“For a family Easter dinner on Saturday, April 12 we contacted Frank at Milano‘s for catering services and requested the homestyle lasagna plus chicken piccata mashed potatoes house salad with homemade dressing & dinner rolls with cheese and an assortment of cheesecakes. From start to finish and curb pick up, I and my family were thrilled with the quality of the food and timeliness. The lasagna was excellent. The chicken piccata was mouthwatering-great! Considering the current high cost of food that everyone in the USA is experiencing, WE got A LOT of food for the money. We appreciate that Frank Guagenti and his crew at Milanos continually provide excellence in regards to food prep and consistent in quality. Frank treats us like family. We appreciate it!”

“We went here yesterday for my brother-in-law's birthday and we had amazing service + delicious food. We got 2 sushi rolls and hibachi for 5 people. It was fast, fresh and hot 🔥 Godzilla and shrimp tempura rolls came out first and they were perfect. She didn't forget a single thing we asked for and consistently checked on us and refilled drinks. Also, aparently our server (who was one of the best I've ever had and we travel all over and have had many servers in our day and I was also a server myself for a few years) overheard us say it was his birthday and when we were all done at the end she surprised him with a Sundae with a candle 🕯️🥹🥲🎈🎂 Unfortunately I didn't catch her name but she deserves a raise!! She was immaculate. 10/10 service and food. We will be back. 🙏🏻🙏🏻”

“Liz was the most amazing! We called the day before asking if they could accommodate our group of 33 for the next night. She jumped right in with both feet and took care of us. The back party room was perfect! Liz was so welcoming. The rockstar of the night was our waiter, Chris! He took care of every one of us. Our food was perfect, the service could not be beat. Chris even made sure to take special care of my peanut allergy daughter by making sure her dessert plate did not come in contact with anything. We were not rushed and left feeling great. We loved it so much I called the next night after we finished our karate competition and Liz said “come on!” We were hoping we would get Chris again and we did! Second night was just as great as the first. The food came out so fast, hot, and delicious! Thank you, Liz, Chris and the other fantastic staff! “My husband and I stopped at Casa Lu AL 10/30 while we were on our way to another restaurant. Their exterior outdoor eating area looked cozy, and the large sign caught our eye.
The name sounded familiar, but I couldn't place why.
Once inside and admitting it was our first time here, the greeter at the front desk described the two levels and what they had to offer. Although the lively atmosphere at street level was really nice, we chose the downstairs, Nonno's Cellar. Walking down the beautiful and lit stairway was like walking into a different restaurant. The beautiful arches that were also lighted and cozy seating choices were absolutely thoughtful and lovely. The music that was playing perfectly completed the ambiance.

Our waitress, Sarah, was personable and helpful for our dinner selections.

We both love Caesar salads and were a bit disappointed in that not being available. However, we both had a terrific side salad with our meal.
My husband chose the Great Lakes walleye and said it was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor.
I had the fettuccine carbonara, and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't great either. There just wasn't much flavor to it. It was nice to have bread. However, it wasn't toasted or warmed up.

Between us, we had a red and white wine, a bourbon neat, and a cocktail. All were good and nice pours. Then we were greeted by Emily, who told me about a bourbon cocktail that sounded so good, I had to try it. After her suggestion, I can say I will definitely try a paper plane cocktail again! Thanks, Emily 🙂

Our visit overall was a wonderful experience. And we will definitely go back.

Once home, I started looking into Casa Lu Al and was able to jog my memory about why it sounded familiar. We had actually been before to the restaurant 4 years ago when they were located on the north side of Lima. I recall that our experience there wasn't a great one. We did not like the cramped, older interior. I can't recall much about the food we had, so it must not have been memorable.

If anyone has gotten this far in my long review, that has been to their previous location and wasn't a fan, all I can say is to make sure to try their new location. You will not be disappointed. They have definitely stepped up their game!

