The staff were very courteous, and very hospitable and the food was excellent. A wonderful menu and all the food we had was top class. I would highly recommend this restaurant. They changed the chips 😞. Please tell me this was a one-off and you've already gone back to the previous chips, which were always proper. These ones were obviously manufactured and cooked from frozen, with some sort of 'crispy coating' on them. Not entirely bad, but not right. Captain John has been our reliable go-to for years now, with consistently fresh tasting fish, crispy batter, and (until now) a generous portion of chips cut from fresh potatoes. Delivery is fast, the food is still piping hot on arrival, and it's packed in carboard and paper so everything stays crispy.... I might give one more try but if the chips are still the new and NOT improved ones, I'm not sure I'll continue ordering from here.“

I called for a reservation for my girl's birthday a week in advance and the owner remembered without me saying a word when we arrived. At the end he brought her a complimentary delicious French vanilla ice cream topped with a macaron and raspberries filled with caramel. That's world class. As for the main meal, we ordered crab cakes, scallops, and I had the ribeye and she had the striploin. It was cooked exactly the way we love it and the beef quality is absolutely fantastic. The Chilean wine we had with it was fantastic. My desert was a warm pecan pie a la mode. Just delicious. This is the kind of place you would want to be at for a special birthday. We will 100% be back. Service like this isn't common in Toronto and I think you will enjoy it as much as we did.“

I ordered the King Crab boil with extras and initially the order was cancelled but they called me IMMEDIATELY to advise they had only one king crab left but would substitute it with snow crabs. Utterly friendly and courteous is an understatement! Best customer service. We got the food delivered in less time than anticipated, and the packaging was insanely proper. No spillage, good containers! The restaurant called me almost immediately after the food was delivered to find out if everything was good! My heart melted and I couldn't thank them enough for making this dinner so special The taste of the food OMG no no words in the English language can deserve it! “Had a wonderful family dinner last night at Full Yuan Restaurant in Scarborough to pre-celebrate my auntie’s birthday, and it honestly could not have been a better choice.

From the moment we sat down, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and super patient — exactly what you hope for when dining with a big family. The dishes came out hot, flavourful, and beautifully portioned. Every plate tasted like real home-style comfort done right.

“Jonny the waiter was not only attentive, but also so catering to the needs of our group. He made sure our drinks were always topped up during the live band also while caring for a full out door patio. Matty in the back who carried out my steak did an incredible job not only was it cooked to satisfactory but it was above and beyond what my expectations were I had the best experience I could have asked for and would recommend to anyone i possibly could.

The sweet and sour pork is always good, as is the crispy skin chicken dish pictured here. I like that they use a candle so that you can keep the tea warmer. Dim sum is pretty good too, though it can get quite busy at peak hours.“

“I've been to Yu Seafood Yorkdale several times. An upscaled restaurant near all the high-end retailers. I bought my nephew here during his business trip and everything is good, and the bill was paid without going through the details. Not until I got home and found out one of the dishes was missed out from the dinner set for six. I called the restaurant the next day and the general manager Neilson responded promptly. It could be a human error and promised to compensate on my next visit. Having said that Yu is a great place to enjoy dinner or lunch despite of the mistake they have made on my last visit.“

“This has to be one of the best stops for Fish & Chips in the city. I had one piece of halibut and chips. It was a very large portion of fish - which justified the higher price for the meal. I certainly felt that I had received good value. It was not over battered and it was still light and crispy. I asked for well done chips and that's exactly how they came. “One of the cleanest washrooms I’ve ever seen in a restaurant, which immediately stood out. The milky broths are rich, fragrant, and very comforting. I especially loved the coconut milk broth. The desserts were also great, and it was a nice surprise to see matcha ice cream on tap. They’ve now switched to an all-you-can-eat format instead of ordering items separately like before, which makes the experience even better. The owner acts like he's untouchable and says things like " you're in a bar what do you expect " . I expect to be treated as a paying customer.
