“We were at Humble Spirit last night and were blown away by our meal . We started with the meatballs and veggie platter, we had the pasta, chicken and the daily special of duck. Every one of the meals was absolutely divine !! The pasta is by far one of the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten. I highly recommend you try Humble Spirit !“

“We met our Son from out of town for lunch. I had a gift card and we've been wanting to go there. Everyone was so friendly it felt like it wasn't our first time being there. The service was excellent and the food was so good and the portions were ample. We will definitely be dining there again.

Parking: We parked in the lot behind the restaurant as street parking was full.“

“So, we are small business owners from out of the area and were putting on a training class all day in McMinnville. My gf said I needed to take her out to dinner as we didn’t have kids with us and we could play adult for once. We found 1882 and decided to give it a try, and I gotta tell ya it was the absolute best experience ever! We are kinda foodies and have eaten many different places and this was definitely at the top. We started out downstairs and decided to eat upstairs..Macy was our hostess and seated us immediately, from there it was a great conversation about her recommendations. Shortly thereafter we met Cindy, the customer service guru and we proceeded to discuss business, the restaurant and her experience with the company..she literally took over 10min to talk with us as Macy continued to check in before Cindy moved on to the next table and customers. At no time did we ever have to ask, and I didn’t see any other guests near us have to either, for assistance or about their order, it was running smoothly. And our hostess of only 21 definitely acted more mature than her age!! We met Mo, the owner, and got to learn her story with the business and share different experiences we had seen at other restaurants. Suffice to say it was an absolute amazing evening and will definitely be back again!“

“My husband and I have driven past this place for years and on a whim, decided to try it. The environment was cozy and felt like a perfect small town diner. We ordered two chicken fried steaks, chef salad, rosemary fries and 3 bacon, two eggs and pancakes. The food was beautiful and the portions were large! The pancakes were fluffy and moist and the garlic bread that came with my chef salad, made my husband smile. Overall the food was fufilling and didnt make us feel groggy afterwards. The waitress was attentive and super sweet. Worth the money we paid!“

The two young ladies from 9/5/2024 last night at around 8pm, were wonderful! This sundae typically lasts me 2-3 days! This business is people of colour friendly!

“I’m from Portland, but visit my mom often in Forest Grove. Whenever I’m in the area, I always drive by The Ace but never stop. Last night that changed and I’m so glad it did! Great food for a great price, cozy atmosphere and super fun staff! I can’t wait to go back again! The outdoor area looks so fun and I can’t wait to visit in the summer! “My partner and I had a wonderful evening after the local vineyards all afternoon. Walked in with no reservations but got a nice intimate table in the bar side. The drink menu was hand made and menu was on a chalkboard. This is my kind of place. The atmosphere was lovely and had the perfect Oregon welcoming vibe. All the employees made you feel welcomed and knew exactly what they were doing. I had the Strip Loin steak dish and I can confidently say this was one of the best steaks I have ever had at a restaurant. I asked for medium and it was cooked perfectly. I wanna genuinely say thank you Thistle for a highlight of my weekend getaway trip for my partner and I. We will definitely be back. 🥩🔥❤️“

“I celebrated my birthday here last weekend. First time at the bar. Had an absolute blast with everyone! Didn't have any food but The drinks were poured right, the bartender was great and we all had a great time closing it down lol.

“It was so fun to go back in the Pirate’s Den. Thanks to all those who are keeping that small-town staple going. I got the breakfast burrito and cinnamon roll. I liked the large amount of cheese on the burrito. I wish it would have come with some salsa because the potatoes were a little dry by 9:30 am. The cinnamon roll icing and filling were great and I liked the to-go style packaging.“

“Berts chuckwagon is some of the better barbecue we have around here. Trouble is in the northwest we just don’t have a lot of barbecue. I feel like the sides are what really shine. His ribs are good. They do it smoked style but they are pretty tough and dry and that’s what happens when you smoke ribs. Mine are like 10 times better in the oven and so juicy they fall off the bone. He’s a nice guy and the prices are moderate for what they offer portions are pretty generous. I’ve eaten here multiple times when I didn’t feel like cooking. Will probably come back again. But I do prefer to make my own barbecue over berts.“

Brooke was very tentative and quick, Josie and Blaine were on the team as well. The kitchen staff really killed it with our food! Can't wait to tell all my friends to come here!“

“50's diner type style. Ate the 1/4 burger minus sweet relish. crinkle fries and their fry sauce. Tasted home-made, so full didn't have room for the ice cream they make onsight. We will go again, friendly staff. You can tell locals go here, popular place.“

“If you are craving a sandwich, burger, or salad with a refreshing beverage, this is a place for you. We ordered the prime rib on a Saturday night. It was flavorful and moist. Our CC only critique is that we would have liked a little more variety on the menu. The service was excellent at the pub and cellar“

“Went in as out of towners for a girls trip. We went initially to go to the roof top bar but it was already closed so we enjoyed a cocktail at the main bar. Rachel was our bartender and she was excellent. She took time to make this delicious cucumber margarita cocktail for my friend that had a lot of components and you could certainly taste the love! I would definitely recommend that drink and made by Rachel. Don’t complain about the time it takes to make it because it’s worth it and she is a true mixologist! Thank you Rachel!“
