“A welcoming experience if you are visiting the area. There was a bit of a wait (30min for 2) at 8pm, but I would say it is worth it. The atmosphere is just so homey and, well, tavern-y! The staff were very sweet to talk to while waiting outside, and we were served pretty quick as well.

I will say that $20+ for one burger is a bit absurd, but that’s how they get you with the tourist prices. The Smokehouse was perfect however, and I’m still craving the wild-boar disco fries. Come wait here instead of Horsefeathers!“

“The food at Home frite White plains it's delicious. It's not just another burger joint. They have amazing combinations of chicken sandwich and hot dog options. My favorite is their Chilli dogs called the dirt dogs. Absolutely delicious. Nashville hot chicken and their BBQ chicken is my next favorite and offcourse their burgers are always on point. Buttery, fresh ground beef and offcourse toasted brioche buns. My coworkers favorite lunch spot Home frite White plains!!“

“We came for a saturday brunch and it was nothing short of excellent. The manager greeted us and we had some drinks at the bar. The bartender gave us some great recommendations for the menu and the owner even came over to us and introduced himself which was very nice. We got the meatballs, rockshrimp and calamari, lobster guacamole, and burrata which were all incredible and great shareables for us. 5/5 and will definitely be back.“

Twice, recently, I dined at I'l Fresco with friends and family members; The words they used to describe Il Fresco were: -Fabulous - dinner was scrumptious -Phenomenal restaurant and staff -Tastiest sauce in the world - delicious hot bread out of the oven. -An Exceptional dining experience. -Amazing homemade tiramisu - wonderful desserts -Best meal ever - better than the meals I had while visiting Sorrento, Italy. From my cousin who went back to Belfast, Northern Ireland: I am keen to get back to visit again and hopefully we can visit the fantastic restaurant again, can't remember the name otherwise it would be getting a 5 star from me. “I first visited this restaurant when they opened in 2016. A decade later, I happened to be visiting the area and stopped off here for lunch with my boyfriend. I can honestly say this place hasn't lost their touch.
The restaurant is dark and cozy with a fireplace in the back, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or nice lunch. The servers are all well-versed in the menu items and oyster selection. The restaurant usually has some great specials that are always worth trying out.
This visit was somewhat brief so we only got mains. The special of the day was swordfish. They offer the option to choose your prep style so we each got the swordfish; I tried the lemon butter sauce and my boyfriend got the red pepper sauce. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. We also shared a side of the grilled asparagus which was perfectly cooked.
A solid 10/10. Highly recommended for any foodies as this place also has some fantastic non-seafood options.“

“Slid in right before closing — not exactly the ideal way to walk into a wine bar. But the bartender welcomed us like we'd been regulars for years. That kind of warmth at the end of a long shift says a lot about a place.
The wine was excellent. Exactly what you want from a spot like this — well-curated, well-poured, no complaints.
Didn't get to try the food this time but it's already on the list for next visit. If the kitchen matches the hospitality, this place is going to be a regular stop.
