“Friendly staff and great atmosphere“

“For six years I have been looking for a new favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh since my old favorite one closed. I have never found a place that had the perfect food and atmosphere I was looking for until I entered Lilith last night. Everything about this restaurant is phenomenal. The service from being greeted to the absolutely awesome server we had was excellent! The food had a wow factor rarely found in Pittsburgh. I’m not usually a huge fan of how vegetables are cooked most places and the veggies in my dish just blew things out of the water. You could tell they were fresh and local too. The fish I had was just amazing. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Needless to say I will be back again and again now to experience more culinary delights!“

“Where can I begin… the food was delicious! Friendly service and real conversation. My family and I are from Indiana visiting for the weekend and we wanted to try Grandma B’s. Went on Saturday morning and it was so impressive we said “We’re coming back tomorrow before we leave!” Only to return Sunday morning and they had standing room only! Sadly my party and I were just going to head back to Indiana, hungry when they called us back in and said”We’re going to make room for you all up top.” They proceeded to prepare another area upstairs to accommodate our party! Hands down best food in service in Pittsburgh!“

“We were at Thunderbird this past Sunday for a concert. We brought our 6 year old so she could see her favorite artist perform. While we were there, one of the security staff came over to us multiple times to make sure we were okay with our daughter, offered to take us to a different side of the venue that they made more room after the opener and other kids were there. My kiddo doesn’t like crowds, so we stayed in the back near the steps. Throughout the night, this gentleman came over to us several times just to check in. He also cleared the steps of people standing in front of us so our daughter could see better. I wish we got his name, but he was wonderful. None of us asked him to do that or asked for any special treatment, but the fact that he came over several times to just check in was incredibly nice and such a meaningful thing to do for us as a parent. There was also a girl security guard that had cigarette earrings that was very kind too. Great first experience overall.“

“We went to G’s for our anniversary and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Great quiet and cozy atmosphere, stellar service, and incredible food and drinks. Every dish was full of flavor and the textures were all beautifully done. Even the bread basket was amazing with maple butter. It felt like a 5 star dining experience for a reasonable person. “I could write a novel on how perfect Justin and his team created our winter wedding vision. From the first interactions to the last interactions, Justin was attentive and helpful. We collaborated on everything in such a professional way that everything truly turned out perfectly. Every single detail was astonishing. Justin and his event center was able to accommodate over 110 guests for our wedding and the FOOD…oh my goodness - delicious! I’d highly recommend this space for bridal showers, receptions, events, you name it! What a wonderful experience and a wedding reception friends and family are still talking about thanks to Just in Thyme!“

“MY friend and I went there on Saturday to celebrate our birthdays..Our server Adam was simply amazing. He patiently waited for us to decide on our drink order and went as far as to let us try the drink to see if we liked it, which we didn’t but he took it off our bill and then brought us a birthday card and wished us a happy birthday. The food was very delicious. But our main complaint comes down to Adam !! He was so fantastic and such a kind person . They truly have a rare gem in him as an employee! I hope they appreciate him because he is what makes it a truly wonderful experience there. We will definitely go back there and if we are lucky Adam will be our server.!!!“

“The Eat 'n Park on Perry Highway, Mars is a very comfortable restaurant in which to eat. The food is always well prepared and I have never experienced anything but excellent service. My friend and I meet there about once a month for breakfast. This past Wednesday 2-4-26, we had Tamara for our waitress. Not our first time with her. Absolutely outstanding! She took our order, served it, checked on us often, and kept our coffee cups filled - all very efficiently, and with a smile on her face. We always leave feeling good about our visit, and look forward to our next time, thanks to the overall great experience.“

“We were stuck at the UPMC Passavant McCandless ER late one evening when the hospital cafeteria was already closed—no options there! Desperate for something quick and decent, I ordered takeout from NPL (the closest reliable option nearby), and wow, I’m so glad I did.
The food came fast—super efficient service even during what must have been a busy time. I got the chicken tenders, and they were huge pieces—perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and absolutely delicious. The side salad was another pleasant surprise; it was generously portioned (way bigger than your typical “side” salad) and fresh.
Best of all, the price was very reasonable—great value, especially when you’re in a pinch at the hospital.
If you’re ever near UPMC Passavant and need solid, satisfying takeout, I highly recommend this place. It turned a stressful night into a much better one with good food done right. Definitely 5 stars!“

There’s a nice variety on the menu, including lots of kid-friendly options, and the atmosphere feels like part of the neighborhood. “Rocky’s had a Friday night buffet of Polish food, and the selection and quality of the food was first rate! We just happened to see the flier on Facebook so we decided to check it out. It was our first time here. I finished my meal with a retro banana pudding with Nila wafers and cream. Delicious nostalgia! The buffet had several kid-friendly options, so at $14 a person, this would be a great place to bring the family on Friday night. Next Friday’s theme is Italian night, and I can’t wait to try Mary Anne’s dishes. She is amazing!“

“Very nice resteraunt to get a snack and drinks. The prices were reasonable and there are plenty of seats to eat or take with you. The food was hot and fresh. No problems with the food, the service was good. There were several schools there, so kinda hectic, but other than that, it was very good, and it's right when you enter the zoo.

“I ordered via Uber Eats. I had a question about the menu so I called the restaurant but they did not answer. I was surprised when they called me back ...when does that ever happen?! My order arrived exactly as I ordered it and they didn't miss any of the sides. They have a huge selection of desserts and I got the sweet potato pie, it tastes like my 95 yr old grandma from Tennessee made it! Get the homemade healthy green tea drink, you won't be disappointed! The portions are huge... but I'm most impressed with the more flavorable twist on traditional hibachi. ❤ keep it up. I found a new spot!!“
