thank you for the years of quality at the best level.
Vegetarian options: There are many egg dishes, fries and pancakes that make many vegetarians' hearts beat faster.“

“We hosted our wedding at FTP two weeks and had a more wonderful time we could’ve ever imagined. The day truly exceeded our expectations. From the get go the event manager Rachel was a dream to work with. She is creative, organized, encouraging and realistic. Exactly the kind of person you want to be working with when planning a large and complicated event. We had an Indian American fusion wedding and she allowed us incorporate all the elements that were most important to us. Even as we threw twists and turns at her she took it in stride (for example we wanted to serve chai which isn’t typically on their menu, but instead of just telling us no like so many other venues/caterers would’ve, we found a creative solution that worked for all of us and were able to serve it). We created a custom menu with them that was all vegetarian and my goodness, it was genuinely incredible. On top of the custom menu, they worked with us to provide two different sets of custom dishes served out to a handful of guests with very specific dietary restrictions (one was gf/celiac safe, the other was for a traditional Jain diet). We have been getting endless compliments on how good all of the food was. It made life so much easier being able to work with a venue that could provide the space, the food, the bar package, the staff, the flowers, and even the tables and chairs (though you are also welcome to bring in your own if you prefer). They encourage you to decorate the space however you want but the venue is so inviting and beautiful that it hardly needs additional decor. Not only was Rachel a dream to work with but all the staff that worked our wedding were fantastic. We’ve heard from many guests that the warm and inviting nature of all the staff, and especially the bartenders, went a long way in helping create a wonderful atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend this venue more highly!!“

“Amazing atmosphere. Went with family of 5 to celebrate small birthday. It was our first time. We were immediately greeted by a friendly waiter, both waiters were very nice and polite. Our waiter explained the foods and drinks for us. The food and drinks were delicious, all of us were highly satisfied. Overall this place is a hidden gem. Can’t wait to go back for breakfast time.“

“It is a cozy little coffee shop but you will be amazed that their food and coffee are extraordinary. I ordered a strawberry and banana crepe as the friendly staff suggested. Wow! It is so so delicious with fresh strawberry and banana , it is not very sweet just right for breakfast. Latte is good .
There is only 3 seats inside , it would be better if the shop can put couple more chairs / bench for customers to sit down in a cold day. Anyway, I highly recommended this coffee shop especially if you are a crepe lover.😊“

“We came for the sandwiches only to find out they don’t have the same menu anymore.
It’s still good and the staff is super friendly and helpful, but the sandwich selection was super limited. Only 1 breakfast option and no more fried chicken, merguez, pork belly or any of the fun menu options. So bummed to learn about this menu change.“

“Those in the know won't worry to much about 5 leaves not being rated a 4.5 or higher, why you ask? Because it really doesn't matter when the ricotta pancakes are THAT FREAKING GOOD! Seriously every 3rd person orders those pancakes. They also have a great Mocha and black kale salad. If you're not in the mood for sweet fair try the moroccan scramble which is perfect for something light but filling. I got the BLAT on my first visit and it was also good. Now if you're there for dinner been warned the burger is quite filling but it will be worth it even if you gotta waddle home.“
