“Had the falafel sandwich like many times as a vegan, but this was soooo good. Crispy outside, soft moist inside. Your choice of “salads”/pickled veggies to add into it. I had baba ghanoush, Julienne pickled carrots , and a cubed roasted eggplant, onion, and tomato. So flavorful without being overpowering w any one ingredient. Eddy makes everything homemade by hand. Everything! The falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, the pickles, the pita. Pita so good. Large thick and soft. My friends had a beef kabob sandwich and chicken plate. They said it was delicious. “We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Some of the best falafel and tabouli I’ve tasted in quite some time too!“

“I stopped by Zaki’s Halal while looking for a place to eat, and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely incredible fresh, flavorful, and one of the best halal meals I’ve had.
The owner was extremely kind and welcoming, and the young lady working there was also very professional, friendly, and helpful. Their customer service made the experience even better.
The restaurant was spotless, well-maintained, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere.

“Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious — the shawarma, grilled meats, rice, and salad were all fresh and full of flavor. Even the sweet pie/dessert was light and excellent.

But honestly, the best part was the service. A gentleman named Noor from Egypt took great care of us. He was very respectful, friendly, and extremely helpful the whole time. Employees like him really make people want to come back again. Highly recommend this place!“

“Really enjoyed the food here and thought the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. One thing that stood out was how quickly everything was prepared — the food came out almost immediately, which made the experience really convenient without sacrificing freshness. Everything tasted flavorful, hot, and satisfying, especially for a quick stop. The only small issue was that it was a little difficult to hear the employee speaking because she was very quiet and the plexiglass made communication harder. Aside from that, the service was still polite and the overall experience was smooth. The place felt organized, efficient, and easy to stop by when you want something quick but still good quality. “Really a great and very unique restaurant. First of all, the bread is more than great and completely different from any other bread in the United States. In the restaurant, you feel as if you are in Egypt or any other Arab country. You can have breakfast with beans, falafel, hummus, liver, and heart, just like you would eat in any popular restaurant in Egypt. For lunch, you can also eat Mandi and various delicious meats. The prices are reasonable, and the area where the restaurant is located is very lively 🌸🌸“

“One of the best middle eastern restaurants in metro NYC. we came with a part of five and ordered up a large sample of dishes. Everything we tried was one better than the next. Super tasty humus, light, fresh and lemony. I had a stuffed chicken over rice, which was to die for. We tried the mixed grill, shawarma, Middle East platter and several salads.
Very reasonable prices. Simple brightly lit space with a lovely staff.“

“My opinion is 8.3/10. Overall I did enjoy it for my first shashuka. $15 for hummus, 2 eggs and 2 pitas pockets. Overall fresh and enjoyable. “One of my favorite halal spots in queens. Food and service is impeccable. Even though I got a salad platter they still threw in some rice so you won’t go hungry. Chicken and lamb are amazing. Perfect amount of char and still tender. They also usually give out a free sample of falafel which is cooked and seasoned perfectly. They also cook it in an oval shape so it’s a bit more crispy as opposed to the circle ones. Must try and always get extra white sauce and hot sauce. Food is hot, fresh and comes out quickly“

“I visited Yummy Tummy bakery for the first time today, with five other friends of mine to support a Black-owned business during Black History Month. The owner Melissa and Kaylan made the entire experience a delight. The two of them made sure we got all of our treats in a timely manner and treated us with such care. The sweets themselves were absolutely delicious. The fruity pebble cupcake particularly was the perfect amount of sweet, moist, and airy. If you’re in the neighborhood, I’d definitely recommend you stop by!“

“Got a chicken burrito with pinto bean, brown rice, Monterrey jack cheese, pico de gallo and sour cream. The burrito was so good, very well seasoned. Delicious Yemeni food, likely the best in Queens, whether sit down, take-out, or from their street grill, coupled with the friendly service will keep me and my family coming back. Take the poor reviews of this business and set them aside as merely bad judgment on the reviewer's. This is not a fast food restaurant! Expect to wait a little, but you will be satisfied.Their Steinway Halal cart outside offers half chicken and kabobs over rice. Delicious!“

“*4/5 stars — Great hall and food, one staffing issue*

We held our event at this hall and overall it was a really nice experience. The venue is clean, well-decorated, and has a great layout for guests. The food was a standout — fresh, hot, and flavorful. Everyone at our table commented on how good it was.

The only issue we ran into was with one of the volunteer staff members. Instead of serving, he sat down and ate with the guests. He also cleared plates and removed food from the table while people were still eating. It was awkward and threw off the flow of the meal a bit.

Outside of that, the rest of the team was attentive and the manager was responsive when we mentioned it. For the quality of the hall and food, I’d still recommend booking here. Hopefully they address the volunteer training so guests can finish their meals in peace.

*Cons:* Volunteer staff behavior — clearing food too early, eating with guests

“We ordered the Mix Grill for 2 entree. There was a slight hiccup with our order but the manager made sure to make everything right, and we were very happy with the service. The food was not bad, I would go more for the meat than for the chicken.“

The marinated chicken is very tasty, I think they use tomato, and the chicken is very well cooked, not greasy or anything. It is a little spicy tho, but the rest of the food balances it out. Rice cooked perfect as well. I remember last year I came here the rice was dry.“

“This spot is Legit, new owners are welcoming and friendly. Celebrated a Friend’s birthday and all the staff was very attentive. They even decorated the booth with a Happy birthday sign and some flowers. They have beer buckets, cocktails, and different selection of beer . We had Chicken mofongo as appetizers, just a quick bite . The nachos were complimentary for the tables/ booth. I really enjoyed the hooka “Love”, kitchen closes at 1am . I had this experience more than 20 times. I can't understand why they treat non Arab people different. So be careful. Otherwise food is 5 star and service is awful.“
