“For the price, their all you can eat is pretty decent. Fish is always fresh and their tempura isn't soggy. Overall a good, economical experience.Edit 2/11: The last couple of times I've been here, feels like the quality of the food is going down. The California roll has a weird after taste and the scallops didn't seem fresh either.“

We would definitely recommend this place and would return again for delicious dim sum and sushi :)Parking: It's situated in the plaza with ample parking options!“

“We booked this place as we love the Kinki Original spot in downtown Toronto. We expected the menu to be same but it was quite different but we had a great time here as well. We had dinner a few weeks ago at Kinka Sushi Bar and the food was amazing! The service from the young lady was great as well (Gigi). We tried various different sushi rolls and other shareable items. Also tried the beef bibimbap. The place was busy for a weekday evening. We also tried some cocktails and the sake cocktail was a hit. Definitely recommend folks to try this restaurant.P.S. The restaurant allowed me to bring a cake for my wife’s birthday and we enjoyed her special bday dinner.“

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Our five-year-old daughter spotted the place; so on a whim we tried it, and we love it. Now we come as a family all the time. There is such a wide variety of food choices, everything is so tasty. Little Kamaria’s favourite is the Seafood Bat Pizza, I can’t get enough of the Korean wings. Mom loves their unique take on Nachos. Each visit we’ll try another new dish! The staff are super friendly too.“

“Best sushi I’ve ever had! So, so good! Fresh, tasty, premium. The exceptional experience starts with the packaging. Just a really sleek presentation box and organization of the sushi, wasabi, soy and ginger. Even the chopsticks were better quality than what you usually get. Will definitely be back to order more!“

“The sushi rice is seasoned with red vinegar, and the medium fatty tuna, fatty tuna, scallops, sea urchin, and minced tuna hand rolls are all incredibly stunning! The chef emphasizes the use of Japanese-imported rice and fish for both sushi and sashimi, ensuring everything is exceptionally fresh! Moreover, their homemade pickled ginger is absolutely delightful. It’s not overly pungent like typical ones, and the sweetness is perfectly balanced! Highly recommend sushi gin?“

“There food is delicious! My favorite is the Sukiyaki wafu. It seemed weird ordering a pasta at a Japanese restaurant but it's fushion and so good that I get cravings all the time. There sushi tacos are also really good. It's wrapped in tempura dipped seaweed, which I wish I could recreate at home. The price is expensive so I don't get it as often as I would like, but it's totally worth the price.“

“Value for money is decent, with sushi flavors being around average. Overall, the taste is pretty fresh, but the sea urchin was slightly off. Crazy Girl sushi dish taste great, but the flame seemed more decorative than practical. Sadly, the lobster tempura lacked any actual lobster meat.“

“Went here for a second time and have to say it is a 10/10 spot for sushi. They've moved away from dine in but they still allow you to eat in on the takeout containers. Portions are great and quality is especially good.Music choices were also great!“

“This sushi joint truly lives up to its rating. Service is friendly and unrushed both over the phone for take out and in person. I simply have to tell them how many people and our preferences, and they will prepare exactly what you want. Their menu is simply a suggestion, you can ask for anything (sushi, lol). It's a bit more expensive but you truly, absolutely get what you pay for. There are other sushi places in the area with high rankings but Sushi Land blows them out of the water.“

“Came late on a Monday night. I wanted to try this place out. Ive tried the other location in richmond hill.Ill say this place is solid for sushi. Today was a trial because I needed to buy platters of sushi and wanted to scope it out before putting a new order. $15.99 for 3 rolls (1 premium and 2 regular maki) good deal tbh.I ordered red dragon roll, spicy scallop, and spicy tuna. Just tried them and I'd rate it good for flavours. Ratio of rice to filling is very good too!“

“Located inside Empress Walk on the second floor, always wanted to see how it stacked up to Gyubee. We were charged holiday price for Easter Monday lunch, which came out to about $40 each after tax and tip.Food was pretty good overall. Our group really enjoyed the miso marinated kalbi short rib and ordered a lot of it. The kimchi here is pretty good, but the bibimbap isn't as good. Also don't love that you have to pick between soft serve or melona for dessert. Service was decent, the staff were pretty attentive about grill changes but not so much about removing empty dishes from our table. One thing we didn't love was we ordered chicken thighs and when it came, it was mixed in the same plate with other meats like beef and sausage. Just better in my opinion to separate them to reduce the risk of getting sick.“

“I recently dined at Akane Sushi Ichiban, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was filled with a happy, homey vibe that made us feel right at ease. The restaurant was alive with the sound of patrons enjoying their meals, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Now, let's talk about the food. The red dragon roll and black dragon roll were both exquisite, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The shrimp tempura was perfectly crispy, and the salmon, white tuna, and hamachi sashimi were incredibly fresh and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Each dish was a testament to the skill and dedication of the chefs at Akane Sushi Ichiban. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a refreshing house sake that perfectly complemented the flavors of the sushi. But what truly stood out were the people working at the restaurant. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional dining experience. The chef even surprised us with extra servings and complimentary soup, which was a delightful touch that made us feel like valued guests.Overall, I can't recommend Akane Sushi Ichiban highly enough. If you're looking for delicious sushi in a cozy atmosphere with outstanding service, this is the place to be!“

