“My visit to Deer Mountain Inn Lodge in Upstate New York was exceptional from start to finish. The setting is incredibly cozy, with a beautiful interior that perfectly complements the surrounding mountain landscape. Sitting by the log fire after dinner created such a warm and relaxing atmosphere that made the whole experience feel special.

The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared using locally sourced ingredients, and you could truly taste the quality and freshness. The wine selection was equally impressive, offering a great mix of international and local wines that paired perfectly with the menu.

What really made the experience stand out was the staff. They were attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure every guest had a wonderful evening. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu and wine choices with confidence and enthusiasm.

A special mention has to go to Jackson, the best bartender, who crafted fantastic drinks and added a fun, personable touch to the evening.

It was also my birthday, and the team made it feel extra special by surprising us with complimentary drinks and bringing out a cake with a candle, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Overall, the staff couldn’t do enough for us, and the combination of incredible food, a cozy atmosphere, and outstanding service makes Deer Mountain Inn Lodge a place I would happily return to and highly recommend.“

only 4 stars because we waited about 20 minutes for 2 cups of coffee 🙃 & it didn’t seem like there was any urgency. we came up from NYC so maybe we’re just used to the hustle there. would skip if you’re on a time crunch.“

They have the best fries and wings I’ve had on the mountaintop, and I’m a personal fan of their spicy fried chicken sandwich, not to mention their charcuterie board, truffle fries, and spinach artichoke dip. The bartender also makes great drinks! Definitely one to check out!“

“We had a very good overall experience. The food was solid, and the steak I ordered was absolutely outstanding—definitely the highlight of the meal. Others in our group didn’t enjoy their dishes quite as much, so I would especially recommend going for the steak selection and asking the servers for guidance—they are extremely knowledgeable and very kind.

They also offer a great selection of beers and well-made cocktails. I always appreciate being asked about my liquor preference for cocktails, and they handled that detail perfectly. Prices are very fair.“

The beer was fantastic and the menu was awesome-many different choices. One can tell that the owners are not just about the beer but the food experience as well.
