“Food is amazing but service is not good at all.
I asked for any sort of sauce and they said they only have hot sauce, even though i’ve had sauces there before and no matter how many times i asled for it they said they don’t have it.
Eventually when i ordered some sort of fish they brought me a sauce with it and i just said i want more of this. Don’t know why they never bring you what you ask for and insist they don’t have it when they do !!!
But again quality of food is great they have just done a bad job with hiring people who are attentive .“

“We came to have dinner at this location and not only did we have delicious and fresh sushi but also, we were given a little treat at the end. It was so surprising, the girl at the front stated they dont give anything away but could see that I needed a picker-upper, and let me tell you she was and is so right. We were there due to having such a heavy and rough day that we didn't want to bother cooking. So we decided on sushi. Thank you to the young lady at the front, you made our evening. The young man with her was also was very sweet and so kind.

“Absolutely lovely small sushi place. Arrived at ~6:30pm and had a 20 minute wait for a table in their small dining room, and it was absolutely worth it. Fresh and super high quality sushi and the sashimi is flavourful and nicely thick cut, unlike many other sushi places that pad their combo sizes with thin sashimi cuts. Service was excellent and the environment was cozy yet still private.“

“Came here for my anniversary dinner and we had such an amazing experience. The staff were all very professional and friendly. The sushi chef was amazing as well! I can't take spicy foods so I always ask for no wasabi in my sushis, which he did and I really appreciated that. One of the sushi pieces had some Japanese spice on it, it was quite spicy for me but I didn't say anything, however he noticed and on another sushi piece that had the spice again, he omitted it for me which was very thoughtful. I would definitely come back and would love to try their lunch menu and sukiyaki menus too!“

“I almost don’t want to tell the public about how insanely good the sushi is here but out of respect to the owners, I must. Fresh sushi and Japanese owed which is hard to find in Toronto (mostly Korean owned). They import their Chu Toro Tuna from Japan and it is exquisite. This is a gem in Toronto, a must try.“

“Food is 10/10!! I went here for my birthday and had been eyeing the place before. The waitress was really accommodating and kind. I ordered the Salmon Combo. It comes with sashimi, nigiri and spicy salmon roll. I also ordered a spicy crab hand roll. The spice is real. I had to take a few moments before continuing. The combo comes with salad and miso soup which really helped with the spicy mayo. The sashimi was such a beautiful colour, you probably can’t tell because the camera washes it out. The sashimi is so buttery and just melts in your mouth. Presentation is 10/10. It was so worth it to come. Would 100% come back again.“

Tomo Japanese Restaurant was a great experience in terms of food, service, atmosphere, and above all safety for me and my son. I've been here many times. The atmosphere and service is good. The food used to be delicious, but over time, the food seems to be getting worse and worse. The last 2 visits, I had pork bento and mackerel miso bento, and it just wasn't delicious. My wife's tofu bento used to be good - thinly sliced and fried - but the most recent visit, it looked sloppy like they cut corners to cook it.“

“It’s a small sushi place that’s tucked in the corner. Parking was fine and we never have to wait too long to get a table. Prices are decent. The food comes quick but sometimes it doesn’t come at all. Because it’s so small it can get busy during dinner times. I wish they had more dessert selections.“

“I always come back for their Mulhoe (spicy cold raw fish soup) and hoedeopbap (spicy chirashi don with veggies). Especially the Mulhoe — it’s hard to find anywhere else at this value. It comes with so much fresh seafood, including sashimi and squid. I always add the thin noodles for $3. Highly recommend!“

There was only counter option available which happens to be my preference as I feel it's more suitable with the omakase experience. We had the Obsession Perfection. It was great. The staff was very knowledgeable with the food and sake options and very attentive. Overall great experience and definitely will go again. Reduced one star at the atmosphere was because a group of people was quite loud with the head Chef, it's understandable as everyone was having a great time, not a big deal, but just not what I like as part of Micheline Omakase experience.“

“The restaurant, service and food at this restaurant was good. However the only downside is that the customers are literally asked to pay a tip. During this difficult period of the pandemic, it is hard to leave a tip. It should be optional but if you do not tip, you are sort of asked "why no tip". This becomes odd and the customer should be given the discretion to tip. This is the reason, I am giving 4 stars to this restaurant.“

“I am a big sushi lover and have been to many Japanese restaurants and take out places everywhere. I am so confident to say , Noah kosher sushi has been the best one so far. I am not kosher or Jewish but if I were to have sushi, this is the place to go. Their ingredients are very fresh ( omg i wonder where they get their avocados.... The most creamy and so flavorful avocados ever !!) , sometimes make me wonder if theyd make any profits cause their ingredients and qualities of foods are outstanding! “I came here for lunch with my coworkers and we shared a tasting box plus a few rolls on the side.

I don’t eat cucumber, so I specifically asked for no cucumber in our order and was told it could be swapped with avocado, which I really appreciated.

We were also informed it would take about 20 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 40–45 minutes due to the lunchtime rush. Totally understandable though, and the manager was very apologetic and even gave us a $5 coupon for our next visit along with our box.

When the food arrived, the presentation of the tasting box was absolutely WOW.. it was so beautifully done. We were honestly just too hungry at that point to admire it for long.

Unfortunately, I noticed the first roll I picked still had cucumber in it, and when we flagged it, the staff immediately looked into it. It turned out there was a miscommunication about the substitution, and most of the rolls in the box had cucumber. The manager personally came over, apologized, explained everything, and immediately took care of it by offering to remake the box without cucumber and providing a full refund, which really went above and beyond.

Despite the hiccup, the service and care from the team really stood out. Mistakes happen, especially during busy lunch hours, but the way the team responded made a big difference. I’d definitely come back again.“
