“Yesternite ordered via Uber. The food is a solid 10/10 ! It’s really a gastronomic experience that delighted the mind and stomach. Pleased to say the prices were very reasonable, The kind of food you keep eating even after you’re full because it just tastes so good. Maybe I’m biased as I haven’t eaten heaps of Japanese but I have eaten a decent amount before and in comparison with equally or even more fancy high quality Japanese this was way much better. Looking forward to visit there soon.“

“A lunch experience to remember!My wife and I went to Sushi Gin to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful experience.  It was difficult to find a sushi restaurant that served lunch omakses so I’m lucky to have found Sushi Gin.  The décor, service, and food were all sublime and top notch.  We ordered the lunch Omakase which comes with 7 dishes.  Highlights were:Décor – Japanese minimalism / zen-like interior that was simple, orderly, uncluttered, and sleek.  There are no individual tables other than the wrap around table surrounding the sushi bar which makes for an intimate experience.  I loved the double-sided chop sticks, the cutlery, and the display of sushi knives just in front of us.Service – I must apologize for not asking for names but the servers were kind, knowledgeable, and eager to help.  Upon arrival, we were nicely greeted and taken to our seats.  They pulled out / pushed in our chairs and helped us put our coats on the back of the chairs.  Tea was always topped up before we needed to ask, dishes were explained, and were always there to answer questions of any nature.  I also noticed that our main server walked around and ensured that the utensils and chairs were perfectly aligned when not servicing the customers.  Top notch.  The same amazing service can be said for our chef who prepared each of the sushi related dishes right in front of us with his amazing skills.  He explained each piece of nigiri and answered all our questions with patience and experience.Food – All 7 courses were delicious.  The miso soup was light and seemed to have a fish type broth (very nice).  The salad was the right temperature (not overtly cold like other restaurants) and excellently paired with potato salad to give it a creamier texture.  The fried octopus appetizer was one of my favorites as it had perfect crispness and seasoned to perfection.  The Chawanmushi was a first for me and I loved it.  Besides the excellent taste, I also loved the small spoon that came with it.  As for the sushi, the chef expertly created 10 pieces of Nigiri one-by-one with some of the following fish: Kinmedai, kampachi, salmon, akami, otoro, and uni. The nigiri was paired with their house made picked ginger which was refreshing.  Loved how the chef brushed the house made soy sauce onto the sushi rice prior to serving them on our plates to ensure optimal soy sauce to rice ratio.  The hand roll was next and was filled with diced otoro - Yum! The dessert was Tamago and I enjoyed it quite a bit considering it wasn’t overtly sweet, like many are.  Finally, as a special surprise, they served us a delicious chocolate cake plus a cheesecake mousse.  Thank you for the kind birthday gesture.Upon leaving the restaurant, they helped with our chairs and coats again, while opening the doors for us on the way out.  Impeccable service and food Sushi Gin.  Thank you for a memorable omakase and we will be back!Dietary restrictions: Feel free to tell them about any dietary restrictions as they are very accommodating.“

“Went here for a second time and have to say it is a 10/10 spot for sushi.They've moved away from dine in but they still allow you to eat in on the takeout containers. Portions are great and quality is especially good.Music choices were also great!“

“This sushi joint truly lives up to its rating. Service is friendly and unrushed both over the phone for take out and in person. I simply have to tell them how many people and our preferences, and they will prepare exactly what you want. Their menu is simply a suggestion, you can ask for anything (sushi, lol).It's a bit more expensive but you truly, absolutely get what you pay for.There are other sushi places in the area with high rankings but Sushi Land blows them out of the water.“

“Freshest sushi in Vaughan. If you are a sashimi lover as well, this is the place to be. A lot of places serve sashimi bit, but this place is a proper sushi place with fresh delicious sashimi. The rolls are also one of our favorites . Always fresh !“

