“Friendly service, good food takes time to prepare but it's so worth the wait“

“I never thought I would find a kosher restaurant on the border of Bushwick and Bed-Stuy. And as far as I can tell, the closest place elsewhere you can find kosher food is in Crown Heights, which is about 2 miles away. Still, the shakshuka pita I had blew me away. That, and Eddie (the owner) helped me put on tefillin earlier. Considering it is a kosher establishment, the prices are pretty fair. Jewish or not, if you find yourself over here, try it, you won't regret it. My Orthodox friends would love this“

“We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Some of the best falafel and tabouli I’ve tasted in quite some time too!“

“The chicken over rice was really good. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, and the rice was soft and flavorful. The white sauce and hot sauce made it even better. The service person was very kind and friendly, which made the experience even nicer. Overall, it was filling, tasty, and I would definitely get it again.“

The food is awesome. First night we got the Shrimp Ala Sabry's. Amazing. Second night we got the Seafood Combo for two!! Incredible. The prices were also so reasonable!

“My first time visiting and Ahmed was so kind and welcoming! I tried the mixed platter with three different meats and two sides (I chose rice and salad). The salad was fresh and crunchy, the meat and rice were seasoned wonderfully. Every bite was delicious, and the portions were huge. It's more a restaurant vibe so give them a little time to cook the food. Overall I highly recommend and I'll be coming back!“

“My opinion is 8.3/10. Overall I did enjoy it for my first shashuka. $15 for hummus, 2 eggs and 2 pitas pockets. Overall fresh and enjoyable. “Really a great and very unique restaurant. First of all, the bread is more than great and completely different from any other bread in the United States. In the restaurant, you feel as if you are in Egypt or any other Arab country. You can have breakfast with beans, falafel, hummus, liver, and heart, just like you would eat in any popular restaurant in Egypt. For lunch, you can also eat Mandi and various delicious meats. The prices are reasonable, and the area where the restaurant is located is very lively 🌸🌸“

“One of the best middle eastern restaurants in metro NYC. we came with a part of five and ordered up a large sample of dishes. Everything we tried was one better than the next. Super tasty humus, light, fresh and lemony. I had a stuffed chicken over rice, which was to die for. We tried the mixed grill, shawarma, Middle East platter and several salads.
Very reasonable prices. Simple brightly lit space with a lovely staff.“

“Can’t say enough great things about this place! I placed a catering order for my baby shower and everyone loved the delicious food! We had chicken shawarma, falafel, basmati and yellow rice, hummus, baba ghanouj, house salad, and all the different types of pickles and sauces. We eat a LOT of halal cart food, and Abdul offers some of the best we’ve had. If you’re in the area (or flying out of JFK and have some extra time), it’s worth a small detour.“

Also a big fan of whatever seasoning they use on those crispy fries. One small recommendation, just because of where they’re situated: would love to see some quality hot sauce or shatta on offer. I tried the Lamb Swarma (Gyro) plater. It came with a lot of items, salads, rice. Very good portion.

“I visited Yummy Tummy bakery for the first time today, with five other friends of mine to support a Black-owned business during Black History Month. The owner Melissa and Kaylan made the entire experience a delight. The two of them made sure we got all of our treats in a timely manner and treated us with such care. The sweets themselves were absolutely delicious. The fruity pebble cupcake particularly was the perfect amount of sweet, moist, and airy. “I came here with my boyfriend late on a cold night. Immediately we were welcomed by the owner with a sample of two soups lentil and harira. Harira soup was amazing, a flavor bomb! We picked Lamb in a pita and Middle Eastern meat combo. The meat was so fresh, so juicy so perfectly seasoned we couldn't get enough. All the veggies that were served with it were so fresh, the baba ghanoush, Tahini, hummus and eggplant in tomato sauce were just making the platter so diverse you want to keep coming back for more.
Samosas were so flaky, little spicy but in the best way!
Baklava was so crunchy! Ive never had this fresh and crunchy of a baklava before.
Im coming back for more!
