“Greatest little Italian restaurant on Hylan Blvd. Food- Fantastic, Service- Superb, Ambiance-Amazing...their pre-fixed menus are the best and the prices are absolutely wonderful. I just had my 2nd party there and Robert took care of the set-up over the phone while Chris and his people handled the rest on Sunday March 10th. What was supposed to be a small family dinner for the 4 of us for our daughter's 6th birthday, turned into a small party of 17...they even got us her cake which was delicious, super fresh & super cute. I highly recommend Giuliana's not only for a party but even a night out for dinner with the family if you're not in the mood to cook & clean up afterwards. Our 1st dinner party was August 1st after our wedding at city hall on Richmond Terrace, that was during the week and for 12 people. The price did not match the outstanding service and brilliant mouth watering taste of the food, we could not stop talking about & praising Giuliana's for days afterwards & could not wait to have another gathering there which we did to celebrate our daughters birthday. Ask for Robert...tell him the Calvano's (Michael & Stephen) sent you“
“The other night we went to Sapori for dinner. We walked in and were greeted warmly. The staff here is super friendly and very accommodating. They seated us at our table by a window. The restaurant has a warm, romantic vibe with beautiful art work. We were given menus which is extensive and you have a lot to choose from plus they also had specials. They bring out bread, eggplant caponata and butter. I thought it was really good and different than just the traditional bread and butter option. We decided to go with fried calamari for an app. It was perfect.. Very crunchy, fresh.. lightly seasoned! Served with fresh tomato sauce. A rather large portion to share. Next for dinner I had a special- pistachio encrusted Chilean sea bass with citrus glaze and roasted veggies and potatoes. This was such a delightful dish. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The pistachios were so good on top of the fish and the glaze balanced the dish. The veggies were crunchy and seasoned perfectly with garlic and butter. I really enjoyed this dish. The linguine with white clam sauce. Was fresh and extremely delicious. This dish was packed with clams and a ton of roasted garlic. I must say the pasta dishes are very large. Lastly spaghetti with marinara the sauce was fresh and we really enjoyed it. the spaghetti was more thicker like a bucatini. And unfortunately it was a tad under done. It needed a minute or two in the water to be perfectly al dente. Other than that this was a perfect dinner. For dessert we ordered the chocolate lava cake and tiramisu. It seemed like it was home made. Lava cake tasted amazing it was accompanied by vanilla ice cream. the tiramisu was light and not too sweet. Cappuccino was perfect not bitter or overly milky. By far I really enjoyed Sapori and I would def recommend coming here for dinner. The ambience, staff and food were extremely enjoyable! Parking in street. Small parking lot.“
“I had been trying to get there for years. It was even better than I had imagined it would be. Food is beyond amazing. Skip an earlier meal so you have plenty of room as the portions are huge. And the atmosphere only adds to the experience. Friendly owners and staff.“
“Don't sleep on visiting Fava. The food here is amazing! We had a trio of spreads and the lamb empanadas and both were incredible. But the best part of our lunch were the cocktails. The Fava margarita is a delightful play on a Caribbean margarita and the spritzes were fabulous. The cucumber one is like springtime in a glass! I'd drive up from Philly just to eat here!“
“This restaurant is the one I find most interesting I say this because I work valet for this restaurant and I swear I’m not only saying it just because I work for them but the respect and the staff are so nice and welcoming and there food omg there is nothing like it don’t walk run to this restaurant me and my family ate here and we wanted to stay for more my recommendation is the chicken Parmesan absolutely beautiful nobody does it better than don cheech ❤️❤️❤️“
“Tonight was our first time here and we were delighted with the food and service. Everything was delicious and the waiters were very attentive. We also enjoyed the live music! My only suggestion might be to lower the lighting a bit. We will definitely be back!“
“The Food was delicious! 5 stars! My brother Marc kept sending me videos on instagram & I had to try it for my self even though he never did. I was blown away the videos don’t do it justice, you have to stop making excuses & just go try it! Statt BBuono!“
“Absolutely amazing experience. Waiter was extremely friendly and attentive, food came out quick and looked beautiful. I came for the shakshusa because I saw it was very well rated and it definitely did not disappoint! Would definitely come again.“
