“Founders Café is a Rochester treasure. AMAZING food - everything on the menu is great, even if I tend to get the same thing most visits because I love their salads so much. But everything else - quiche, sandwiches, baked goods - are all phenomenal. Very friendly service and we're definitely always made to feel at home. Love it here.“

It's very cute and eclectic inside. You'll feel like your in a little coffee shop in NYC! Staff are nice and fellow patrons are super friendly. “Everything at Jenny's Bakery is delicious. There is such a variety to choose from, that I often end up getting a bunch of different things to try. The cookies, chocolate bread, and melon bread are all delicious, as are the breakfast sandwiches. And Jenny's makes the BEST chai lattes. Love it here.“

“The food and coffee were ok but the (Humpty dumpy eggs were rubbery).The atmosphere definitely invites a very relaxing home-like feel with a fireplace and couches to lounge on.You feel as if you can just kick off your shoes, put your (very clean, no shoes) feet up on the couch and relax while the kids play, you drink your coffee and visit with friends.So at first it was actually kinda nice, "so I thought"Unfortunately, the one lady went around annoyingly sweeping and telling people they close at 3 and that I was not to make myself too comfortable and to let her know when I was done with the pillow I was using, so that she could spray it with Lysol ?.....Then, after all our guests were abruptly asked to leave (cause they were closing early), she made sure to literally drown the couches in a fog of Lysol, not even waiting until we were all outside, so that we didn't have to breathe in the toxic fumes (to apparently get rid of any cooties) haha.It literally made me and the kids gag and choke ugh!! ?Honestly, if the couches were even remotely clean, I may have seen her point, but they were utterly filthy! And I'm the one who now feels the need to take a shower after having sat on those dirty couches ?Btw, the couches have couch covers on them and so they can easily be taken off and cleaned in a washing machine "if they were that concerned about germs", but they look as if they haven't been cleaned in years!!Ps, I moved back here from Tennessee just a few months ago and I can definitely feel the difference in the way people act and treat other's.There is a sorta negative attitude here and though I noticed it a bit before I moved, I noticed it more than ever, now that I'm back from living down south..."Deff not in Kansas anymore" ?“

“My husband and I happened upon a small bag of Jamaican Me Happy at a winery during a visit to NY- it was love at first cup…first sniff, really haha. Since then, I’ve had to get my fix by ordering online. TWICE now, these lovely humans have upsized items in our online order, and thrown in amazing bonuses as well!! Few things in this world are better than large quantities of high quality, delicious coffee!! It’s worth the out of state shipping cost when we receive our “happy mail”.Thanks Evening Star! “Cool place that brings out all the 90s cartoon and video game feels. They were short staffed when we visited but they were very kind and polite and made sure to communicate with all customers.Had their breakfast burrito- it was really good and a lot of food! However, would not recommend their latte- it tasted very watery and artificial.“

The food is spectacular, the atmosphere is nostalgic and the service is unapologetically like being at an old friend's house (in friendly familiarity only ... they don't tell you to go get your own refills or anything LOL). “Always drove by this place as we live just off Buffalo road but never stopped. Two weeks ago my wife gave birth to our first child and our doctor is also off Buffalo road. On the way home from appointments we wanted something new so stopped. Today was our third time stopping after appointments.Wish we would have stopped sooner as its everything that I would want in a small local coffee shop. Great atmosphere, amazing service and good food. Every time we have a stopped a young man has made our drinks and knocked it out of the park every time.Today got the Bayou Bomber and the Mint Chocolate Frappe (I asked for this from one of the reviews on here), wife got bacon breakfast sandwich with fruit refresher. Highly recommend the hot chocolate, the Bayou Bomber and Mint Chocolate Frappe. Drive by Dunkin & Tim Horton's and stop here if you want some good food and drinks that will give you a pick up but no Jitters lol.“

“They were so happy to speak with us about every little question we had. If you need a cup of coffee but want it done right then you should get it here. Stock up on fresh beans or just come for the great service, there isn't a bad option!“

“It's a diner with diner food. Friendly, clean, fast. The food was what we expected. I only had home fries with sourdough toast. My husband had raisin bread French toast. Both were, as I said before, typical diner breakfasts. Our 13 year old got an American omelet, with ham, and it was also a typical breakfast. The portion was big for her. I have nothing negative to say.“

“Nice spot downtown to have a small ish easy to eat breakfast or lunch with huge windows letting in a ton of light. It's connected by a skybridge to Innovation Square which I'd imagine is nice for residents. You order at the counter but they bring the food out to you at your table. I got the apple grilled cheese sandwich which was good but on the small side. There's a lot on street metered parking nearby and a garage underground.“

I did the Dragon Drink with half the mango dragon base and the other half with pineapple passion base. And then substituted it with Oat Milk. Omg so freaking good. This place never fails.“

I used to work in the mall and always came here with my sister on our lunch break, and every time we came, the food was always SO GOOD! Not kidding, this place is really a QUALITY food location and all for a great cause. It isn’t fast food and I encourage everyone who lives in the area to please visit and support this location!If you don’t know what to get, I recommend trying their chicken salad panini (it may have nuts in it) and their chicken pot pie soup!
