“Cafe Carmellini doesn’t serve dinner — it stages it. The space feels like if old New York and Paris had a perfectly dressed baby. Every detail is choreographed, but it never feels stiff.

Started with the zucchini flowers lobster and artichoke Provençal — light, layered, and borderline poetic. The duck, duck, duck tortellini? A playful name hiding serious precision — pure Carmellini flex.

Then the squab en cocotte landed like a mic drop — perfectly cooked, rich but composed, the kind of dish that makes you remember why New York is still the best food city on Earth.

Closed it out with the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate ganache — pure indulgence, no regrets.

“I really love parlour room. The bar is so cool. When you walk in it has a cool vibe like old New York. I like the bottle display and they have a shaker machine that super shakes the cocktails. So fun: the bartender said it’s the only one in nyc. I love the cocktails and i definitely come here when we see a show or after dinner drinks, but the food here is good too! Then we pop over to bo peep the speak easy next door“

“This was my first time trying omakase in New York, and I went alone — but the experience couldn’t have been better. From the beginning, the staff made sure to ask about any allergies or dietary restrictions, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, and the service was incredibly attentive and kind without being overbearing. Every dish was beautifully presented and thoughtfully explained. I felt completely taken care of the whole time.
Also, I was honestly surprised by how reasonably priced the wine and sake were — definitely not what I expected in NYC.
Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for a welcoming and high-quality omakase experience.“

“EMP has been on my bucket list for a long time. When I found out they were featuring meat courses again, I was ecstatic because we happen to be in town. I was lucky enough to grab one of their bar tasting menu reservations. We’ve had the privilege to dine at many Worlds Best and Michelin starred restaurants around the world, so I had extremely high hopes.

The courses were good, but nothing really wowed me. I wish they offered less vegan courses. Since we do not drink alcohol, I was surprised to see a non-alcoholic wine pairing. I opted for it ($135) bc I was intrigued, but I would not get it again. The white pairings were delicious, but the red pairings all tasted sour and left a bad aftertaste. I only had a sip. Service was exceptional, I did not expect anything less. For the price, I would rather go to Per Se or Le Bernardin.“

“BEST MEAL I’ve had in my entire life! I don’t say that lightly because we’ve eaten in Michelin restaurants all over the world. “Saga is a 10 points experience from start to finish. It is a wonderful place to celebrate a loved one and share the experience with friends. You arrive, they meet you with a choice of two drinks, that then the waitress takes to the table.

We chose the seasonal tasting menu which goes through multiple courses. Both menus were great. They were able to accommodate a vegetarian menu as we called with time. Each of the dishes were absolutely delicious.

We also did the wine pairing, the discovery selection of wines. We tried so many incredible wines. It was totally worth.

Staff were on point every step of the way. They were super kind, accommodating and walked us through each step with kindness.

“Though we enjoyed our meal at HAGS, our experience wasn’t quite as sensational as some of the other reviewers.

We found the food a bit underwhelming, especially at this price point. Don’t get me wrong, it was good throughout and sometimes great. The beef entree and the pumpernickel brand, for example, were fantastically done.

But many of the remaining dishes were quite vegetable-forward and some of the flavors didn’t seem to make sense together. There’s nothing wrong with a lot of vegetable dishes, but taken together it felt like the meal was a little bare and missing some substance / finesse.

The service was awesome and the decor of the place is lovely and memorable. Unfortunately, those were the parts of the meal that left the most lasting impression (vs the meal itself). Also love that they include tip with the menu prices - more restaurants ought to do that.

Maybe we aren’t the target demographic, but I think there are better spots in NYC to drop $200 pp.“

“Below is my unedited initial review of Ren. Since writing this review I have had several people complain about their experience and they chose to go based on my review. Therefore, I'd like to preface the review below by sharing a few important details.
The tasting menu is for foodies. If you are not a foodie, you will NOT enjoy the tasting menu. You will leave hungry and agitated because of the price. Ren is VERY expensive. If you are not a foodie, your enjoyment will be the location/service and ambiance. But you don't need to go to Ren for that. My suggestion to Ren, if they want to start making money, is to offer a non-foodie menu. Your location and space is amazing. Your chef is very talented. Widen the offerings and the people will come. Even a foodie like me won't go back for the tasting menu. I did it. No reason to have it again, unlike the steak at Le Marais that I can eat twice a month and never get sick of (in theory, obviously).