“Saw good reviews for Hug Sushi, so wanted to try and see if the reviews were accurate. In comparison to a few other AYCE places in the area I thought the quality of food was great. First, we were going to order al lacarte, but then decided we could try a few more items if we went AYCE. Portions were good, not too big either. Being AYCE, you can always order more if you want to. presentation was very good, see pictures below... yes, you do eat with your eyes first. If it does not look appetizing, you won't want to eat it. “TAKI JAPANESE CUISINE . . I was searching up omakase spots uptown and decided to try Taki for my birthday dinner. As soon as you step into the restaurant, it feels like you have been transported to Japan. We were greeted immediately and brought to the omakase room where we sat in front of the sushi chef. They have a $95 omakase dinner special which is the one we opted for. . $95 Omakase Dinner Special Appetizer set Osumashi soup Salmon Carpaccio Mushimomo 8pcs of sushi Hand roll (1) Umaki Dessert - Green tea pudding . . Everything was delicious, but the Toro sushi and green tea pudding dessert stood out the most. The texture and flavours were out of this world. Service was great. Our tea cups were never empty and dishes were brought out and cleared in a timely manner. We had a lovely time.“

“Perfectly cooked meat and flavourful veggies every time! We drive more than an hour back and forth just for the amazing food. I’ve tried a variety of dishes from the menu and they’re all so tasty. My favourite is the spicy pork on rice , and my picky child loves the Korean meatloaf. Highly recommend!!“

“On Family Day, it was my dad's birthday, so we decided to celebrate with his favorite dish, sashimi. Knowing that not everyone in our party enjoys raw fish, we ordered a variety of rolls to create a party tray for takeout. My dad, who is particularly discerning when it comes to sashimi, was impressed by the freshness of the fish. Seeing how much he enjoyed it, I realized that we should come here for sashimi more often with my dad. “This place has a lot of seatings and booth areas so you can have some privacy while dining. Extensive amount of food choices on the menu with decent prices. Ordered tempura vegetables and shrimp with 6 pieces total was only around $9. This tempura tasted truly delicious compared to other pricier restaurants! The whole staff greeted us the moment we came in with smile and felt their kindness/patience while we were looking through the menu. They were very accommodating with changing spicy salmon roll to dynamite roll in the dinner sushi sets for me since I don't eat spicy food. Other restaurants would always charge extra regardless if the price was the same or cheaper. The rice ratio for the rolls was PERFECT! Definitely the best one I've seen by far. I would love to try their signature rolls next time to see if they're the same. I would come here again for lunch and check them out. -1 star because: The sushi to rice ratio is a little too much so I had to take some off unfortunately. Also the salad that comes with the sets was bland, lettuce and 3 strings of beets.“

“The food is good. Unfortunately they fry everything including tempura bits and vegetable tempura in the same oil they fry the pork katsu in. So muslim and vegeterian can't eat there unless they don't care. Just wondering why they don't have a seperate fryer for tempura bits and vegetables.Vegetarian options: Need to have separate oil for vegetarian dishes.Dietary restrictions: As a muslim it is not possible to eat there specially that they use same fryer for tempura bits and vegetable tempura for pork meat. This applies to muslim Jews and vegetarians unless some don't care.“

“I went to Poong Moon with my elderly Korean parents recently. Initially I wasn’t sure whether we made a right choice given how it looked more like a pub/bar instead of a Korean-Chinese restaurant. But don’t look that fool you. The food was outstanding. My parents and I enjoyed it very much. The service was also great as well even though they were really busy. It’s too bad that we live in Montreal otherwise we would be here a lot more often.“

“Excellent ramen! Went in for dinner on a Sunday evening. The place was fairly busy. The ambience was inviting and the servers were attentive and prompt. “Absolutely WOW experience! For last couple of years that was the best restaurant celebration for us! And we celebrate something at least once a month. Food was fresh delicious, beautifully served. It came with rice and hot sauce on the side, so I was able to choose my own spice level.The menu stated that the dish came with miso soup and salad, but I was only given the soup. I asked the server, and she said that it didn't come with a salad, so there seems to be an error with the menu.Still, the food was great, and I would definitely recommend coming here if you're craving sushi!“
