“I recently had the pleasure of hosting a graduation party at From the Boot in Lafayette Hill, and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Bri, the event coordinator, worked with me to customize my menu. She was extremely responsive to all my requests. Our server, Nick, truly made the experience exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout our buffet service, always there to refill drinks and assist the guests. The buffet itself was delicious! The selection was impressive, and everyone enjoyed the delicious pasta, chicken parm and bruschetta. Overall, the combination of great food, a nice ambiance, and outstanding service from Nick made our graduation party amazing. I highly recommend From the Boot for any special event.“

The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! Really, all the food was impeccable, from the focaccia to our mains. Super pleased and the next time I’m in town, I will most definitely be coming back!!“

Chef/owner James consistently puts out incredible Italian food at reasonable prices compared to others in the neighborhood, and the BYOB always makes it even better. Him and his staff are always attentive and genuinely cares about the diners—you can feel it every time you’re there. “This place is great! Service was great and our server/the staff was so attentive. Food was delicious, the family style is perfect in terms of serving sizes! We got the tuna crudo and squash arancini for starters. Then we got the mushroom tortellini, penne ala vodka, and the chitarra with meatballs. Dessert we had like a white chocolate pudding, and an apple pastry. Everything was delicious - our only complaints are that the mushroom pasta was slightly over salted, the peas in the penne felt a bit too hard and undercooked, and the desserts were a bit too sweet for my taste. Our favorites were the tuna, chitarra, and arancini. I recommend making a reservation but we walked in and sat at the chefs table (first come first serve) and it was so much fun watching them make our meal (shoutout to the chefs working tonight)! Note: I cant speak on regular serving sizes and their affordability/value since we only got family style.“

My family was at home in Memphis making raviolas that same day my daughter and I were in Philadelphia. It was our first visit to your beautiful city. “Went to Adelina's five months ago the week they opened. It was a disappointing experience on multiple fronts and my review said as much. Last night was completely different and I thought it was important to say so. The service was attentive. The wine list was expanded and had more affordable options. But the star of the night was the food. Eggplant fritters were crispy outside and pillowy inside and came with a delicious complementary dipping sauce. A charcuterie board is not usually something that excites me. But the selections we tried were transportative. The pecorino tartufo with our Pinot noir were the perfect pair. The other meats and cheese we tried made every bite a party. Our entree selection was the lasagne, which we didn't realize was vegetarian. The dish completely won us over. Inventive and flavorful, the lasagne in not like something you've had before and is a must try! I'm so glad we came back and gave Adelina's another try. Cheers!“

The restaurant is a whimsical, eclectic blend that combines a traditional "family home style" celebratory vibe showcasing the owner's Italian grandmother's recipes. I am a salmon snob, and "Roz and Roccos" delivered: my salmon was cooked to perfection with that delicious crispy top layer that I love. The fresh charred, roasted broccoli had that brilliant green color with the right amount of tenderness and crispiness that made it so yummy. Our table of seven agreed that the food was bursting with unique flavors, as we passed around our plates to sample the entrees. I came back here years later and had the Ragu con Agnello e Tagliatelle and now I'll also be dreaming about that. From the garlic bread, to the calamari, to our own entrees, every aspect of the meal was amazing. Cozy and intimate atmosphere with kind and personable staff.