“Bestest Hershey's hard dip ice cream ever! With so many flavors to pick from. Some examples banana pudding, mint freckle, moose tracks, superman, cookie dough and so many more. I've been coming to Jerry's for over 20 years. It's a secret I am now willing to share with the world. Giant portion sizes on the ice cream too. Impressed me 20 some years ago and to this day! I was introduced to this place by one of my mentors in the EMS field while serving the community. A little convenience store selling some delicious deli "samviches" and ice cream. Yes! Yes, you should try the subs too.”

“Free parking easy check in. The facility is in good shape. No upgrades available sold out. The room was quiet however the refrigerator was full of food and drinks from previous guests bagged that up had to find a trash can downstairs to throw it all away. Small pool and workout area. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.”

“So you drive by a place for years and one day you think, "I'm gonna check that out." The "lunch" sign on High Street in Lima has always stood out and today I walked into Zinum 12 and it is HUGE! Three or four store fronts and a monstrous patio out back. Ryleigh the bartender is a good dude and recommended the guda Mac and cheese fries with sausage for lunch. Awesome choice! I'm not a bar guy much anymore but with a stage for live acts, cornhole, pool tables, multiple jengas and probably more, I am impressed. Another gem in the always improving downtown of Lima Ohio!”

“Lombardo’s is a Lima Musicians Institution where many many Lima musicians have played & broke bread. I spent my 1 to 9 years living with my grandparents about 200 yards from the parking lot of the bar. I had my first head shots taken sitting at the bar having a drink and smoking a cigarette 😆 phots that were taken by The Indoorfins (another local band) I am a creature of habit & nothing makes me happier than gathering at Lom’s the first Sunday of every month to celebrate “Blues Music” on the radio LIVE with Billy Elvis & 104.9 The Eagle. “Got to go. It's been a little while since I ate here. But it's my favorite Chinese in town. Today was exceptional. I order hot pepper chicken and egg roll. Comes with white rice. Rice was exceptional today. Not clumpy not dry. Was tender and moist. Seems like a few more onions and green onions than last couple visits. Only complaint. Egg roll is not fresh.
Fried up ahead of time. Today's visit was a pleasant suprise.”

“I stopped into Paddy's Mac, Lima's oldest Irish pub, for a bit of nostalgia last night since I haven't lived here in 20 years. One question came to mind: when did Paddy Mac's become the spot? It was absolutely packed in there.

The atmosphere was vibrant with a live band playing outside who were simply amazing. Inside, there was a jukebox and a .75 cent pool table, adding to the pub’s old-school charm. The large drafts, over 32 oz, were only $4, and the food prices looked like they were straight out of the 90s.

The highlight of the night was definitely the bartender, Summer. Even though she was working the bar by herself, she handled it like a seasoned pro, ensuring that no one had to wait long for their drinks. It might have been her 30th birthday, but she was serving like she had been behind the pine for 30 years.

Paddy's Mac has truly become a gem and I will definitely be back on my next trip home.”

“Bought the Monster Cookies, Chocolate Chip and Banana Cookies. They were delicious!! The Banana ones were like a slice of banana bread. Very moist and yummy. My husband really liked the chocolate chip ones. Unfortunately I got the last ones Joy had at the craft show, so I wasn’t able to get more of them. The Monster cookies were my favorite. My Mom bought the no bake cookies and said they were very good. Would recommend and would purchase again.”

“We came in today (2/26/2022) at 4:00 for a late lunch and it was absolutely slammed. Very busy. But despite it all, the entire staff was incredibly kind, went above and beyond for us, compensated for our wait without us saying anything about it, and stayed calm and collected, even with the large line of people. The quality of food was so good — everything was fresh and the dining/seating area was very clean! We were throughly impressed with Ashley and Alex especially! They’re warm and friendly attitudes made the visit beyond pleasant!”

“Love their food. It's hands down the best pizzeria in Lima. Those cinnamon sticks are to die for. They're supposed to be dessert but we eat them right away. Plus the price it's amazing too. I can get an 18in 2 topping pizza, cinnamon sticks, which is more like a small cake. A lasagna, and a 2 liter plus delivery for $40. You will pay that much for beer barrel alone and their sauce isn't sweet at all. Which is what I like. Everyone tht tries it loves it or else they're a jerk.”