Their constant check-ins ensured that we had everything we needed, from the freshest ingredients to the flavorful broths and condiments. The quality of the ingredients provided for the shabu shabu was outstanding. “Honestly the best sushi places I’ve ever gone. I’m not much of a sushi lover, I go to the occasional Japanese restaurant and get maybe a couple of pieces but they never really fit my palette. Like places like Ichiban, or Sushi Moto, etc were never really interesting. But after discovering this absolute whole in the wall I can’t stop eating. As I’m writing this in the past 24 hours I’ve basically eaten half a platter of their sushi completely on my own. The staff are all amazing people always having an amazing time and really make you feel included and appreciated as a customer. I now go on an almost daily to weekly basis and always order the spicy or the creamy crab rolls exclusively but their huge platters are amazing for parties and gatherings. If you want amazing sushi and the fun and humour from a hibachi restaurant go to VIP sushi they’re cheaper and the experience is way betterDietary restrictions: They’re very accommodating always doing what they can to make sure I eat what I can and exclude everything I can’tKid-friendliness: The staff are always friendly and treat children with the utmost care always saying hi and waving and making them feel comfortable in the busy environment. Earlier today a customer had come in with their shh daughter and by the time the sushi was ready the little girl was sad to leave as all the staff had made such a fun environmentWheelchair accessibility: Door may not fit a wheelchair but they will walk out and hand you your order or do what they can to accommodate you the best they can“

“TAKI JAPANESE CUISINE . . I was searching up omakase spots uptown and decided to try Taki for my birthday dinner. As soon as you step into the restaurant, it feels like you have been transported to Japan. We were greeted immediately and brought to the omakase room where we sat in front of the sushi chef. They have a $95 omakase dinner special which is the one we opted for. . $95 Omakase Dinner Special Appetizer set Osumashi soup Salmon Carpaccio Mushimomo 8pcs of sushi Hand roll (1) Umaki Dessert - Green tea pudding . . Everything was delicious, but the Toro sushi and green tea pudding dessert stood out the most. The texture and flavours were out of this world. Service was great. “Hidden Gem: Authentic Sushi Delight"Tucked away on a quiet street, this small mom and pop sushi joint is a true hidden gem. My friend and I popped in for lunch on a weekday, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. The menu offered a variety of options, and we decided to mix and match with some a la carte selections. Let me tell you, each and every dish was a delight for the taste buds. The sushi rolls were expertly crafted, bursting with freshness and flavor. Every bite was a testament to the skill and dedication of the chefs. But it wasn't just the sushi that impressed us. The sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, showcasing the quality of the seafood. Each slice was so fresh, it practically tasted like it had just been plucked from the ocean. And let's talk about the service. Despite being a small establishment, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. From their warm welcome to their attentive care throughout the meal, we felt truly valued as customers. In a world of flashy, overpriced sushi chains, this mom and pop joint is a breath of fresh air. If you're craving authentic, delicious sushi served with a side of genuine hospitality, look no further. This place is a must-visit for any sushi lover looking to indulge in a truly satisfying culinary experience.“

“Honest to God, I have been going to all you can eat sushi for about 15 years and this is one of the best locations that I have ever been to. Both the bathroom was clean and so was the restaurant. But my favorite for sure was the Fried milk Dessert and the muscles and the egg and the shrimp tempura and the green tea ice cream.“

“I went to Poong Moon with my elderly Korean parents recently. Initially I wasn’t sure whether we made a right choice given how it looked more like a pub/bar instead of a Korean-Chinese restaurant. But don’t look that fool you. The food was outstanding. My parents and I enjoyed it very much. The service was also great as well even though they were really busy. It’s too bad that we live in Montreal otherwise we would be here a lot more often.“

“Yesternite ordered via Uber. The food is a solid 10/10 ! It’s really a gastronomic experience that delighted the mind and stomach. Pleased to say the prices were very reasonable, The kind of food you keep eating even after you’re full because it just tastes so good. Maybe I’m biased as I haven’t eaten heaps of Japanese but I have eaten a decent amount before and in comparison with equally or even more fancy high quality Japanese this was way much better. Looking forward to visit there soon.“

“Feeling pretty stupid as I've lived in the area for a few years now but only tried this place today. Whenever I walk by it always seems pretty quiet, but with an experience like this I hope it gets more business! We ordered two of the sushi/sashimi dinner combos (B and C) and both were delicious. Generous portions of fish and it all tasted fresh. I think they even gave a few extra pieces of sashimi. The salad and soup were also both nice.Service was great. Everyone here is really friendly and nice.Atmosphere definitely catered to my tastes, which was classic rock music and they turned the hockey game on the TV ?. Will be back for sure! Also shares a name with one of the best anime characters ever ?“

“Great food and atmosphere!I ordered the Hwe Dup Bap, which was really good and had lots of fish. It came with rice and hot sauce on the side, so I was able to choose my own spice level. The menu stated that the dish came with miso soup and salad, but I was only given the soup. I asked the server, and she said that it didn't come with a salad, so there seems to be an error with the menu.Still, the food was great, and I would definitely recommend coming here if you're craving sushi!“

“The food is delicious and reminded me of when I was living in Japan, when they give you so many little side dishes with your main dish. I got the mackerel bento (in the $31 4 course dinner meal) and it was so good, although I didn't realize it would have so many bones so it was a bit inconvenient to eat. Definitely recommend this place, for the food, vibes (lots of good edm on the sound system), and service. And for the price, it's so worth it. Most of the entrees were $15 or less!“

“I think it has one of the best sushi. The thing that is more important to me than the food is the very respectful behavior of the staff with the customers and especially the children. My daughter was very excited and this made her eat her food with pleasure and excitement. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends who love sushi???“
