“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. “This location was recommended for a medical school reunion in Pittsburgh by our alumni association. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. “We have been going to Piccolo Forno for years. It is my favorite restaurant. The staff is outstanding. The food is creative and menu items are changed regularly to make use of seasonal ingredients. There are so many delicious choices on the menu that it is difficult to decide what to order. The food is reasonably priced and the corkage fee is less than most restaurants. It's hip without feeling forced, the staff is friendly and they play cool music. It's a great date night spot. Major drawback is the parking. It's on-street, and a crapshoot at best to find a spot near the door. But don't let that stop you from checking this place out. It's worth the trip. The toppings are perfectly mixed and heated to melt together and the flat bread crust technique should be studied by children!!! “We came here for dinner on a Friday night in August. We were traveling and checked the map for something that was close and looked good. The menu looked good and I liked the name because I have seen the Godfather a bunch of times but I was a little hesitant at first because it was in a strip mall.

We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by a bartender who gave us menus and took our drink order. She gave a little time to decide on meals and then out that order in for us. We ordered the calamari to share and we wanted to split the shrimp scampi as well. There weren’t too many people on the bar side. I couldn’t see the dining room area. There are couple Godfather posters which was cool.

The food came out shortly after ordering and the kitchen was able to split the pasta for us which we appreciated because we know how messy it can get at the bar when we try to do that ourselves with pasta. We were grateful they could do that - some places won’t. The calamari was very good. They pasta was good. I wish it would have had a little bit of lemon in it to make the garlic more pronounced but that’s just my preference.

The bartender was friendly and attentive. She seemed to have good rapport with the other customers who maybe were regulars. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual.

They have a lottery machine. We weee hoping to get a winning powerball ticket that night but the machine was offline. Oh well.

Prices were comparable to other similar places we go at home. Parking was easy - since it’s in the strip mall it shares a big lot with surrounding businesses.

“I work in the building where Tuscan Cafe is located. There are a lot of options downtown for breakfast and lunch but honestly I don't think you will better meals that their prices. The variety and lunch specials are awesome. The coffee drinks are underrated. The staff is also awesome and incredibly friendly. Highly, highly, highly recommend this place.“
