“Japanese curry is one of my favorite foods and I feel like it’s hard to get it just right - but A-un does! Their curry is the perfect thickness and spice level, and they give you plenty so you are’t left with more rice than curry. “I live in Forest Hills and I’ve been to this place a few times in the last few months with some friends and let me tell you their beer doesn’t taste any better then a cheap beer or ale from the 99 cent store. I really don’t like to write bad reviews to businesses especially with the pandemic and how bars/ restaurants are struggling to make ends meet today, but I really have had it with this so called owner that was beyond rude to me after I stopped by and used the restroom. I have come as a customer a few times and really needed to make an emergency restroom stop. Since I had patronized his establishment before, I didn’t think it would be a big deal to quickly use the restroom. When I got out of the restroom the owner was very rude and nasty to me, telling me to never come back to his bar. I asked him why and he said because I wasn’t spending money and that my type shouldn’t be allowed to come to his place. I was appalled at his behavior and attitude and told him I will gladly not ever return.“

Was in there neighbourhood with my mom for an event that was canceled, so we went for a drink at this place to kill time before our dinner reservation. Bartender was very warm and inviting and the house red and white wines were very enjoyable. We also got a pretzel that was super satisfying. A great local neighbourhood bar that I'd be a frequent patron of if I lived in the area.“

“Great beer, knowledgeable and kind bartenders, the big backyard is a great place to relax on a hot day. They use air purifiers inside - a big thank you from everyone who still takes COVID seriously, this is one of the only indoor bars I’ll go to in the winter.“

Great beer, great atmosphere, warm, and my water always gets refilled quickly! 🥳 Cory is a very caring and attentive owner and it’s a pleasure to see him on the days he’s at this location. He makes everyone feel welcome and hires staff who do the same. Note for parents: leave your kids at home. Some bars are great for hosting all kinds of events, children, dogs, etc. This bar is great for adults who like beer 🍻“

“We were impressed with the food and service here. This is one of those places we'd walked by a hundred times and always said "we should check that place out one of these days". We finally did and liked it a lot. Nice bar and restaurant with a good menu with plenty of options, some with a Cajun flare.
We ordered the Q18 Burger (half ground beef half ground bacon), the Shrimp Poboy, the Mexican style corn on the cob and half a dozen chicken wings with mild buffalo sauce (they make all of there own sauces so we thought we'd play it safe on the first run). Everything was really good and we were very impressed with the wings. My wife mentioned that this is her new "wing place" so that's that. The burger was good and the poboy could have used a couple more shrimp, but was otherwise good too. The fries, both regular and sweet potato, were crispy and very hot. The wings were crispy under the sauce and I would call their spice level normal so the mild definitely had some heat but didn't get my head sweating.
Pretty lively bottled and draft beer list as well as some wine and cocktails which we didn't explore this visit. Several flat screens with various games on for the sports fans and the place was quiet enough to have a conversation without raising your voice much. The bathroom was clean and nice enough.
Our waitress Caitlin (sp?) was super friendly and fun and we didn't have any problems with our food or anything else. Very nice friendly local vibe here and we'll certainly be back to try more of the menu.

“So my Lenten sacrifice included all things that look good, taste good & make me feel good. So last night after an intense interpersonal interaction earlier in the day I headed to Yatenga. I was greeted by the lovely Todd the bar man (one of the things that look good)who greeted warmly and took my order. He returned with my preferred cocktail-The Lou Lou! The fact that he remembered made me feel like a Prince (only a Prince as he’s a King). I started my meal with the Cauliflower soup which was well flavored and simply delicious. It was so good it was enough to turn a carnivore into a vegetarian! Then I had the Chicken Francaise which was prepared to perfection. The accompanying sauce was smooth and also highly flavored. The chicken breast’s were tender & the texture was as if the chicken had just been sacrificed moments before. The vegetables of haricot verts and carrots were perfectly al dente. And my dessert of Tart Tartin could not have been better; nice flaky crust and perfectly sweetened! In the past 13 years I have not patronized another restaurant in Harlem in particular and NYC in general. Why? Because I don’t have the confidence that I will be as well treated and cared for and well-fed as I am at Yatenga. The fact that Todd the barman does double duty as a server and does it affably is one major reason I keep going back. The management must be superior-why else would the staff be so equally superior. I travel a lot for work & thusly try to avoid restaurants in other towns and villages because I know they’re not Yatenga.“

On the one hand, because they frequently change offerings, some may find that the brewery is highly experimental in character, though if you’re serious about beer this is the soul of what I feel a brewery is meant to be; ever expanding, ever experimenting, bold with what’s on offer. True story: My partner who is generally against beer tried one of their aged bottles and was converted. Confused the beer for a sparkling rosé! This deserves some applause. Also deserves praise for the bands on display on Fridays and the weekend, great to see in our neighborhood. A very welcome presence in Sunnyside! Keep it up folks.“

“Always a pleasure coming to Rove! Tonite was an exceptional experience. I wish i got the bartenders name. Wednesday 4/24/24 between 7-9pm. Nice nails and curly hair. She was funny pleasant and took care of us. Long story short, after great apps and drinks, paid the bill and left…I dropped a $50 out of my pocket after I paid and left and was only 2 store fronts down and she came after me telling me you dropped a bill and gave it back. You don’t see this honestly often anymore. Kudos to her and Rove deserves her as an employee.“

“I visited Forest Hills Station after a delightful first-date lunch, and it immediately made a lasting impression. From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm and welcoming. We chose to sit at the bar, where Drew crafted the most incredible mango margaritas. His friendly conversation and positive energy made the experience even better.

On a return visit a few days ago, Drew had already left for the day, but the service and staff were just as fantastic. Now, this spot has become a cherished part of our dating story. We can’t wait to return for more great moments!“

“If you’re craving Chinese food, it hits the spot. I don’t think anything was standout but the portions are big because it’s family style. The dan dan noodles could have more meat in comparison to the amount of noodles it had. Some of the other dishes felt doused in a bit too much sauce. What was nice is you can ask to adjust the spice level for the food. Price seems about right and food came out really fast.

“Surprised to see there aren't any reviews on here. This place opened this past year. I've been walking by it every night and have always wanted to stop in. I'm pissed I didn't sooner. The Italian food here was so delicious. Had the Rigatoni with Vodka and Fried chicken. Pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce had perfect flavor and the chicken was cut thin and crispy.

Atmosphere was really awesome, they really made this look much more presentable than when Beach House was here. Nice floral stuff on the ceiling. Comfortable, cool pizza oven in the back.
