“We live across the street from Swiss Chalet in Ancaster and moved here two years ago. We planned to make good use of having such a renowned restaurant in such close proximity, but we’re very disappointed at first. The restaurant was constantly understaffed, ran out of product (ribs), short changed orders, and the manager was rude beyond belief. Last week, we gave the restaurant another try not expecting much, and we’re very pleasantly surprised. I asked the friendly and efficient waitress (Lori B) what had changed and she explained that a former manager had returned to the restaurant. The previous manager was fired. We noted that the atmosphere in the restaurant had improved. The food was great, nothing was missing as had previously constantly happened even with takeout orders, and the staff was accommodating and personable. Swiss Chalet was previously a last resort… Now it will be a first choice!“

“The service was amazing. Spence was attentive, friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for better. The supervisor and manager both came by and chatted too. The music and tvs seemed to be shouting over each other, though they did turn the tv down when we mentioned it. Food was good, not outstanding, with the exception of the burnt ends which were fabulous. The buttermilk chicken was dry.. Overall , an enjoyable occasion.“

Parking: Not sure how many spots, but not enough to fit, pickup and eat in customers, on a hour hour time, I had to park in gas station next door and walk across a hardly cleared snow covered parking lot, in minus 14 weather“

Service excellent, though you may wait for the cooked meals but worth the wait!
