With the liquor the # 1 ingredient. Santa Fe makes a true margarita. The food is also very fresh and made to offer. Never found a place that makes better tacos.“

I don’t drink alcohol but hubby thought their craft beers are top-notch, with Hurricane Kitty and Mother's Milk being my favorites. They also have live music events that make the place even more fun. It has the same welcoming atmosphere as its previous location, but this is so much better! Food and service are great, and they have been very busy since opening a few weeks ago. “Stopped in here when I was real hungry and driving back from the Baseball Hall of Fame... food was great... I'd be back if I didn't live on opposite sides of Dutchess County.. if I walked more then 100 ft I'd be in Putnam/Fairfield County..

But my curiosity got best of me.... this plaza looked familiar.. Then I saw Fanns on side of building . I remember my friend got his first couch from Fanns Furniture back in 1990. Funny thing couch never made it to his new apartment he moved into... he had it in back of his pickup.. and on way back to Croton. We got stuck in a tremendous thunderstorm.. cover blew off the couch.. and by the time we got to his apartment his couch was ruined... Fanns refused to take it back.... so we just thru the couch in the Dumpster at his apartment..

“We were a group of 24 on Nov 1. Location was convenient for the theater. Service was great, food was excellent and portions were more than generous. Chicken salad, pot pie and corned beef Reuben burgers were some of the favorites. Special thanks to Jessica for taking such good care of us!“

“Prying yourself off of the main strip in New Paltz, The Parish restaurant shows that the back streets have something to offer as well.
To the left side of Main Street as you're heading out of town, right before you get to the old bridge, you'll see a little area that's called The Water Street Market. Making your way past all the various shops along the way, you will find The Parish upstairs overlooking the area. There is also a small parking lot for The Water Street Market in the very back. If you take the side roads and you're lucky, you may be able to find a parking spot there.
We started our lunch with The Hush Puppies and Gator Bites. The Hush Puppies were golden brown, crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The Honey butter was a nice compliment, adding that smooth creaminess and making them a warm delicious treat. The Gator Bites had a crisp outside batter with a little flavor kick from some Cajun spices. The remoulade dipping sauce was a nice pairing for the bites with that texture and flavor that only Gator has.
For our main dishes we had the Jambalaya and the Parish Burger with the side salad. The Jambalaya had a little spicy warmth to bring to the mix with the chicken and Andouille Sausage doing their part for flavor. The Parish Burger with the poblano peppers, onions, and cheese was superb. The aioli really helped to bring forward and meld all the flavors together including the juices of the perfectly cooked hamburger. Each bite added to the enjoyment. The salad having been tossed in a vinaigrette rested on the same plate making a pleasant addition.
For dessert we had the Blueberry Cheesecake. It was moderate in density with just the right amount of blueberry on it. The whipped cream with the fresh blueberries and drizzle of caramel was a nice touch of added freshness.
To surmise, The Parish with its Cajun vibe is a cozy little nook away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip.
I would also like to add The Parish has a full bar, and the servers were very pleasant doing their jobs to a T.“

“I’ve struggled with finding really delicious wings in the area. It seems like Buffalo was the only place to go-until now. I was recommended to this place and I’m very happy with the quality of the wings. I had Thai and extra hot wings. The only thing is that the extra hot wasn’t hot at all to me. But that’s just me and that certainly doesn’t take away from the quality of the food and the excellent service. Next time I’ll just specify exactly how hot I want the wings. “We came to Main Street Bistro for breakfast on the recommendation of our Airbnb host.

The menu is creative. My boyfriend's eyes stopped two items down the menu at Protein X. I kept going and asked if he was getting Kiki's breakfast stir fry and he changed his order. He rated it 9/10.

Since Mr eyes continued to wander, the citrus walnut bread of the Zoo Canoe was intriguing. I'm a picky eater. I've never put tomatoes in my eggs or tried hollandaise sauce but my daring spirit prevailed and I'm glad it did. Breakfast was DELICIOUS. I too would give mine 9/10. (Nothing is perfect although a well done version of my favorite ANYTHING may get 10/10.)

“I've been to numerous Indian restaurants throughout the tri state area and within the state of New York. Hands down, New Paltz Indian Restaurant is on my Top 5 list. The chef here does not miss, and trust me, I've visited a handful of times on different days. Food is great, and fairly priced. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like now a days you don't come across too many dining establishments with affordable pricing and high-quality food. If you're in the Hudson Valley area or passing through, eating here is worth it.“
