“Early lunch with friends and this was our first time here. The food and service were both excellent. Homemade gnocchi was delicious and friends that ordered the chicken Marsala also enjoyed their meals. Sebastian was a delightful host. Cozy and warm with delightful jazz standards playing at a reasonable level allowed for easy conversation.“

“In a restaurant world dressed up with disingenuous marketing JOEY Yorkdale offers you a magnificent spot outside downtown Toronto that delivers what it promises on their home page, “Our guests, new or old, are not treated just as guests, but as if they are a good friend we are catching up with.” And this was the experience for me and my two close chums who selected this spot primarily because it was the midpoint between our diverse locations. From first arriving, the hostess took the time to offer a complimentary champagne glass and inquire if our visit that day was for a special occasion. It was a reunion and she graciously followed up with pleasant comments establishing a charming mood. When the waitress came to greet us, she also took the time to find out more about the nature of our reunion and only then flawlessly delved into the menu. I understand this is common practice at luxury restaurants; however, I would contend that, although there are dining establishments that treat patrons similarly, it is not simply about what you do but, rather, how well you do it. And this is the reason I am taking the time to write this review: JOEY does it very well. Having frequented several luxury restaurants in downtown Toronto I can anecdotally share with you that there have been far too many occasions when the host and/or server left a poor impression. Whether it is conceited complacency in their brand or even our own bigotry of unrealistic expectations, there seldom is a meeting point of both food, service, and overall impression. The treatment at JOEY was so genuine that it left an indelible impression. Each interaction with the server and hostess throughout complemented our dining experience. We were then surprised with dessert on the house presented on an expansive serving plate with the words “Happy Reunion!” written in caramel. Delicious, delicious caramel. Mmmm, but I digress… Over the years I have written to restaurants far more complaints than compliments and, in retrospect, this is unfair. It takes a team and a culture to create this magic and it can be quite challenging to get it right. When it comes together as well as it did on our visit, it is the sort of joy that can accompany you throughout your day. At JOEY they seem to have captured the right formula and I look forward to returning and catching up with “good friends” that understand that going out to eat today is about so much more.“

“Not truly wheelchair accessible. I was very much looking forward to dining here. After reading some of the other comments in the question section, we called to confirm the extent to which they are wheelchair accessible. Utterly disappointed to find out that although they have a ramp, the only accessible dining areas are if you're with one of the large groups. Meaning that as an individual with accessibility needs, I was excluded from dining at this restaurant. My accessibility needs are temporary, however you can guarantee I won't be dining at this restaurant even when I'm able to walk again, until they rectify this situation. Inexcusable to exclude people with mobility needs in this day and age.“

“A very cosy uptown restaurant ! I have been several times over the years and it never disappoints. Was there again last night and have to say the veal scallopini was excellent. It was a tough choice as there are so many delicious things on the menu. The friendly and excellent service, food and ambiance was perfect. A big thank you to the staff for such an enjoyable evening. “We truly enjoyed a leisurely lunch today at Kelsey's Richmond Hill. We need to give a lot of the credit and thanks to our server, Sarah, who was always there when we needed her. She provided us with some excellent suggestions for food and drinks as well as impeccable service coming from a warm and friendly person. While my wife was thoroughly enjoying a cup of tea and a hearty soup with salad and a sandwich, I was just beside myself with every bite of the mushroom melt burger. The burger and fries were prepared and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend that you try this burger, especially if you love mushrooms. Treat yourself. I was also introduced to a delicious refreshing beer called Muskoka Pineapple Ninja. I've never seen it before and it appears that if I can't find anywhere else I'll have to go back. All in all, this was a perfect afternoon. Also, we have promised ourselves that we are going to do this again next week.“

“Great location and the food was made and cooked perfectly. As always got the four cheese spinach dip and hubby and me decided on burgers. Both were cooked and plated to perfection. Fries are a nice thick cut fry and cooked decently, but I would ask for well done next time as I prefer my fries a bit more crispy. Our server could of replenished our drinks before we finished eating, but it wasnt the end of the world. Just decided to not buy an additional round of drinks as we were pretty much done eating. As a customer thats okay, as a business owner they missed out on the upsale of a second round.“

“What a divine evening at the Seasons restaurant in the newly - named Pan Pacific Hotel. The spacious, beautifully - appointed dining room with white table linens and exquisite glassware was set in a high - ceilinged environment. This ambience provided comfort and elegance. We were welcomed and offered our choice of seating which included our quiet booth near a modern encased fireplace. Our velvety smooth mushroom soup with oil infusion was an excellent beginning to this celebratory dinner. Our moist ,glazed turkey and cranberry stuffing were adorned with mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and brussel sprouts. Berry compote with creamy vanilla ice cream topped this delicious dinner. The waitress made this festive holiday meal a celebration to remember !“

