“My wife and I were there for a political function combo meeting and Christmas luncheon. This establishment is super clean, bright, and cozy. The food and wine were delicious. I had chicken parm. Was fantastic. Was batted down thin and breaded and seasoned to perfection. VERY tender, I only had to use my folk to cut. The marinara was fresh semi chunky lite delicious and perfect. The fresh bread came in handy to clean up my plate. My wife has a fresh pasta marinara dish and NO complaints there. The waiter and waitress were professional, non obtrusive, thoughtful and caring about their service to us. Thank you iL Portico for having us and making us feel welcomed! Merry Christmas! Chef owners husband and wife duo Tony and Louie do it right on every level. Exceptional, interesting, and well executed food offerings married with attentive unfussy service. They offer you a seat in their home, one you’re happy to come back to time and time again. Hosted back to back 10+ parties for friends of ours who are expecting, and both events knocked it out of the park. Great food, great value, great vibes, and great service. Makes sense with their combined experience in the food world. I really can’t think of another restaurant around that makes you want to come back the second you put your fork down and I mean that with sincerity.“

“Place is a hidden treasure. Food is outstanding! The waiters were very welcoming, funny and very attentive without rushing us before we could ask for anything they were right there. The owner is super sweet with a beautiful personality. He makes you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The food was phenomenal every dish was seasoned perfectly and portions were plentiful. The prices very reasonable for the service and food quality they provide. This is so far our favorite Italian cuisine restaurant I'm so glad we live close by we will be back. I’ve been coming to the Oak House regularly, pretty much since the day they opened! It immediately became my favorite spot, for several reasons, first and foremost of the food is phenomenal, literally every bite of every menu item is delicious. They have a beautiful and unique cocktail menu, and their bartenders are spectacular. On top of all of that, the vibes are immaculate. All of the staff is great, super friendly, and accommodating. Oak house is the perfect spot for a girls night out, date night, happy hour… or a solo date! Honestly all the things!!“

We booked a reservation last minute and they were able to accommodate us on a pretty busy night. We hung out at the bar until our table was ready, and it was in a semi-private room, which I liked. “This is like Cheers where everybody knows your name. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and truly get to know and take care of the people that come in, even in my case they remembered me and where I was from when I hadn't been there in a year. The food is really well crafted and tasty, and well sourced. The eggs, for example, are farm quality. The drinks are creative. It's a fun atmosphere for brunch or any other time.“

Some of my favorites are the Caprese Salad Frito Misto Tartufo pizza. Yesterday,we went for cocktails and shared a Frito Misto.As usual , they were excellent. It was early but the place was pretty full. The bartender was very professional and efficient. Overall very good experience.“

“Great find in Scarsdale! Cutest little spot that transports you to a restaurant in the Mediterranean/Italy. Small, well appointed trattoria style restaurant. Warm, friendly service. Great natural light.

This is the place for those perfect aperol spritzies & fresh food. Fresh bread & imported olive oil served to start. We then ordered the Mediterranea Salad which was so refreshing: tomatoes, red peppers, cucumber, red onion, feta & light lemon dressing - great start. Margherita pizza & the Chicken Parm were both outstanding. Pizza is the perfect size, light but crispy with san marzano tomatoes, mozzarella fior di latte, evoo & basil. The Chicken Parm is understated, but hits all the marks - chicken pounded thin, crispy breading, tangy sauce & fresh parm.

Same owner as Cafe Alaia, which we're trying next, but this spot is already heavy in our rotation from now on.

“The experience was great thanks to Jeff. I needed help finding a macallan lumina whiskey which is hard to find unless it was on a cruise or duty-free shop. The process was easy by calling in to see if they have it in stock and to order it. They packaged it nicely and had no problem picking it up a month after the purchase.
