“Wowsa what a meal!!! Friends had posted beautiful pics of their meals from their tasting menu. It's cute: half the restaurant is a traditional dining room and the other is take out fish and chips. You can have a delicious meal a la carte or the tasting menu. I could not convince my husband to do the 15 course chef's tasting menu. But we did do the tasting menu with wine. Every dish was light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed the wine pairings which were different (portuguese and spanish wines rounded out some American and South African wines). I am excited to come back to try more of their traditional menu and their namesake (fish and chips). Well worth a visit.“

“The ambiance of Raconteur was just perfect. For that brief 1.5hr dinner, I was transported to a cozy, warm and inviting place. The service was excellent (I even shared our server that her aura was glowing). Since we were doing vegetarian that night, we had the spicy shrooms (flavorful, but a little too chewy for me). Then we tried 2 other entrees that I cant remember the names but the taste was unforgettable, one had had honey on it and the other arugula- the bread, folks will make you rethink Keto- reminds me of home made bread. There were fish & meat entrees as well. Go for the vibe, and be transported and renewed. So glad I found this little gem.“

“Why aren’t more people talking about this place??!!!??My friends and I went tonight night for dinner and drinks because we saw they had the speakeasy and we love that vibe.We decided to sit at the bar. Immediately, the bartender, Steven/Stephen, starts telling us about the place and it’s rich history. He was so kind and helpful the whole night. He made sure he connected with us for a great experience. We ordered espresso martinis, because obviously. They were INCREDIBLE. You can get it with or without Baileys which was nice. We even got decaf espresso. The level of sweetness was just right. The foam was foaming. They were truly a treat. 10/10. I also ordered a Tiramisu martini which came with a lady finger on top. This was a little stronger but still nice and creamy with great foam. 9/10.The food was absolutely DIVINE. He told us the food is made fresh because they don’t have a freezer..?!?!!? Impressive if true. We started off with the Arancini because they are my religion. Mouthwatering. The rice was perfectly cooked. The crispy outside was amazing. The flavors melded together well. 10/10. I had the Spicy Rigs. It was made with homemade pasta…!!!!!!!!!! I am not a pasta girly but when it’s homemade…consider me a pasta girly. The sauce was smooth and creamy. The tomatoes really came through. I wish the Calabrian chilis poked through a little more for more of a spice. However, the flavors were still balanced. 9/10.The vibes were immaculate! We got there about 7. A DJ started playing music around 9:30. It turned into a club vibe which was shocking. The music was blaring so it did become hard to hear each other. The music was still good though. They do have HH Monday - Friday which seems like really great deals on drinks/food.I would 100000000% come back here and recommend it to anyone. I hope to try their sister restaurant soon, Hudson Prime Steakhouse, which is the only steakhouse in Irvington apparently!!!For me to live in Westchester all my life and to not have heard of this place before is crazy! It was so good.“

“We came here based on the reviews after an appointment and upper Westchester. This is actually after our second visit. We actually sat in the lounge area by the bar, where it was happy hour and enjoy the music, the energy of the surrounding people and of course the food is excellent. The fusion of Latin and modern cuisines is so ingenious their drinks are phenomenal. This is definitely one of our go to spots when we want to have a blend of delicious fusion and healthy mix together .“

“Yummy seafood. Good date night. It was a week day, so not so busy. I was told it was difficult to get in on weekends. I had mussels as an appetizer and some kind of chicken dish (basically chicken piccata) with risotto on the side. The mussels were amazing, and they had like a broth and toast on the side. I had in mind the chicken would be a little different, but my husband thought it was really good. The risotto was creamy and flavorful. I decided I needed a vegetable, so I ordered some broccoli. They cooked it butter with some garlic slivers, and that broccoli was just delicious. I was stuffed after that, and had that broccoli taste for a little while. Amazing.“