“This is a MUST GO TO Restaurant. I went for breakfast on March 20/23. My experience started with the best service from General Manager Gary Anthony. He was friendly, informative, and fast. The breakfast menu has everything. I love Eggs Bennie. While my style was not on the menu, Gary made it happen anyway. THE BEST EGGS BENNIE EVER! Gary recommended the Banana/Orange/Strawberry juice (it says fresh on the menu). I asked if it was "that grocery store brand" that shall not be named here. He said NO, we made it fresh from real fruit in the blender. It was like a smoothie from heaven. I will return often. While I live about 30 - 40 k from this restaurant (I had an appointment near it that morning) - I will be returning again and often. Next time I'm bringing my wife - She'll love it. Thank you Gary.“

“My friend and I often go for breakfast on Friday mornings to the Sunset Grill. The service is always fast accurate and friendly. On our last visit, we had a lovely waitress named Allie, who took care of our order. During our visit she was especially attentive and returned to refill our coffee and asked how our food was as well as if she could bring HP sauce or hot sauce. It’s unusual to enjoy such superb service! We have found that the food is always delicious and prepared with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend this location.“

Rude staff and an even more rude owner... don't bother complaining about anything because you're just going to get cussed at... absolutely appalling behavior... the usual crowd are loud obnoxious and seriously over their limits. I've witnessed tables and chairs falling all over the place on many occasions because people are way too intoxicated to think. The owner acts like he's untouchable and says things like " you're in a bar what do you expect " . I expect to be treated as a paying customer. Never going there again. also... one of the servers is literally always drunk out of her mind... my very first visit she was crying about her ex... and almost every time I ordered wings SHE GOT MY ORDER WRONG....over and over again!! let's just say ive had many free wings and stuff from her as an apology... I gave them a chance. several actually. but after that conversation with the owner.... im done. DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!“

“My family went at Kelsey’s for lunch last Friday and the service was amazing. We had a issue with our daughter’s usual order and she wanted MAC & cheese with something else so they went to ask the owner (Steve) and he came to our table and he resolved our issue and explained to us what my daughter can order with the mac & cheese and he was very polite and kind to us and continuously kept checking on us at our table to make everything is great with us and our order. I will also like to thank Dave and Shafik as well for going the extra mile to solve our issue by getting the right person to help us. We always come to Kelsey’s if we are going out for dinner or to celebrate something and each time the service and food are always excellent and I would recommend others to experience Kelsey’s food and services. “It was my first time there, as I am not from Scarborough, but met my friend who lives nearby. We both had the peameal bacon breakfast. It said 8 oz. of peameal served. It came with 4 super thick slices. I'm thinking more like 10 oz. minimum!!! Potatoes were grilled, not deep fried, and my eggs were perfect!!!! Great server!!!!! I will go there again just for a road trip!!! One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I highly recommend!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+!!!!!!“

“Food, service and atmosphere is consistent. I believe the menu changed a few years back and for the better. The food and drinks here are delicious. The prices are bit on the higher side if you are on a budget or have a larget family. Lots of free parking. Nice, spacious, cozy patio. TVs by the bar area to watch sporting events. The staff overall is friendly. It's a great local, quick-bite, go to place after work in Richmond Hill. Very relaxed ambient.“

“The Service was great but I will never order the pancakes from them again, I was undercooked and dorothy on the inside. I told our waitress and they brought me a new one and It's same thing, either they don't communicate with the kitchen or the people who cook the pancakes just don't care. Eventhough the waitress has rectify the issue and asked me if I want to order something else but everyone already finished eating so end up didn't get to eat.“

“This is my go-to joint for when I am craving Chinese food. Food is always fresh and flavorful. Always ready within minutes of ordering. Love their har gow, thai vermicelli chicken, beef flat rice noodles, spicy chicken, mango chicken, fried rice and spring/egg rolls. Also the owner is super sweet and packs chili oil for me every time, as she knows I love it with my food. :)“

“I have stayed at the Novotel multiple times over the past 6 years. While the food and drinks are what you would expect and are still great, the service has always been outstanding. Specifically if you get the chance to meet Ghnet at night in the bar or Adam on breakfast service. They just know how to treat people and are a factor in staying at the Novotel when I come to town.