“I loveeeee this place. They're margaritas will KILL you! In a good way of course. The pizzas are INCREDIBLE!!! Super super delicious! Our favorites are the large tray! We get half Aunt Honey - Seppe's red pie topped with chili flakes, hot soppressata and hot honey & the other half Pep In Your Step - Seppe's red pie with fresh jalapeno's, cupping pepperoni and hot honey.“
“Just had Ungaro's tonight for the 3rd time with my kids and it was just as great as ever. Kids are tough critics for pizza, but they loved it. They just have to work on the pronunciation of the name. I love driving back into the neighborhood I grew up in to support local family businesses as my family was in I know all to well how challenging it can be especially with regards to location. This place never disappoints. It's comfortable and quaint, always well lit with some classic Italian tunes on and the food knocks it out of the park. We enjoyed a classic cheese pie and mozzarella sticks, a must for my kids, and I got for the third time this fig and cheese app on crostini bread with a honey and glaze drizzle. Ming ! My only complaint is a kitchen staff member was taking a break while I was eating with my family and total disregard blasting some telemundo crap from two tables away at full volume. I was about more than halfway done but it totally messed up the vibe. Dinner with the kids, drizzling outside, they had a long day were talking about the neighborhood and Boom just a total left field hit of some random telemundo or something. And he had the phone propped up on a bottle of iced tea so I said to myself " well this experience has just ended ". I asked the waitress who was lovely if that man worked there she said yes so I asked her to take care of it and she did. If it was a regular patron I would have been polite and asked them to cut it. Now listen, I get it. The guy is taking a break and it's a small place. I just hate when workers do things they wouldn't do if the owners were there. The guy even turned the phone back on but lower about 15 minutes later, I could hear it dude !! That's rude! Bring some headphones to work. Business is hard enough without ownership having to worry about a rogue dishwasher not giving a rats ass about their business and what they are trying to build. Anyone ever experiencing this, say something right away. Can't wait to be back in the neighborhood and try some new things.“
“Deninos has great pizza and is usually nice and well done. I will admit I used to love their calamari - it was nice and crispy. But over the years the have changed the recipe, now it is chewy and kinda gross. I hate to throw shade on this pizzeria because I have been going there since I was a kid but I want to leave an honest review. And I wish they would update their glasses instead. They are so small and you got to suck with these tiny red straws. I'll admit I am not a fan of that (but it is tradition). I love their pizza but I will say it used to be better than it is currently. The last time I went here was 2 years ago. It was for a family birthday party. Most of my family was surprised with how much the recipes changed. However we mostly order pizza and calamari. So I can't say how the other menu options are. All in all I will continue to go here just not as frequently as I used to. Because it is far from my home and it just isn't what it used to be.“
“Recommended to us, which we are glad for - as we would have never walked in on our own. Visited for a late lunch. The entire menu is dynamic and unique. The portion sizes are small by NY standards but were how we really should eat - reminiscent of how it is in Italy. The 17yr old waitress we had was extremely professional, attentive & overall very pleasant. The thing I would comment on is the ambiance (think ice cream shop (way too bright) lighting and diner type furnishings) does not match the high quality of their food.We had one glass of wine, a soda, beef carpaccio appetizer, truffle gnocchi & osso bucco, one dessert & a cup of tea. $160 after tip.Would return to try other entrees for the delicious food & great service. Just not as a romantic dinner or celebration, solely because of the lighting & decor.“
“We had a group of 10 and service was great. We felt like we were personally attended by very polite and friendly waiters and waitresses. Food 2as authentic and scrumscious. Dessert was homemade and unique.Parking: On a Friday night there was parking witjin a block.“
“First time trying Anthony’s. I must say amazing experience all around. The girl at the front register was so nice, the sandwich making guy in the back(who I thought was Anthony himself but I didn’t know) good personality. The inside looks spotless, great decor, and felt very cool inside.I got one of Thursday specials which is the Porchetta with the crispy skin! It comes with broccoli rabe and fresh smoked mozzarella. I must say this might be the best pork sandwich I’ve ever eaten.Great crunch to the skin, very flavorful, the broccoli rabe is a great complement and the mozz is also a great addition. Best sandwich on Staten Island. We also tried the rice ball with and without meat, and the potato croquettes. Might be best on the island. So fresh!!I can’t wait to go back to try the others(except Thursday because Thursdays you know what I’m getting!!!)Anthony you out did yourself!!My score10 out of 10“
