“Let me just start by saying that it is hard to impress this Missouri boy with BBQ! The pulled pork sandwich was excellent (though a bit salty) and the sauce tangy. The Mac and cheese was excellent as was the Apple coleslaw.

I ordered at the First Friday event in Milwaukie. Only thing I’d ask is maybe a choice between pulled pork and brisket.“

“We went last night (not our first time and definitely not the last) and had a truly great time. Our toddler LOVED the play area they have set up for kids, which made waiting for food so much easier. You guys have my loyalty for that alone, but the food is INCREDIBLE. We got the family platter and were able to share between 4 adults with tons left over to take home. The baby back ribs were phenomenal and the brisket just melts in your mouth. Mashed potatoes are creamy and delicious, the potato salad is just right, and we tried both kinds of slaw — the cranberry is good but the OG is my favorite. Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, dining area is well spaced, and the staff is always friendly. Service was a little bit slow, but in a small business on a Saturday night kind of way, not in a people aren’t doing their jobs kind of way. They also have hard to find soft serve ice cream. And unique and delicious sundaes! Kids and adults love um!

The menu is interesting - with mostly comfort food and sides with a touch of a coastal town style (Rockfish sandwich, chowder and sometimes a Po’ Boy). Nice looking Brunch! Plus sandwiches, salads, sides and soups. The quality is pretty high here and the service is very friendly. Recommended!“

It takes a lot of faith to open up a new venture at any time and especially now. This is a chain and the owner is local. We tried the brisket, pulled pork and spare ribs. All had good flavor and were very tender. The ribs had a nice smoke ring and were falling off the bone. All the sides were good except we didn't love the beans. I liked the potato casserole (basically loaded mashed potatoes) and the cabbage slaw was like what you get it KFC or Safeway deli but not as sweet. We tried 3 sauces - Classic, Carolina and Sweet. Enjoyed all of them. They run a $12.99 special of the day that rotates and offer a free kids meal on Sundays with regular entree orders. Loyalty points are available thru their app. If you haven't tried them yet, reward their leap of faith and get your good bbq grub on.“
