I had some time to kill so I started asking Charlotte about why my homemade sourdough bread wasn't successful. She called Raphael over who, while he didn't share his secret receipe, he helped me understand the reasons why my bread wasn't full of air and getting any "oven lift." They were both so gracious with their time and experience......I hope they will consider offering cooking classes at some point. Absolute class act people!“

We had a traveling themed bridal shower and Wildly Cakes was able to make this beautiful world map on the side. But it doesn’t just end there the cake itself tasted delicious. We got a vanilla cake with cookie butter filling and all my guests ranted and raved on how good it was. I’m so Glad my husband found a bakery that not only is named black forest but also bakes the most delectable Black Forest cakes I have ever had. However, their mini cakes are not the best, which is why I'm docking a star. I ordered a mini tiramisu which was dry and seemed to have a frosting layer rather than a creamy mascarpone, which was disappointing. Overall, awesome bakery! I would just say to avoid the mini cakes.“

“So been here alot before i started writing reviews. In The Summer during the Thornwood car show, my parents and i can be seen eating their italian ices, which are very good. They also have cakes, pastries, and i believe i tasted my first almond horn from here, and it was good! Also once brought a pint to use for my 18th/Graduation party a few years ago. Inside, they do have chairs and tables where one can sit if they want.
Went here on Saturday August 10th 2024 while at the Thornwood car show with my parents. We were there to get italian ices. Staff was pleasant, and asked what we wanted right away. I got a Cotton Candy Italian ice, and my mom got lemon, and my dad got chocolate. We paid with cash, as they charge for using a credit card. Italian ices were very good! as we enjoyed them! We hope to be back soon!“

“Julie’s Bakery on McLean Avenue is an absolute gem in Yonkers. I came with Eddie from @southyonkers, and we tried two incredible sandwiches here. First, their giant chicken torta fresh bread, perfectly seasoned chicken, creamy avocado, crisp lettuce, and all the classic torta flavors stacked so high we had to split it. It was that big!

We loved it so much we came back another day just for their famous concha bacon egg and cheese. The combination of the sweet, colorful concha with the savory bacon, fluffy eggs, and melty cheese is genius. It’s unlike anything you’ll find anywhere else.

To drink, we had Jamaica and Horchata two agua frescas made perfectly, refreshing, and full of authentic flavor.