Five stars all around. Chef is amazing. So go. Try it out. Now for some details. I have to go back and try the prefix menu. The tasting menu was out of this world. We went for my 50th birthday, so it was special and we paid knowing that. If you are going out for a regular meal, ask the prices first. They are much higher than you’d expect. However, the quality is also much higher. So you are truly getting what you pay for. The tasting is a kosher experience worth trying if you are a foodie. It will blow your mind away like it did ours. Took many hours for the different tastes we had in our mouths to subside! That was wild. Do yourself a favor and get the wine pairing. They know what they are doing at REN. Enjoy!“

“We had a nice experience here. My steak was very good, I really did enjoy it. My husband things his dish dish was also pleasant. At first our waiter was a bit stiff and stand offish but he opened up and was professional. The location is beautiful and so is the space. I wouldn’t make a special trip to go back here specifically but if I’m in the mall again, I wouldn’t be opposed to it. It’s quality service and food, expensive but it’s NYC.“

“Clover Hill exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and creative. I feel there is always one dish in a tasting menu that is a disappointment or lack luster but that was complete untrue here — each dish was a star.

The service was excellent and the staff was so kind and accommodating. The pace of the meal was also spot on.

The wine pairings were exceptional!! We have strong opinions in this area and were surprised and delighted by Debbie’s choices. Highly recommend adding the pairing

“The food here hits on every course so you’ll always be pleased. Service is on its best game and you definitely leave feeling like you were engaged with a completely premium experience. My only gripe is that they offer many supplements (that are not cheap) and they present them to you in stages so you always feel like you’re being upsold. I’d much rather pay a known fee early and just enjoy the rest of my experience.“

“An interesting concept with rotating chefs. Food was good but it took over 2 hours to get the whole meal, which made the wait between each dish pretty long. They add the service and its labeled as it going to the staff. If that's the case, tax should not be calculated over the service amount but it is. Unless the restaurant is also taking a portion of the tips, then it is taxable. Overall good experience.“

“Service was sloppy. Having dined here many times before I was very upset seeing my ordered cocktail sitting on the bar for 10 minutes before I got up to get it myself. Staff did not seem to care. We asked for cold apps then hot apps which we are always accommodated with and were met with resistance by waiter who then brought a cold salad with hot polpette. Our waiter was seemed to basically ignore us and was totally wrapped up with a large table. We chose to have our anniversary dinner here and were very disappointed.“

“Great Middle Eastern restaurant! All food that we ordered was delicious and tasty! From the outside it was okay but when you taste their food then you will change your mind! Location: It is located on second avenue, the interior is nice with a nice bar in the side. The outdoor seating is better, cause it is spacious and more safer and comfortable. Service: The servers are nice, they gave you good recommendations. A little bit busy as usual, but they try their best to accommodate! Also, they gave us free shots because we get along with the servers. Food: All that we ordered was delicious, small servings tho but the taste of the food was good! FALAFEL PLATTER: omg the hummus that comes with it are so good! Silky and perfect with the falafel and pita that comes with it. It is good for sharing or even by yourself! BURATTA: the cheese is soft and delicious. It comes with bacon or ham? I'm not sure but it tastes good with the burrata. CALAMARI: we were sad when it came cause we thought it was fried but man it was so good, it was grilled and it taste like a ceviche. EGGPLANT SCHNITZEL: the fried eggplant is so good and not over fried so the softness of the eggplant was retained. FROZEN PASSION FRUIT DAQUIRI: omg it was so good and refreshing, but hits you at the end! LOL Price rating: 8/10, it was not that bad for the price. The food was great. “Parking is horrible in this area so be prepared to spend some time looking for parking. It took us 30-45 mins to get parking.
Even the parking lot across the street was full.
Parking enforcement is constantly patrolling the area and in the parking lot.
Although the music was very loud, I loved the music they were playing. Old school salsa, cumbia and merengue.
There was a live DJ playing in the back.
In the front by the entrance where we were was the bar.
We were on a hightop table which personally, I do not like since I’m short.
The waitress did not stop to check on us and had to flag her so we could pay the bill and leave.“

“Would recommend the salmon tostada salad 👌 the salmon was a little tough to cut into, but still tasty.
I had the dressing mixed in, but I think I'll get it on the side next time. The leftovers became a mess like you'd expect, but it held up enough for a good breakfast.
The mint lemonade was great with the sqlad, I'd call the place chic and clean, and even my girlfriend liked the ambiance de café, and she's impossible ❤️