“I ordered stuffed pepperoni garlic knots w/ vodka sauce and a grilled chicken Cesar salad wrap, did not disappoint!!! Food was great and delivered rather quickly. The few times I called for take out, they are always so nice over the phone, as well as the delivery drivers. Thank you Italian Touch for good dinners :)“
“We had a large family holiday party, 25 persons, and everyone enjoyed the great food, very attentive service, and pleasant ambiance and comfortable party room here. Valet parking was tip-top and quick plus there is plenty of on-street parking around the corner. We'll definitely be booking for next year's party here again.“
“Every visit of mine is a delightful journey into the heart of Italian culinary excellence.Chef Massimo's creativity shines through in every dish, offering a fresh take on traditional Italian favorites that never fail to impress. The Ragu is a standout, and if you're lucky enough to snag a portion of the lasagna, consider yourself blessed! You won't be disappointed, layered perfection! From the perfectly grilled octopus to the array of fine cheeses, meatballs, and the fresh beet salad, every bite showcases it's quality ingredients.Don't sleep on the rabbit and while the cocktails never disappoint, the wine list is fantastic... Ask to pair your meal accordingly, you'll thank me later!Vinum never disappoints. It's a culinary treasure that continues to exceed expectations.“
“What a gem! Passed this place so many times and finally went in. Husband and I shared a drink, a half order of fettuccini Alfredo and an order of veal parm with potato and veggies. Everything was absolutely delicious! The quality of the pasta was incredible; the red sauce on the veal was different- more sweet and herbaceous than I'm used to. But the more sauce we ate, the more we loved it. The restaurant is pretty and spotless clean and the chairs are so comfortable. Service was totally on point. Prices are fair. Can't wait to go back.“
“Clean environment and the food is delish. Tony is the best. Not only does he serve a friendy atmosphere, but he cooks with his heart.Love the "Metro Special Pizza" however"Eggplant Rollatini on a Hero is my favorite. It's a definite must try!!!Thanks Tony for having such a tasty menu and getting me out of the kitchen.“
“My boyfriend and I have been going to verdes for about 6 months now and they do not disappoint! Their food is delicious, they strive to perfect their recipes and it shows! We just enjoyed their Christmas catering due to our situation not allowing me to cook my usual set up; and oh my was it worth it! The staff are great people as well. Highly recommend this place!“
“We enjoyed our dinner last night at Bocelli and we would haven't given a 5 but we were unhappy with the table we were given. Our table was next to the reception desk just at the entrance where it was very cold and other diners had kept walking past our table to get to their table that was behind us. They had a musician singing some very lovely Italian songs that was very. Other than the placement of our table our dinner was great!“
“This was another first for us but after reading the reviews we decided to try it. We went around 6:00 so we were seated right away. Service was fast. My son wanted a burger my husband ordered the steak sandwich and french onion soup and I ordered the shrimp scampi. The only thing I was a little disappointed was that the shrimp scampi came with nothing you had to pay to put rice and broccoli as sides so that made it a little pricey about $40. We didn't wait long for the food and the food was delicious none of us had any complaints very tasty nice size portions. Once we received our food the restaurant became a little bit more crowded and then nobody ever came over again to ask us if we needed anything or even wanted dessert. So we just asked for the check. In total for two drinks, a Shirley Temple a soup and three entrees the check was about $100 which we thought was very reasonable. The food was delicious and again the service was good up until the end when they got a little busier but other than that I think we would definitely go back. We parked on the street. The parking lot isn't that big but I think you can find plenty of parking in the neighborhood.“
