Recently, they went above and beyond. I had a last-minute lunch order for my company that was unexpectedly canceled by another restaurant through DoorDash. With only 45 minutes before the meeting, I called Taylor Street Kitchen to see if they could help. Not only did they take the order for 12 sandwiches on short notice, but they had everything ready for pickup within 15 minutes. They were incredibly responsive and helpful, and they truly saved the day!“

The sandwiches are the real deal, loaded with flavor and built exactly how they should be. That acidic touch I'm always looking for, but can't find the right place that can oull it off. This place does it. The pastries taste like they were made with love, and the staff know their stuff. They’ll point you in the right direction if you can’t decide.

Outdoor seating is perfect for hanging in Sellwood on a sunny day, or you can grab a sandwich to take down to the river. The rotating specials keep it exciting, which is probably why I’m already thinking about coming back tomorrow.“

“Got the chicken and the pork katsu sandwiches for our train ride. Even after sitting in our bags for a couple of hours, both were delicious even if they weren’t crispy anymore. Got extra sauce as others have advised and it was not truly necessary (but it was nice!) Tonkatsu sauce is like regular tonkatsu sauce, which is very yummy imo. Love that there is cabbage instead of lettuce, as cabbage sits better over time and doesn’t get wilty or weird like lettuce does in a bento.

We got our food in less than 10 mins and service was friendly. I think I may prefer Tokyo Sando’s chicken sandwich a little bit better but the cute ambiance and indoor seating spaces makes this preferable in the winter.

My one little gripe is that I wished the meat was a little wider and reached the edges of the sandwich bread. But overall I was full and happy.“

“The Bakers Mark delivered on a delicious sandwich that had my impressed and excited to come back again to try another bite.

The sandwich was put together perfectly and tasted great. Far too often I get sandwiches where you take a bite and it all just comes out of the bread because it has been stuffed past capacity. The sandwiches here are made to the correct proportions and are filling.

Only thing I wish was improved is that I would like to see the bacon cooked more crispy, it was too soft for my liking.

“Jojo comes up on a lot of PDX "Best of..." lists, and as a result, when I was looking to book a reservation and found no convenient time slots available, I figured the next best alternative would be to skip the BS and just hit up the food cart. Good choice.

Reasonably priced for a premium burger in Portland, I went with the Mr. Onion Burger, which lived up to the name in every way possible: an assortment of awesome Alliums assembled under a bun, and tied together with a tasty, tangy Alabama white mustard. Very much approved! I'm now even more intrigued to return and try the Spicy Cheeseburger, which would normally have been my #1 pick, but I wanted to try something different.

Of course, one can't eat at Jojo's without trying the Jojo's, right? And my visit was no exception: a small order of the Nashville Hots was a fantastic accompaniment, even if the red sauce and breading got absolutely everywhere! And even a small order is a sizeable portion, meaning I took half of it home with me, for later.

Jojo came with a lot of hype and expectations, but they knocked it out of the park, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. And if you're like me, and you don't need any pretense to enjoy a classic burger at a reasonable price, don't bother reserving a table in NW; just head over to this cart on SE Powell.

Parking: Plenty of parking at the John's Marketplace lot.

“I visit here on a regular basis as it's very close to my job and a place I can get in and out of pretty quickly. It's service goes above and beyond. I love the owner and it's workers. They are friendly and fast. I always order the bulgogi without lettuce, tomato and peppers and it's honestly so good, I'm afraid to try anything else but their menu is so large I know without a doubt I'd like pretty much anything offered. My kids and husband also enjoy the bulgogi as well as the teriyaki chicken and spicy pork bowl. I definitely recommend“

“I went out at 2:20 in the morning to get something to eat. I did not expect to eat one of the best meals I’ve had in a while at that price range. The store owner was very nice and gave me a few recommendations for what to eat and he made an excellent choice because the food was amazing. The environment around the outside of the store was a little rough but that was not the store owners fault and shouldn’t take away from the quality of the food.
