“Disclaimer, I didn't eat the food myself as I'm plant based. Dennis and Auntie makes it homey. When I look at the pictures and food, it feels authentic and rich, yummies families eat. Portions are great. Definitely smells tempting while I'm enroute to deliver these. Ordered BBQ pork skewers for my Greek friend and he can't stop raving about it. He asked me to get more for him on his birthday. Got the pork adobo for another friend. OMG! Delicious! He's a born and raised Louisiana chef so quite judgy when it comes to food. Definitely, ordering some dishes for my visiting family!“

“Incredible food! I was absolutely blown away by how delicious and nourishing my soup was. I had Duk Mandu Guk, a delicious soup with rice cakes and dumplings in a savory broth. My mother-in-law had a yummy bulgogi bento box! I asked if they had dessert but they didn't unfortunately. And then one of the servers came over and brought me two little watermelon slices and made my day. 💖 Also the bathroom was incredibly clean and honestly really well decorated. The restaurant has lovely plants and decorations throughout, even the bathroom! Such a lovely place. I can now see why my Korean grandma-in-law loves this place!! And I had plenty of leftovers to take home too!!“

“Fabulous evening with friends before Christmas. The decorations are warm and welcoming along with having the talented pianist at the grand piano. I had the most delicious seafood pasta ever. Large prawns and sweet scallops with homemade pasta was scrumptious. My husband had lobster tail on beet risotto. A little skeptical we all had a taste and it was delicious, too. We appreciate Mo’s graciousness and celebrate his almost 35 years in Salem. Our server Stevie, was efficient, friendly and took great care of us. Best restaurant in Salem.“

“After an incredibly fun and enjoyable tasting with Sarah, I purchased all of the wine for my wedding from Honeywood Winery. The wine tasted incredible and it was hard to decide on just three. In addition, Honeywood created custom wine labels for all of the wine bottles that matched the theme of the wedding. Honeywood went absolutely above and beyond to make our experience so unique and special. We got so many compliments on how cute and unique the bottles were and we have kept one to open on our one-year anniversary. “We've only taken food to go, never ate at CG. But even on a Saturday night when places are packed, I call in an order and I'm told will be ready in 15 minutes! I arrive and the food is bagged and ready to go.
Get home and the food is consistently good quality. Not over-salted or drenched in sauces. Everything is fresh and tasty.
In the absence of Kwans - CG is our go-to for take-out Chinese food!“

“We were in Salem for a concert at the Elsinore Theatre on Friday, November 1st, and were lucky enough to find the Wild Pear, to get something to eat before concert. I wanted to try everything on the menu, it sounded so good! I ordered the Butternut soup & Pear salad. Both were fabulous, & I can't wait to drive back to Salem to check out other items on the menu. We had awesome service and were greeted & shown to a table right away. You will not be disappointed! I will definitely be back, & wish you were closer to Vancouver, WA!!“

“This place is a must visit! Upon arrival, our host Brandon greeted us with umbrellas to escort us to the tasting room which is absolutely darling! He started up a fire for us and brought us all hot towels infused with calming essential oils. Brandon was very knowledgeable about the land and all of the wines. The wines were phenomenal, we walked away with a few bottles. I am so happy that we were able to visit them. Do yourself a favor and book this place!“

“It is hard to find good breakfast in this area and Cafe 22 hits the spot. I love their peaches, the pancake thickness isnt overly cakey and hard to swallow. The bacon is thick and cooked just right. The raspberry jam is real raspberry jam. The water mentioned in the another review is because they are on a well so it does taste little bit more tinnish, a lemon wedge in my water cured that. Stopped by the fruit stand for fresh strawberries, on the spendy side, but oh the flavor, absolutely nothing beats an Oregon strawberry. Had I known they did strawberry short cake, I woulda skipped the breakfast and went straight to the fruit stand.“

“Staff was prompt and responsive. I ordered the Prime Rib Special. It came out remarkably fast. Medium rare as requested. Unfortunately the baked potato was over done and yet cool. The prime rib was lukewarm. The horseradish sauce was off- I can’t tell why but it had a peculiar flavor that should not have been there. Seasoning of the prime rib was on point and so was the zip sauce. I wasn’t feeling up to potential confrontation so when they asked how the food was I just said good. With prime rib it’s hard because if they warmed it then it might not have come back medium rare…also there was no steak knife but again I didn’t ask“

“on my lunch Pizza that's called the Grubstake, one slice had *half* a slice of Canadian bacon and two pea sized pieces ground beef... the second one had two half pieces of thin thin Canadian bacon and one piece of ground beef..WTH? And even though in the review it says I recommend it, I ***definitely *** did NOT choose that option!“
