Recently, they went above and beyond. I had a last-minute lunch order for my company that was unexpectedly canceled by another restaurant through DoorDash. With only 45 minutes before the meeting, I called Taylor Street Kitchen to see if they could help. Not only did they take the order for 12 sandwiches on short notice, but they had everything ready for pickup within 15 minutes. They were incredibly responsive and helpful, and they truly saved the day!“

“I ordered a pick-up from Google map yesterday. When I got there there was many people so I could not reach out to any staffs. Turned out to pick up my order without letting any staffs know but I guess it’s normal for such a busy restaurant. Ate at a table outside the restaurant and really enjoyed the cool weather. The pork katsu sandwich tasted great. The fries with curry tasted good at first but just OK as time went by. Want to try other sandwiches when I come to Portland again.“

Anyways, far and away best sandwich bread and bread in general in Portland. Not classic east coast style deli but something a little different and better. “They make their own Gluten Free bread! It's delicious and fluffy, not dense like other spots. I recommend getting it toasted but regular is good too!

You get to order at a kiosk so you can customize your sandwich at will without having to feel bad and everyone is really kind if you have questions.

Anytime I'm in the area I grab myself a sandwich, those cookies are massive too! (Not GF but worth it if you can get away with it) If you haven't tried it, you should!“
