“I love this place. It is one of two places I've found in the Portland area with true authentic Mexican food. I used to go to Sanchez Taqueria all the time until I went to La Fuente. The food here, IMO, tastes much better than Sanchez. I'm not saying Sanchez isn't good. It's great, but I prefer La Fuente. Great food!“

She added mango, I added strawberry for $0.50 each. They have a lot of offerings and many are much larger. Chunky guacamole was exactly as advertised and very tasty. Both of us had Fajitas which were served on a sizzling platter. Probably could have shared one, but we like leftovers so that was fine; as there was a LOT of leftovers. Shared a flan dessert, which was super yummy and served with whipped cream. Service was good and very attentive. More chips? Right away. You know how someone always asks "how's it going" just as you take a bite? Gave 'em two thumbs up at least three times. It was not quite too much attention, but close. Atmosphere was clean, modern and pleasant. Menus are VERY extensive and detailed. Exterior signage is quite low key. Guessing that's by careful design. Had we not heard good things, we might not have gone in. Guess that's ok, I think you'll want to tell your friends.“

The birria, al pastor, and carnitas all hit the spot. I might have to pickup jogging or try Livi's ensalada if this turns into a regular thing.