“The ambiance of the restaurant was classy, cozy and casual. The staff was welcoming and extremely attentive to the needs of our table, e.g. replenishment of the bread basket, water glasses etc. guest requests. We enjoyed a cooking demonstration prepared by Franco, the owner/chef. His step by step explanations of the recipes for our salad and pasta dish were not only entertaining but truly delicious! There was an abundance of choices for entrees. Everyone at my table enjoyed their dinner. This dining experience was fun and delicious. I will definitely be returning with friends to try other menu choices.“
“Hands down the best deli on the island and it's not even close. The kind of place where they learn your name and treat you like you are their best customer. Have never once been disappointed with the food or the service it is always top notch. You literally cant go wrong here.“
“Jimmy Max has always been a Staten Island staple to me, but I recently hosted a first party for my daughter there and can now double down on that sentiment. :-) Erin was so wonderful to work with leading up to the party. She was quick to respond via email, answered all of my questions, and sat with us in person to sort out final details. The day of the event, Erin and the rest of the staff worked so hard to make sure that everyone was happy throughout the day. It’s the first party I’ve hosted where I felt relaxed from start to finish - and that’s all thanks to the staff at Jimmy Max. The food was delicious and plentiful! The space was beautiful! And the staff was an a+ team! Highly recommend for a party of any kind!“
“Came in for a late dinner. There was only one table being served at the time. Water and a basket of warm bread with a bowl of tomato tapas came soon after we sat. I ordered the love martini and my partner ordered some kind of chocolate coffee martini (idr the name). Mine was cute, light, sweet flavor. His was creamy and big coffee flavor. The waitress told us all the specials of the day by memory without breaking a sweat. I asked if they had any gluten free pasta because it's not on the menu. They had penne so I ordered the Bolognese. He ordered the chicken noodle soup special, meatball Parm appetizer, and the margherita pie. The meatball Parm and soup came out first. The meatball Parm comes with three meatballs. I wasn't a huge fan but he liked it. The soup came in a big bowl. The noodles were short thin and straight. There were pieces of potatoes, chicken, and spinach in it. He really enjoyed it. My gluten free penne Bolognese came in the same big bowl as the soup. I could only eat half. Sometimes restaurants over cook gluten free pasta but they didnt. I enjoyed the meat sauce. The margherita pie is good enough one but Max two. It was a thin crust pizza. He liked it. They have a small list of desserts but we couldn't fit anymore food. The waitress checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. My few complaints is there's no parking lot and street parking fills up fast. The restaurant was cold. The appetizers are the same amount as entrees.“
“I'm not sure if there's another place on the island that you can go to for a great date night like this place. Great food, service and drinks in a 200 person tent with comfortable tables and chairs and full stage for a live band. Great venue for a night out.“
“We went for my birthday and what a gift it was. The service by Lea was amazing, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The owner kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. And the food, oh the food was outstanding. Their strip steak was absolutely delicious melted in your mouth perfectly cooked and prepared. If you haven’t tried it there yet I absolutely recommend you do.Parking: I found a spot right outside and so did the other 2 cars that came with us. I went on a Wednesday night don’t know if that matters, there’s still plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: They were so patient and kind with my 3 grandchildren.“
“For a fun excursion from the city, take the ferry and the SIR to the Old Town station. It's then just a five minute walk to this lovely restaurant. Modern and elegant decor, excellant Italian menu, fine wines and delicious deserts, all served with style and professionalism. Save a trip to Italy and go to Staten Island instead!“
“Awesome place to host a party or event food was great people were great and very nice and hard working too bad u can only give 5 stars. They made us fell like we were the only ones in the whole place. Thanks again guys for my babies 16bday u guys made it “
“Last week had a great late lunch here. I had the pulled pork and my friend had the lunch special open sandwich. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent The waitress was so nice It is really nice and cozy. I love what they did in there. Can't wait to go back again“
“Everything about Basilio Inn deserves a top rating. The charm of the restaurant and outside space feels like a little villa in Italy. The service is excellent they are so accommodating and on top of everything and last but not least the food which is just amazing. Love that they are still around.“
