“My family and I waltzed into Subway today and were greeted by the wonderful Marrion. Despite having a co-worker with the charisma of a deflated balloon, our Marrion was the epitome of composure. Now, while Marsha (the aforementioned balloon) re-entered the restaurant with all the grace of a bull in a china shop, accusing Marrion of stealing her forgotten tips, Marrion continued to serve us with a kindness that'd outshine any 'Employee of the Month'.

It was quite the spectacle, really. Marsha demanded Marrion remind her about her tips in the future and then muttered foul words under her breath that should not have been said in front of customers, let alone my 10 year old son.

Now, I was tempted to knock off a star for the free side-dish of drama, but I really want the 5 stars to reflect the wonderful customer service experience provided by Marrion.“

“Absolutely unique small restaurant in Pittsburgh. I think they have the best submarine type sandwiches among other things in the city. Their outdoor tables are different, because it's a tiny restaurant. For six of us it was great eating outside. The restaurant is fast, convenient and the food is delicious and reasonable.

Vegetarian options: I get the shadyside hoagie it's all veggies. I'm actually a meat eater but I love the shadyside.“

“I am so sad that they have closed. This was at least a weekly dinner for my family as my fiancé and I both work and live very close. The workers were given no notice, so the customers didn't get any notice either. We just happened to have a friend who got lunch that day and we found out from them. Yes, it was an old building and yes it wasn't "eat in" anymore, but it's sad for those of us who were frequent, loyal customers. The employees had been there for years, knew the customers and their orders and it was a close-knit crew. We heard that the building will likely be torn down and made into (another) strip mall. Disappointing. Shame on you, Peppi's.“

“This is hands down the best fish and chip spot in Pittsburgh. The fish, shrimp and fries were excellent. Perfectly crispy on the outside and the inside just melts in your mouth. The house made donuts are also to die for. Highly recommend checking them out and the owner is super nice too!“

“Came here after work to order takeout because I wanted a bite to eat. I got the turkey sando and the tots and let me tell you I was impressed! I was skeptical about the hummus being on the sandwich and originally asked for it to be made without but i’m honestly glad that they ended up putting it on there because it took it to a whole new level! “Recently I ordered 3 sub trays and a chicken salad. I was very pleased. Everything was fresh, delicious, and reasonable. Anyone who took my call was courteous, professional, and honored all requests. Every detail was carried out. My order was ready at the time I requested and well packaged. “What a divine breakfast we enjoyed here this morning! After enjoying delicious made-in-house beef in the Allegheny Omelete served alongside potatoes (with the perfect amount of salt) and a side of horseradish sauce along with an order of fluffy scrambled eggs with made-in house-turkey, we deemed it one of the best breakfasts around! Our waitress was adorable, friendly, cheery, and after she described several of the upcoming week's specials, we decided to come back again in the next few days for lunch!! What a friendly place with simply delicious food! Thank you!!“

“These subs are pretty good. Unlike Subway, you do actually get a decent amount of toppings, and you do get a little more meat on their subs. But I guess with that little bit extra is the price difference. These subs are on the tad pricey side, though. Overall, it's a good place to grab a sub.“

“The staff is excellent and very caring. They are the perfect business for that plaza, especially because it's near one of Allegheny Health Networks treatment centers. “I've become obsessed with the "whacked chicken" hoagie! I've ordered it 4 times at PrimoHoagies. I've been to this location twice and the one in the strip twice. Every visit has been excellent. I order the smallest size and it's just enough to fill me up! The total comes to around $10.“

“It was okay. We waited for a bit in line, only to find out another sandwich artist was in the side room. He came out to help on the line once asked by the single artist in the main room. We were pressed for time as we were inbetween basketball games in a tournament in the PT muni center up the street. Food was okay, and the restaurant seemed clean. Overall just, meh.“

“I don't know why this place has such a bad rating, they are far and away the best of the chain sandwich shops around here! Fresh ingredients, huge variety, and online ordering is easy and prompt. A bit pricier than what you pay for Subway or Jimmy John's, but the quality you get in return is well worth it.“

“I loveeeee this place. They have both salads and sandwiches MTO as well as homemade hot and cold items. All of the MTO items I have gotten have been delicious. The Brussel sprouts in the cold items are amazing. Anytime I am dt I always stop to see if they have Brussels. Would recommend for lunch. “We haven't been to this location in years. Came in this Sunday and it was busy. (A large group of 6 or 7 adults plus kids before us, and another one after us.) Only one person working. I think his nametag said "Twig" which was unusual, but the food prep area was clean, he was quick and professional and I even saw him change his gloves. When the sub he was making for me got a bit wet he took the time to wrap it again in a new paper which I appreciated. (We were taking the subs hiking.) Totally solid experience from a rockstar and I hope management of the store appreciates what a great employee they've got. We were having a rough day so having a good experience for lunch turned it around. We'll be back.“

“The strip to Subway was a very good experience. There was only one person in front of us so we didn't have to wait in line long and the food was delicious. The folks working behind the counter I'll send friendly and in pretty good spirits which reflects in the experience“

“I ordered lunch and went down the counter to pay when I realized that I did not have my wallet. Went to my car to see if it had fallen out of my pocket. Couldn't find it. Went back into the store to ask them to cancel my order because I had lost my wallet or left it at home. Manager said not to worry about it - that they would comp my lunch. I ate, went home and found my wallet, returned and paid. The manager could not have been any more gracious when he comped my meal or when I returned to pay. I will definitely return.“

“This location was average for what you expect from a Subway. Getting a sandwich made the way you want it but.. Subway (Corporate) has been in the news too many times over the years for negative things... "Foot long" does not mean 12 inches (when measured), the bread is not bread (too much sugar by weight), and recently... the tuna might not be tuna (still to be decided by the courts). While I still go there for the meatball sub, my hope and faith is that there is real meat in the meatballs. If not, I will have to plug myself back into the matrix and live out my days in blissful ignorance.“

“The manager, Matt, is a damn good guy. Food is always on point, employees seem to actually enjoy being there and that translates to epic service - every time. highly recommend this Firehouse.

Vegetarian options: I think they only have one veggie sub and maybe salads... My brother's a vegetarian and he enjoyed his sub

Parking: It's in a strip mall - type plaza with a shared lot. Plenty spots.

Kid-friendliness: It's a sub joint, about as kid friendly as it gets. Plenty of room for strollers too.“

“This is the best subway I have ever been to! Everything is so fresh and extremely clean. The owners are always so nice and welcoming. I have come twice with my 2.5 year and 8 month old and they are always so sweet to the kids and the woman has given my older one a free cookie twice which she really appreciates. I saw other customers come in and the owner remembered everyone’s order if they had been in before which I find super impressive. I highly recommend coming to this subway! I’ll be back!“

“I stopped going to Subway a few years ago because of quality was terrible. A couple of years ago I moved and was very close to this location in Westview plaza. I don't know if it is just this location or all subways have stepped up their game but I have never gotten a bad meal at this place!
Everything is fresh and it fills me up. The best part is I order through the app and they always have at least buy one get a second for 50% off and run a buy one get one free promotion very frequently. Currently they are doing the buy one get one free promotion and I have gone there three times in the last 5 days. All three times the food was delicious and did not take long to get. I highly recommend this place.“
