“When you enter the first thing you notice are the plants and real wood paneling. There are tiny cast irons up on the wall. The lighting is designed to look like old style gas lamps. The music is definitely the best part of the ambiance. The music ranges from doowop to soul to vintage rock and roll to San Francisco sound and Motown which is precisely my jam. I ordered a plain burger with mayo and fries. I'm weird like that but Miller's was able to able to accommodate my autism. The service was amazing and I'm not just saying that cause I know the waitress. The food was made quickly. Fries were crunchy on the outside soft on the inside as they should be. My Fanta was topped off when I got just under a third. It's clean. Very clean. I know cause I watched an employee pull every single table out to clean the booths. Very pleased with my visit.“

“Hard to believe I have lived in Portland for 20 years and have never been to the Original Pancake House. Finally did one morning and was really impressed. So many choices it was hard to decide but of course we had to get one dutch baby to try. Everything was so good and the service was stellar. It’s a busy place so expect a wait and it can get quite loud inside with all the people. Those things aside, I can’t wait to go back again and try more of the menu!“

“Walked up to this place with no expectations. Felt like the menu was a little boring and not expecting much. Got my sandwich and have now found my new favorite breakfast sando. English muffin was more like a homemade cross between a muffin and a biscuit. Sausage patty is thick, juicy with hints of rosemary. I just wish they had a better selection of hot sauce. Will be back next weekend.“

Bertie Lou's truly reflects Portland: small, and a little rough, but fast, with spot on service, and the tastiest food.
If you appreciate the dive bar side of city life then everything about this place is perfect. The tight counter, with seats that move like a rollercoaster, allowing an up close and personal view of the cooks (in the tightest galley kitchen) as they sling breakfast faster than a chicken could lay the eggs they're serving; the back and forth of the friendliest servers I've met (outside of Stepping Stone Cafe) as they chat whilst balancing bundles of heavily filled plates to tables at the rear, all while enjoying banter with fellow diners as we sit, absorbing this activity. It's truly bloody mesmerizing.
I know, we all have our favourite eateries, but I encourage you to find some time to stop here for breakfast (or lunch) and enjoy what may become one of the few remaining vestiges of 'real Portland' dining.

“You might have to wait a long time because this place is insanely popular. But trust me, this is well worth the wait. I waited 25 minutes, but the impatience I accrued from waiting quickly evaporated the second I bit into my Yolko Ono Deluxe. “I tried a waffle with an egg on top and a side of hashbrowns, and it honestly blew me away. The waffle was light and fluffy, with just the right texture, and the egg on top added a really nice savory balance without overpowering it. The hashbrowns were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside. I can tell the owner put a lot of thought into his recipes; everything worked together so well. Highly recommend stopping by yourself or with a couple of friends!“

“This place was phenomenal, I came to the food pod on 5tt Ave, and I wanted to try out. You know, variety of things, and then I came across Java Rising Calf. I got their spice apple and OMG, you guys, if you haven't yet, this place is a must try.
Stop their waffles. Which is the base for all their dishes? Was cook to perfection, crispy, golden, and the outside soft, warm, and inside. You mix that up with the spiced. Apple's, the whipped cream, and they have something on top of that whipped crime. I should have asked what it was, but the combination of all those items together just, it was an orgy in my mouth... I forgot I had other foods, I licked the plate, guys.
I dare. to even say I was disappointed at every other food car I tried. I got a lot of food. I came there with a mission, and only one place satisfied my expectations, what I was looking for, right. I pretty much tried about 6 food courts and none of them war satisfactory in both flavor execution, and even though I had it in a togo container. Their Plating, I mean, the way the Sun hit it just right, It was like the holy growl... .it looked like a holograph pier gold, and it's all glory.
Thank you, guys, for being open that day. It was quite the experience, and I can't wait to come back once a week and try the rest of the menu🤩😁🤩😁🤩😁🫰“

“La Provence in Beaverton is our favorite location in this excellent chain, and we always enjoy their wonderful food when we are visiting the area. Their bakery has suppled us with many welcomed hostess or celebration gifts (oh, those macarons!) over the years. The staff is excellent as well (hi, Cory, thanks again!). Highly recommended.“

“I happened to have been using the restroom on my visit there & while using the restroom, an employee did to not wash his hands after he used the bathroom. (I’m sure “it’s” clean but still) I noticed he had just used paper towels to open the door and that was that. I’m going to assume that he probably didn’t wash his hands when he went right
back to work.“

“The food was amazing, I loved the Chef Salad and my dad and sister said the Club Sandwich was great. My favorite part was the people, the servers were so nice and sweet, very fast service (although it was a slow day). All smiles and very kind and gracious when I accidentally spilled my entire glass of water lol. I'd definitely come back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun place for the family.“

“Bagel was decent cream cheese is fake it was Newfoundland there was dirt everywhere all you have to do is look up it's completely dirty there's hair and grease everywhere if you look anything above the food line it's completely gross they should be reported to the Health Board the coffee was nasty I drank one sip through to it the bagel was decent but they need to clean and tell people that the cream cheese they're using is not cream cheese this Newfoundland I paid for more cream cheese and they put it heavy in front and then tilted it to where there was less in the middle and back so I did not get what I paid for it overall the experience left me mad for $8“

“Good spot. Fast service. Friendly. Menu was surprisingly expansive. Included a mix of unique items.
Breakfast burrito.delicious. Crispy tortilla. Used refried beans. Salsa was delicious. Not sure if,it is homemade but it was on point. Price is right was you'd expect. Not expensive. Priced appropriately.
Location is random. Inside a little strip.mall. Easy access to the highway. I'd go again.“

Service was great the food came out fast and we both enjoyed our breakfast so much that when I come back to visit I will definitely be back . Best part of course was the homemade biscuits and jam... “I'm glad there is still a good family style restaurant with great food and service like IHOP. I do have a drive to get there, but I'm always pleased after I leave. It's worth the extra time. My servers have all been very attentive, pleasant and made good recommendations for me.

“We qwanted to leave a special review about our server Michael. We had just drove 17 hours straight from Fort Collins and landed at the Beaverton IHOP. Michael, seeing our weary bodies and tired eyes immediately brought us coffee and listen to our story with the most genuine appreciation. He checked on our coffee and food several times with a pleasant, professional smile. What an outstanding employee and great food. Thank you for your great customer service. A+++“