“First time dinning at Piccolino’s and it was a pleasant experience!Serving staff was knowledgeable of the menu, attentive of our needs. Our water glasses were never empty. Our cocktail were excellent! The wine was a good size pour! All of our cocktails, appetizers, main course, coffee and dessert were all packed with great flavors! My pork chop was HUGE accompanied by seasonal vegetables and potatoes.Judging from the empty plates of my fellow guest theirs were delicious too.And as an added bonus they had a cruder singing in the style of Frank Sinatra supper club! He was a bit too loud but had a great voice and played all the classics!First timer but won’t be the last! They get a well deserved 5 ***** Star review!“
“Celebrated a few special occasions here and each time was nothing less than AWESOME! Great atmosphere and they treat each guest like family.Food and drinks are great. Service is excellent and the entertainment is engaging and lots of fun. Great singing!Definitely a great spot for a special celebration or just a great night out!“
“My wife and I visited this cute little Italian restaurant recently to celebrate our first anniversary. When we got there, we were greeted by the owner who acted as our server as well as the cook. We started off with the meatballs as a starter. They were made old school, like my great grandmother would make it with pine nuts and raisins. They were delicious and the sauce was fantastic. My wife had the surf and turf and I had the rib eye special. Both were cooked a perfect medium-rare. The owner (who’s name I unfortunately have forgotten), heard us raving about the meatballs and brought us out a complimentary bowl of freshly made pappardelle pasta with red sauce and more meatballs. Needless to say, we were beyond stuffed. When he heard that it was our anniversary, he then proceeded to insist we stay for a surprise dessert on the house. This was an offer we couldn’t refuse! A few minutes later he dropped a warm funnel cake in front of us, topped with strawberries, vanilla ice cream, salted caramel and whipped cream. It was fantastic! I really can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for a great meal at a great price, this is the place for you!“
“FOOD was the BEST. Excellent kitchen, good menu with a lot of options.SERVICE is GOOD all in all, but a few times, we had to look for our waiter and wait to be taken care of. They were overwhelmed with the number of guests due to what looks like being short (Saturday night). The only COMPLAINT I have is that MUSIC was too LOUD, we couldn't talk, had to scream, and in the end, everyone lost their voices. DJ had a good selection of dance music, but there was NO PLACE TO DANCE. There was hardly any place to walk. DJ didn't give any breaks, just banged all night long, and with no option for dancing, it was unnecessary. Please, have your DJ make short intermission or run music at the lower volume periodically so ppl can talk.“
“I'm 2 years late with this review, but hey better late than never! Fig & Vine is my favorite brunch spot on Staten Island, hands down. A cute, cozy little gem on New Dorp Lane. 10000% make sure to make reservations ahead of time for brunch. We go Sundays around 11AM and people start rolling in after us so it gets busy for brunch! Such good vibes and cute ambiance. It does get loud when it's a packed house, so just a heads up for people that do not like that kind of vibe.Drinks, food and staff is an all around A++ in my book.My favorite dishes to order are the mini quiches (2 different options of quiche, but I liked both so I always order 1 of each), the Tea Tower that has fresh fruit, pastries and mini quiches (perfect for up to 4 people), Truffle Fries, Lobster Benny, Breakfast Tacos and Steak N Egg Benny Flatbread. I haven't tried out the rest of the brunch menu, but a lot of my friends have been here and said everything on the menu is delicious! The bottomless sangria and mimosa option is a must, such a good price for bottomless drinks lol. I love bringing friends here -- it's always such a fun time and even better when the food and drinks are so good!I haven't tried the dinner menu out yet, but I sure will be back to try it out soon!“
“Delicious Food! Fast Service! Nice decor with beautiful ceiling. Our server Norbert was pleasant and professional, suggesting the best of what the restaurant offers (which is everything including the bread basket and condiments.) Everything we ordered was amazing: the fried calamari morsels were fresh and tender in a delicious, light batter. Clams on the half shell were so fresh and succulent! The meatballs, eggplant parm, chicken parm and chicken francese were entrees that were big on both taste and portion size. I will definitely come back and tell all my friends about Francesco's Supper Club.“