“The food was delicious, their French onion soup was the best I’ve ever had and my wife loved her salad. For dinner I had the ribeye, which had great aged flavor and my wife had the pasta special which she loved. On the negatives, the marrow bone in the soup was kind of cold so the marrow was like eating a hunk of cold butter. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was more medium, but everything was still delicious. The noise level was off the charts, it’s a busy bar and was as loud as a frat party, that was annoying.“

“I went there 4 times already and I must say that for a recent new comer to the US, this place is a hidden gem. Great craft beer selection and Evan (the owner) is a pretty awesome dude. I am a punk rock sound mixer and filmmaker from Lisbon, Portugal that has been touring the world since 1996 and I really thought that now living in corky expensive Westchester that it would be rare to feel and get in touch with “real scrappy people”, I guess I was wrong so thank you Growlers for having me, much appreciated. Last Tuesday was night jam sessions hosted by Paul Francis which is indeed an awesome fellow. Great jam ladies and gentlemen.P.s. my only two cents recco goes to the happy hour ? it could definitely be a bit more attractive so i could spend all my afternoons at The Green Growler hehe“

“We had a great first experience! Deena and Laura are very attentive and made us feel welcome. It was hard to make a decision with the vast menu, but we both landed on good choices. Here's my Englebert Pumperdink with thick, fresh sliced turkey breast, ham, bacon, onion and tomato. Breaded mushrooms with horseradish sauce are great...and my friend loved his very tender shell/strip steak with an enormous onion ring and a side of mixed sweet potato fries and wedge fries. My favorite though was the side of garlic mash and gravy! Definitely worthy of a trip back to Horsefeathers ☺️“

“Cute tavern! We have gone back now multiple times. They are so accommodating/knowledgeable with gluten free! There are only a few items that you have to call ahead for 24 hours. But almost everything on their meal is gluten free. I LOVE the turkey shepherds pie with sweet potato mash on the top. And they carry gluten free cake from the local bakery. We also asked about sodium accommodations for my FIL, and the owner said that it could easily be done. So happy to support this business.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and low sodium“

“Aries birthday celebrations continued this last Saturday evening, 30th March, at the fabulous KEE Oyster House in White Plains. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and taken care of the entire time. We began with Sonoma Saint Francis Chardonnay, with a splendid array of plump East Coast Oysters, an order of delicious Oysters Rockefeller, and hubs enjoyed his yummy New England clam chowder as he did in 2019. Entrees of: Blackened Tuna with Lime sauce, a silky Grilled Salmon Filet Beurre Blanc with pearls of Salmon Roe, and a large Caesar Salad with grilled Chicken strips. Happy Birthdays sung at dessert with an assortment of Tiramisu, Vanilla Ice Cream and Key Lime Tart. Let's make a wish! Lovely ambience + Wishing all a Hoppy Easter too! :) Thank you for reading“

“OCCASION: Post funeral service, so the menu options were pre arranged. This restaurant has been here for decades. I have a brick oven pizza at the center of the restaurant. Pizzas are OK, nothing spectacular. With my allium , allergies, I am not able to review all of the appetizers that were served but the wings looked spectacular. MENU: Three choices on our group menu: sliced steak, chicken marsala, or broiled salmon. The sides were rice or garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. The waitress was thorough and pleasant- she assured that my food did not have any garlic or onion products on it. The salmon was cooked perfectly - tender and moist with a generous portion a top amount of fresh green beans. My table mate was very pleased with her sliced steak Prepared to a perfect medium rare. THE SETTING: a log cabin, inside and out - cozy, moody atmosphere, with a casual vibe and bustling during the lunch hour. Due to the nature of our visit, I did not take any photographs of the interior.“

“All around outstanding. Atmosphere is reminiscent of the good ole days. Not only do they have sports, the establishment carries every television service necessary to carry all of them. The prime rib falls off of both sides of the plate, and the double grilled wings are served like they just came off of the bbq. Reservations are available for six or more.Parking: It’s in a strip mall so other businesses share this same lot, the restaurant is a busy spot at the hours you’d expect it would be, but you’ll find parking.Wheelchair accessibility: More than one ramp exists, each side of the stop mall has one, so matter where you park, this establishment is accessible.“

