“I came here with a friend for Summerlicious. The three-course menu was quite limited, with only three options for each course. The cucumber shrimp toast was good, but the salad was too bitter for us. Our waiter noticed we didn’t finish it and kindly replaced it with the watermelon soup, which was refreshing but not really to my taste.

For the mains, we tried the braised beef and chicken. The beef had a strong wine flavour and tasted very salty and bitter, so the savoury dishes were just okay overall. I was a little disappointed because I expected the Summerlicious menu to showcase some of the restaurant’s best dishes. The desserts weredefinitely the highlight: the passion fruit tart and strawberry panna cotta were both delicious. The service was excellent, and our waiter was very kind and attentive!“

The highlight for me was definitely the raw bar — everything tasted incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The oysters were briny and clean, and the seafood dishes were prepared with great attention to detail. Service was warm, attentive, and never rushed.

Lucie strikes a nice balance between refined dining and a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for a Michelin-recognized spot in Toronto with excellent seafood and a great wine program, this is definitely worth a visit.“

“I was really blown away by this place. The food was incredibly delicious at a very reasonable price for what you are getting which is rare to say for a steakhouse. When compared to say the keg you are paying about the same price for food that is way tastier and a better portion. Will try out some other things the next time I come besides the steak/cordon bleu as there seems to be many offerings on the menu. Also our server was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to please, making the experience that much better. Would recommend to anyone looking for a hidden gem.“

They come in generous portions as well. If you go with a big group I suggest sharing a French Toast with the table and also their brunch savory options.“

“Throughout the years, this is a go-to spot for us for inventive dishes, thought provoking wine pairings, and impeccably attentive service that amplifies the quality time with the people we are there with. It's maintained that high quality, foodie vibe, without losing its neighbourhood centric, best-kept-secret charm. How they did this while moving from Parkdale and overcoming a fire, I'll never know. Please go. Of note, they have always been incredibly detail-oriented and consistent with attending to my guy's anaphylactic dairy allergy. Spectacular, considering it's French cuisine origins. “After over 12 years of bringing almost every friend I have to BC, I finally got to celebrate my August birthday in the restaurant( which is usually closed in August) with 19 guests. From the organization to the execution, the evening was superlative. Maya and Hiro know how to be professional, fun, flexible and outstanding! “Went here for Valentine’s Day with my husband. The staff and servers were fantastic. There was limited seating so we had to sit beside another couple. As this was not ideal on Valentine’s Day, it didn’t take away from our experience too much.

We paid for a 5 course dinner. This was an overkill in my opinion as we had two mains, chicken with potatoes, and filet mignon with veggies. The former was a little dry in my opinion and the later was cooked perfectly but nothing wow. I wish I had the filet mignon before the chicken. I believe I would have appreciated it more. The apps and dessert were my favourite - caprese salad, lobster bisque, and crème brûle.

This was great to experience once. I’ll definitely try different locations abroad and pick less items.“

“We had our first dinner at Maison T on June 25. The food was excellent (short ribs and duck breast were our mains). The service was attentive, prompt and very personalized (our son and daughter-in-law were with us and had dined there for their anniversary). Kudos to the excellent chef and Carolina.“

“We got the rack of lamb "cook it yourself" kit on Friday; with the sides it's an amazing value and made an absolutely superb dinner. There was an error in my order, (understandable at 7 pm on a Friday) but the team went the extra mile to make it right. I highly recommend their meals for takeout, and I'm really looking forward to dining in on their extended menu when the lockdown is over.“

“Great food! We visited for the summerlicious brunch and unfortunately the salmon burger sold out! For ordering, the waitress took a very long time to check-in for our order, drinks, payment. Submitted our food right away leaving no room for trying something else as we had questions for which salad we wanted. Food was great and came out swiftly - tasty too! “The dishes we had were great. Delicious flavors. Only critique was the fritters that were hard round balls than normal fritters, but minor compared to the overall meal. Everyone was professional and a very nice atmosphere. Expect a very loud environment with the DJ playing good music.“

They have a lovely assortment of cookies candies cheese foie gras and condiments from France.
They even had pastries to go!
I saw they carry the hot chocolate from Angelina’s in Paris to take home as well.

“Cute decor in every detail. Staff is proud of their products. Well curated menu. The only issue was (I should have mentioned to them in person) one of the dish was overly salty. I didn’t wanna waste food so I finished it but the table next to us left more than half a plate (so I knew it wasn’t just me). Nonetheless I enjoyed their July menu and will visit again.“

“I occasionally order the blackened branzino to go and through various delivery apps when I’m too lazy to cook at home. Avant Gout has some great picks especially when you’re not sure what you’re in the mood for. The branzino is cooked to perfection, nice sauce on the base, roasted potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Interior of the restaurant is a little out dated however it doesn’t take away from the good food they serve.

I’ll continue joining them, as it’s consistent and healthy compared to other options out there. Little on the pricy side.“

Steak was perfectly cooked and juicy. Wings hit the spot and the calamari friti hits without heavy oil.

“Perfect spot to bring a first date, order a few things and share. I was so impressed with the flavours of the food, the yellowfin tuna Crudou was 10/10, the beef tartar, another 10/10, the halibut 8/10, French onion soup was a seven out of 10 but still enjoyable. The atmosphere is great low-key everyone doing their own thing at their table…. waitress amazing food was so good I forgot to even take 1 picture, it was beautifully plated. I was too busy eating, so sorry. I only have this photo of what was left.“

“Valeriia, I want to thank you for a perfect evening on May 2nd. You made it easy for me pre-event, in terms of your help with planning. You answered my questions as we went along and provided good advice. The event itself was a huge success. The staff were excellent in terms of knowing when to bring out food, when to pass it and when to place it on the buffet table. Staff kept the gluten free food separate which made it easy for guests to find it - you even placed the gluten free cards I had brought. Beverage service was professional and the wines Valeriia selected were enjoyed by all. I had one guest with some very specific dietary requirements and Chef made a small plate for her which was ready when she arrived which was very much appreciated. The guests commented on the quality of the food and staff. Several people said that they would now come back to Le Select for dinners. I would strongly recommend Le Select for events.“

“I found this place while accompanying my Mom to appointments at nearby Women’s College Hospital. A real gem. Good food and coffee and a good amount of seating. Great selection of teas. I especially recommend it to people visiting the hospital since the hospital food court closes fairly early; grab a snack and a drink and bring it over. It even opens early on weekends, for which I am *very* grateful. I will make a point of stopping by in the future!“

“Not a bad note at any time. Monica is a very good server who is knowledgeable, engaging but not smothering. There when needed. The food is inventive and so tasty. Small bites. Two of us ordered five dishes and loved them all. The sommelier, Tessa, makes an amazing Arancello (better than Limoncello)! Her wine list is interesting and extensive, covering most types and regions, but we would have liked more bottles from Ontario, although the ones provided are all really good. We shall be back.“

“This is a nice upscale neighbourhood coffee shop, they have amazing coffee, delicious pastries and scrumptious cakes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I make sure to stop by whenever I’m in the area.“

“My husband and I stopped in at Au Pain Doré a few days ago after a morning of wandering around downtown Toronto, and we were so glad we did. The almond croissant I had was absolutely flaky and buttery, exactly the kind of thing you hope for but rarely find. The staff were warm and patient with us while we took our time deciding, which we really appreciated. We will definitely be making this a regular stop whenever we visit the city again.“
