“Stopped in here when I was real hungry and driving back from the Baseball Hall of Fame... food was great... I'd be back if I didn't live on opposite sides of Dutchess County.. if I walked more then 100 ft I'd be in Putnam/Fairfield County..

But my curiosity got best of me.... this plaza looked familiar.. Then I saw Fanns on side of building . I remember my friend got his first couch from Fanns Furniture back in 1990. Funny thing couch never made it to his new apartment he moved into... he had it in back of his pickup.. and on way back to Croton. We got stuck in a tremendous thunderstorm.. cover blew off the couch.. and by the time we got to his apartment his couch was ruined... Fanns refused to take it back.... so we just thru the couch in the Dumpster at his apartment..

“We used to love this place. Until me and my wife are sitting at a table eating our pizza when a worker decides to clean the rugs an hour before closing. He shook the rug in the air next to our table got dirt and dust all over us and our food never going back.“

We have enjoyed Graziano's culinary artistry for 30 years now, (since the days of Mary Ps), and he just keeps getting better. My wife had the shortribs, and I had the sushi grade tuna with mushrooms and we enjoyed every bite. The service and atmosphere are the best. “Great food service. I have never found a place that makes a better margarita. Most places make what I call “girly” margaritas. A true margarita is like a martini or manhattan. With the liquor the # 1 ingredient. Santa Fe makes a true margarita. The food is also very fresh and made to offer. Never found a place that makes better tacos.“

“Top shelf!!! We had a group of 17 for lunch. Everyone raved about the excellent food and the wonderful and friendly service. Our menu included London Broil, Salmon, Ceasars Salad with Chicken and Vegetable Quiche with side salad. We had a variety of servings. Everything was sooooo good! Best restaurant in Kingston. We couldn't have chosen a better place.“

“I used to look forward to eating there. But the last two times I had the worst servers. One never came back to check after she dropped off my food. I had wanted a soda refill and another napkin, had to find her to get my check. Last night I came in and was told the kitchen was about to close so I needed to hurry up (I just sat down at about 9:25 pm). I ordered right away. An ice water and a coke and a meatball parm sub. I was lucky to get my soda with her attitude. No ice water was brought or acknowledged at all. I took a few bites of my food and she asked if I wanted a box. I was really irritated. If they told me to go only I would have been fine. But the way I was handled made me angry. I ate quickly and left. If I choose to get something again , it will be to go. Honestly, Caitlyn is the best server there. She is five stars. The others are not worth a dime.“

“Nice spot! The atmosphere is super welcoming, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I don’t drink alcohol but hubby thought their craft beers are top-notch, with Hurricane Kitty and Mother's Milk being my favorites. They also have live music events that make the place even more fun. It has the same welcoming atmosphere as its previous location, but this is so much better! Food and service are great, and they have been very busy since opening a few weeks ago. “First thing I noticed was the beautiful engraved door. Very friendly atmosphere. We were offered drinks while waiting to be seated for dinner. I had a coconut margarita which was amazing! I normally don’t drink margaritas. The guacamole was so fresh! Delicious! My husband and daughter loved the calamari! My husband got the Casa Villa Seafood, he was in heaven! The portions were large we left with two bags of food. The staff from start to finish were really impeccable! 10 out of 10. We will be returning!“

“Prying yourself off of the main strip in New Paltz, The Parish restaurant shows that the back streets have something to offer as well.
To the left side of Main Street as you're heading out of town, right before you get to the old bridge, you'll see a little area that's called The Water Street Market. Making your way past all the various shops along the way, you will find The Parish upstairs overlooking the area. There is also a small parking lot for The Water Street Market in the very back. If you take the side roads and you're lucky, you may be able to find a parking spot there.
We started our lunch with The Hush Puppies and Gator Bites. The Hush Puppies were golden brown, crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The Honey butter was a nice compliment, adding that smooth creaminess and making them a warm delicious treat. The Gator Bites had a crisp outside batter with a little flavor kick from some Cajun spices. The remoulade dipping sauce was a nice pairing for the bites with that texture and flavor that only Gator has.
For our main dishes we had the Jambalaya and the Parish Burger with the side salad. The Jambalaya had a little spicy warmth to bring to the mix with the chicken and Andouille Sausage doing their part for flavor. The Parish Burger with the poblano peppers, onions, and cheese was superb. The aioli really helped to bring forward and meld all the flavors together including the juices of the perfectly cooked hamburger. Each bite added to the enjoyment. The salad having been tossed in a vinaigrette rested on the same plate making a pleasant addition.
For dessert we had the Blueberry Cheesecake. It was moderate in density with just the right amount of blueberry on it. The whipped cream with the fresh blueberries and drizzle of caramel was a nice touch of added freshness.
To surmise, The Parish with its Cajun vibe is a cozy little nook away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip.
I would also like to add The Parish has a full bar, and the servers were very pleasant doing their jobs to a T.“
