From the moment you pull up to the location, the smoky aroma of slow-cooked meats draws you in like a magnet. This place is all about honoring the art of the smoker, and it shows in every bite. The brisket is phenomenal. The pulled pork melts in your mouth, and the ribs are fall-off-the-bone perfect. The Prime Rib Dip is exceptional and cooked to perfection. And what I consider the hardest meat to keep juicy, a chicken breast, is delicious to the last bite. Our family never passes us an opportunity to take home several wimpy burgers for later. Roger, Danielle, and all the staff are serving up food with care and passion for the smoker’s art. “Disclaimer, I didn't eat the food myself as I'm plant based. Dennis and Auntie makes it homey. When I look at the pictures and food, it feels authentic and rich, yummies families eat. Portions are great. Definitely smells tempting while I'm enroute to deliver these. Ordered BBQ pork skewers for my Greek friend and he can't stop raving about it. He asked me to get more for him on his birthday. Got the pork adobo for another friend. OMG! Delicious! He's a born and raised Louisiana chef so quite judgy when it comes to food. Definitely, ordering some dishes for my visiting family!“

“I didn’t think I’d find good Korean food in Salem - I was raised in San Diego & lived in Portland for a few years so I’m a lil food snob - but seriously y’all, this place is a gem. I’m used to having to pay over $100 for good Korean food, and extra for banchan - this place hooked it up! They refilled our banchans not just once but THRICE! And they were genuinely sweet the whole time. The food was fantastic - authentic and felt homemade. The portions were great, taste was great - overall a wonderful experience, and I am looking forward to bringing folks here!
Also - they do a lot of community/philanthropic work. You can taste/see it in their food - it looks like they’re here to actually give good food, not just make money. I’m super happy to have found this place!“

“Loved the items offered on the menu, unfortunately I happened to forget to take some pictures, this place did not disappoint, one dish was wonton noodle soup, and spicybeef noodle soup. I will definitely return and take better information.

“Had a lunch with here with girl friends. Our server, Aiden, was so fun and amazing! Food was incredible and wine was exquisite! We plan this as a yearly event now. This is a wonderful winery with great service as well as wine and food!“

“It is hard to find good breakfast in this area and Cafe 22 hits the spot. I love their peaches, the pancake thickness isnt overly cakey and hard to swallow. The bacon is thick and cooked just right. The raspberry jam is real raspberry jam. The water mentioned in the another review is because they are on a well so it does taste little bit more tinnish, a lemon wedge in my water cured that. Stopped by the fruit stand for fresh strawberries, on the spendy side, but oh the flavor, absolutely nothing beats an Oregon strawberry. Had I known they did strawberry short cake, I woulda skipped the breakfast and went straight to the fruit stand.“

“Their food is amazing always fresh and full of flavor. Their vegetable fried rice is the best I have ever had. The reason for the 4 stars in regards to food is due to them using white mushrooms instead of mushrooms such as Shitake or Oyster mushrooms. They also throw in celery in the vegetable mix which I see as an expensive filler and only needed in specific dishes.“

They streamlined the sample process for me and I walked out with a delicious selection of MY choosing. 6 bottles for 71$.....11.83 per bottle. I was happy with the price for the quality of the wine. I like the fact that there is a ramp to the entrance if the stairs are challenging. The thing that I like most about this winery, besides the wine and the staff friendliness is the location! “We were in Salem for a concert at the Elsinore Theatre on Friday, November 1st, and were lucky enough to find the Wild Pear, to get something to eat before concert. I wanted to try everything on the menu, it sounded so good! I ordered the Butternut soup & Pear salad. Both were fabulous, & I can't wait to drive back to Salem to check out other items on the menu. We had awesome service and were greeted & shown to a table right away. You will not be disappointed! I will definitely be back, & wish you were closer to Vancouver, WA!!“

“Staff was prompt and responsive. I ordered the Prime Rib Special. It came out remarkably fast. Medium rare as requested. Unfortunately the baked potato was over done and yet cool. The prime rib was lukewarm. The horseradish sauce was off- I can’t tell why but it had a peculiar flavor that should not have been there. Seasoning of the prime rib was on point and so was the zip sauce. I wasn’t feeling up to potential confrontation so when they asked how the food was I just said good. With prime rib it’s hard because if they warmed it then it might not have come back medium rare…also there was no steak knife but again I didn’t ask“

“Before college, I brought my daughter here all the time. She was adventurous and tried something new quite often.
I had two standbys I ordered most often, twice cooked Pork or Mongolia beef. The ladies working here are so nice and friendly. The old world style restaurant is just too quaint. It makes for the full experience in dining. Plenty of parking, and handicap can enter from north side entrance.
I know I needed it.
I want to try the Peking Duck.
