“What a fantastic place to eat before we saw a concert at Ardmore Music Hall. We asked to be in and out within 45 minutes so we could make the concert. The service was fast but not rushed. The food from apps to entre', we're hot and delicious. The bread was also warm and crusty but soft in the middle. Paired perfectly with my eggplant parm appetizer. I also had the penne vodka as my main dish. I was not disappointed. My husband had a Cesar salad and a capellini and seafood dish. Fantastic portion size. Everything was just perfect. My only regret was that we didn't have time for dessert. Next time!!“

“My Mom and I came here for the first time last night. Well lived in Ardmore all our life and never been to this restaurant. We will definitely be back. We ordered the special which was Gnochi with sausage and meatballs. It was delicious. The server was really nice and the atmosphere was nice as well. “Driving from Broomall to Philadelphia. Finding Scoogis was kismet! Following my guy I pulled and thought “eh, why not”. Greeted my the gem of a human that is Sophia. Scoogis is everything you want in a dining experience. Great energy in the dining rooms, high-quality service, atmosphere, great menu, great desert. The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! “Came in from Denver and was craving some great Italian. They did not disappoint! Service was excellent. Food was amazing! Clams Casino and Meatballs appetizer set a high bar for the rest of the meal, and they nailed it. Seafood ala Scannichios and the NY strip longjohn were hugely portioned and delicious. Others in our party had the Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Parm and a few others- and they raved about them. Tiramisu and Bananas Foster were sublime. The owner Christian and his family really made us feel welcomed. We will definitely be back on future trips.“

The setting, on the 8th floor of an old school building, is extremely cool and aesthetic and they styled the space beautifully with lots of plants. The view is wonderful. I went with a friend and we shared a “girl dinner” of four desserts followed by pasta. I keep thinking about the gelato I had, which was flavored with sweet cream and topped with a layer of honey and a mound of pistachios. The sweet and salty combination was amazing. Another standout was the orange olive oil torte with a bay leaf-infused cream. The lemon pasta was simple with a depth of flavor and strong umami. “I had dinner at La Sera the other day and was impressed. The appetizers were delicious--we had the calamari, cozze, and mushrooms. All were delicious, but the mushrooms were phenomenal. For entrees, our table had the ribeye, veal ripieno, spaghetti and meatballs, and ravioli rosa. Everyone loved their food.

And I must give a special shout out to Meritan. I realized the next day that I left my hat at the restaurant and I had already left for the airport to return to Florida. I connected with Meritan who I coordinated with to have it shipped to my house.

In all, La Sera offers delicious food and service from good people. I will certainly be back.“