“Recent JGB show, inspired my first review. Capital always does a nice job with crowds, you get inside quickly, Garcias has good drinks and beers, and great staff. Parking can be a challenge, but the lot near the train station always seems to have the kind spot. The local beer garden is worth it, for a little pre-game. If you like deadbands and jambands, great place. Thank you Capital Portchester for years and years of great shows!“
“oh the setback how I love you! the bartenders (Brian and George) are always welcoming. the bathroom is always clean. the bar is never sticky, as are the tables. the atmosphere is always on point even on an extremely busy night. thank you for being the local watering hole and being a place to let the work week melt away. where else can you hear the theme to duck tales play and the entire bar sings? xoxo Setback forever!“

“Very special place with flawless execution. Real nice touch on menu subtleties, chicory salad and mezzi rigatoni for example. The spinach gnudi speechless. But it’s got two fundamental flaws. We aren’t in Manhattan. $30+ pastas are unacceptable. And the wine is approachable and works, but not enough of an effort given the quality of food. Be too easy to upgrade it and treat their customers.Saying this I go back each month but I must admit other local options might not be as perfect but bring more value. And I have eaten at some of the best Italian restaurants. It’s a nice comfortable yummy place that won’t disappoint. I just don’t feel so good and enthralled given a lack of respect for us feel good patrons.“

“My husband and I came in for dinner while staying in a nearby hotel. It's a pretty typical Irish pub/sports bar, pretty small, but with good service. “Nestled in the corner next to the DeCicco Family Market in Katonah, NY is an unexpected pleasure called the Farmhouse Tavern. The upscale feel from the rich earthy tones, period moldings, and tin ceiling all heighten ones expectations. The talented chef and personable and attentive bar tender, Nick, delivered on every level. We started with Steamed Clams bathed in an aromatic broth of garlic, chorizo, shallots, and white wine. It was so good we asked for more bread and made certain little was left behind. For our entrees, I chose Faroe Island Salmon with a tasty dijon mustard sauce, sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. It was a perfect compliment to the Steamed clams. My partner chose their Lump Crabment Ravioli in a Brown Butter and Sage Sauce. The flavors danced on our tongues and were beyond sublime in taste. We had no room for dessert and look forward to returning and adding that in too. They offer live music from time to time, so you may luck out big one Thursday night. Add Farmhouse Tavern to your list and sit at the bar and receive first class hospitality from Nick, a great bartender that never takes his eyes off your glass and provides heaps of hospitality on top. A lovely night out in Katonah!“

“We got there early when it was still quiet, but once the restaurant gets fuller, it becomes difficult to have a conversation. “I have been going to Fortina since they first opened in 2013. Fortina and Decicco's, both located in Armonk Square, were a shot in the arm to downtown Armonk at the time and they both have become institutions in town. Fortina strikes a perfect balance of modern takes on italian food while offering an authentic experience with excellent homemade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and other "wood-fired" offerings coming out of their ovens. Their menu has few blind spots as everything I have had has always been delicious. I always look forward to new seasonal additions and tweaks over the years. On our most recent trip, we tried their wood-fired wings for the first time. They came out piping hot and juicy. The calabrian chili and maple sauce was delicious paired with the green goddess dressing. For an entree, I had the gnocchi (which I had previously via takeout, and I knew I had to try fresh in the restaurant next time I went). The pan seared gnocchi has a thick, almost creamy pistachio pesto drizzled with brown butter and cheese - it was fantastic. Inside Fortina has a great vibe with a rustic but modern feel of the wood covered walls adorned with eccentric art including a portrait of Bill Murray from the life aquatic which has been there since opening. Service is friendly and relaxed. Fortina is always a great choice for some of the best pizza and pasta in the County as well as an excellent weekend brunch.“
