“@redhooklobster has the best lobster roll in NYC and I recommend it with no hesitation as well as their delicious, marvelous, real, OG Lobster Boil they serve in Rockaway every Thursday Night. I can’t remember when was the last time I had seafood THIS fresh in NYC and by fresh I mean FRESH-FRESH. Muchas gracias Susan and team for the hospitality. As long as the sun shines, I’ll keep coming back! 10/10“

Came for my birthday and two other tables around me are celebrating theirs! Nice food, all fresh and very delicate, but also relatively pricey for its size. Warm service and nice atmosphere.

“Love the space! It's really inviting and our server gave a very thorough explanation of the menu. It's very easy to over order because you want to try everything, but there were hits and misses.

The Barbecue Shrimp were definitely a trip down taste memory lane. I worked at an upper westside restaurant in the 80s called Memphis that rode the Paul Prudhomme craze and it was one of our most popular dishes. These didn't disappoint. The Oysters Rockerfeller were very good too.

All of the seafood was perfectly cooked.

The big salad was way too acidic with nothing to balance the overpowering vinegar of the giardiniera. We got fried oysters on top and they were nice but there was no sauce that went with them which made them a little ho hum.

I wanted to love the shrimp sandwich because it looks absolutely DELISH -- the presentation is spot on!

The fried shrimp were nice and crispy and the milk bread was nice and light. Maybe if I hadn't already found the giardiniera too much on the salad? It's good, but could use some remoulade or another aioli to balance it.

My BF had the gumbo special. He liked it, but I thought it was a bit one note too.

The complimentary bread pudding is a nice touch.“

Their menu is huge and very specific, you can order cherry stones or little necks raw, baked, or steamed. All your favorite crustaceans and bivalves are available, from steamers and oysters to shrimp and lobster. We had the aforementioned raw clams, soft shell crab sandwich, broiled scallops, and fra diavolo. The fra diavolo sauce was to die for and the broiled scallops were big and flavorful. “We arrived at 830pm on a Friday night and were seated within 10 minutes! On the right they have a bar with music and it was jammed packed. People looked like they were having a great time as the DJ was playing awesome music. On the left is the sit down for dinner etc. The service was fast and friendly. The food was good and great portions for the price. The margaritas were $12 each and they don’t skimp on the liquor! Overall dinner for two with drink, appetizers and main course was about $85 which is reasonable in my book! I highly recommend the Cajun shrimp as it was seasoned well and came with potatoes and corn.“

“Googled restaurants in the area and Michaels came highly recommended. Went for Sunday lunch and the place did not disappoint. The food was excellent and plentiful. I had a whole grilled branzino which was cooked to perfection. The servers were efficient and aimed to please. The restaurant felt like you were at a friend's house as I said what I felt like eating and they made it happen. It's an added bonus that there is valet parking. Give Michaels a try, you won't be disappointed.“

“The food served at Tonchin Brooklyn is excellent and I appreciate the attention to detail from the food on the table to the atmosphere of the restaurant.

We got:
•smoked dashi ramen (phenomenally well-crafted broth, tobiko topping was fun, smoked fish oil was such a nice touch), appreciate the detail of nori sheet not submerged in the broth so it won't get soggy)
•+ original dashi salad (holy smokes the dressing and the flavors were really really tasty, I would definitely get this again)
•pizza ramen (was looking forward to trying this the most and it did not disappoint, savory notes, crispy guanciale was a nice touch)

Service was pleasant - they were attentive to refilling our water glasses. I was the first customer to use one of the restroom stalls and they even folded the toilet paper roll.

We booked a 5 pm reservation Tuesday morning to try out their happy hour before heading to a game at Barclays Center. Our server, Jen, was very personable & answered all our questions surrounding the menu. The oxtail fettuccine had mixed online reviews however, Jen shared it was her favorite so we decided to try it & we loved it. The sauce on the Branzino was phenomenal & it was our 2nd favorite dish of the night, after the Fried Rockefeller.“

“We started with the Calamari which was very good. I like the tentacles and there were plenty of them, however, my GF is not as much into them. She had the prime rib which she found delightful. I tasted it and approve it. I had the Chilean Sea bass which came on a bed of potato puree, with broccolini and truffles in it. This was an amazing dish. There was also a grouper that looked good and some interesting items. We did not make it to dessert had two rounds of wine.. This is our second time there. First time we had the prix fixe menu which is more cost-effective but limits what you can order. This was indeed pricy but the food was excellent.“

I still order my fish and chicken. I asked for blue cheese. He told me it was in the bag he gave me ranch.