“Absolutely the best pizza you will have in your lifetime. The marinara slice is to DIE for! We came all the way from over 2 hours away to try this place, as our friends in Staten Island do nothing but rant and rave about this place. Outside of the food being nothing less than absolutely scrumptious and the best pizza on this side of heaven, this place is a FAMILY BUSINESS and you can FEEL and TASTE the love that is put into making the spectacularly mouthwatering pizza. Don't sell yourself or your family/loved ones short. Treat yourself to impeccable food and a delightful atmosphere at Mamma Mia's Pizzeria! YOUR GOING TO LOVE YOUR PIZZA! I GUARANTEE IT!!!!!!!!“
“One of the best Bakeries in Staten Island and also a great lunch spot. Great sandwiches with homemade Italian bread baked on premises. The best of the best hero shops.. you name it they make it!! Try the Royal cheesesteak one of the best sandwich/heroes I've ever eaten. Real steak not frozen steak end, delicious“
“Had lunch here with my wife earlier today. Very nice setting here. Nice waitstaff. Ozzi was great. We ordered 2 lunch specials: lentil soup, chicken Marsala, penne alla vodka, with some junior cheesecake for dessert. We had no complaints. Thought everything was great.“
“Absolutely delicious Italian pizza, pasta and entrees! There are so many pizza choices, my favorites were the grilled chicken Caesar salad and the Grandma with a sesame seed crust, soooo yummy! We shared the seafood salad with large shrimp, mussels and tender calamari and the beautiful cold cut platter. The pasta with bolognese was fabulous and so was the chicken francese. They even have gluten free pizza and pasta. Finish with cappuccino and the oh so fresh cannolis and zeppoles. Bring the entire clan as the prices are very reasonable at this wonderful family friendly restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pasta and pizzaKid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly“
“Was invited there for a Press Night and it was fantastic. The people were friendly and warm and pizza and sandwiches were EXCELLENT. To too is all off, the night ended with a special dessert (and he doesn’t generally do desserts) by Executive Chef Mike DiLeo. It was a great night and met some great people.“
“Excellent restaurant! Small but very inviting. The menu is eclectic yet down to earth. Daily specials are available. We had the baked clams spl as well as Rosalies salad. For entree, we had the veal piccata and the filet of sole. Dessert was the homemade cheese cake! Utterly delicious.“
“My wife and I frequent Trattoria Vento. We decided it would be the perfect place to celebrate her 65th birthday. We met with Melissa-who we adore-and made the reservation. She listened to what we would like to do and said, "No problem!"We were 12 persons at our dinner party. From the moment the garlic knots, bread and capanatta were served through coffee and dessert, everyone kept saying how delicious everything was and how sizeable the portions were and that the service and attentiveness of the staff was amazing.Thank you Melissa for a 5 star dining experience, and please extend our thanks to the staff, chef, and Kitchen staff.Whether you want to have a dinner party, or an intimate dinner for two, we recommend highly Trattoria Vento!Dietary restrictions: Ventos offers gluten free and whole wheat pastas.Parking: There is a parking lot in the rear of the restaurant and there's also a back entrance.“
“Had the brooklyn square....very close in taste and texture to L&B which is rare in a clone of this type....only downside was the slice was sitting around a while and was kind of dry. I saw a fresh pie come out of the oven and it looked great. Sfincione slice was also very “
“Was here for a bridal shower. The menu was plentiful. It was a party menu however it offered a fair variety of choices. The wait staff was attentive and the wait time for food was fair. Food was delicious and was of a fair serving size.“
“Had my daughters confirmation party there on Easter Sunday. Pete the owner made sure everything was perfect! Food was great everyone was so full. We love this place and we will be back soonVegetarian options: The chef came out personally to ask what our vegan grandfather would like to eat he said he would make anything he wanted as long as he had it. Grilled vegetables were perfect“
“This place is AMAZING, best pizza, chicken parm and meat balls around. I am in love and have dreams about the mozzarella in carrozza you really can’t get it anywhere else. I visit my in-laws just for the mozz ;)Delivery guys are quick and always so nice, the people answering the phones are super helpful, and they don’t rush you at all and answer all your questions.. if I could give 10 stars I would!I should really dine in one of these days!Picture is of the mozzarella in carrozza, 4 come in the order but I had to eat two right away.. they are THAT GOOD!!!“
“We really enjoyed the visit. First time. Miguel was fabulous and the presentation amazing. A beautiful restaurant and wonderfully flavored foods. Grilled octopus amazing. Focaccia (2 kinds) so good! On and on. Everything was great finished with afogatto!“
