“This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)“

It’s sooo reasonable and so practical as they weigh it, so you can get any flavor, any toppings, as much as you like. This was the cheesecake flavor, the only sugar-free option, but I loved it!! “Texas sheet cake is one of the best chocolate ice creams I've had. Lemon Bar and Banana Cream Pudding is also super yummy!! Offers to-go pints. Unfortunately, the servers added a Buttercrisp Waffle Chip, which isn't vegan, but it's easily removed (and if I had known they'd add it I would have asked for it to be omitted). Ice cream was still delicious though and definitely one of the best vegan ice creams I've had!“

Very fast customer service despite a busy day due to the hottest day in Pittsburgh in 2025.

You can also get pints, quarts and gallons of any flavor to take home. Very well run business.

“This Bruster's is far better than any other ice cream shop in the area. It was "Every Given Sunday" but after Covid, they closed permanently. I always get the gelati. Normally it's 50% italian ice and 50% frozen custard but I treat the ice like a topping and ask for 80% custard and only 20% ice. It's awesome they always get the ratio right. Mango is the best ice flavor. Can't go wrong with it.

Parking is rough here. Always have to park 3 streets away. Just be prepared to walk a little.“

“I had Leonas ice cream sandwiches as the dessert for my outdoor spring wedding. My now husband and I both LOVE ice cream and when we decided that's what we wanted to have for our special day I knew Leonas was the choice. We got to pick from SO many of their delicious seasonal flavors - narrowing it down was the hardest part! They were SO detailed and thorough in helping me ensure the sandwiches were served appropriately. All of our guests RAVED about how perfect the ice cream was for the day and how delicious they were. It was a hilarious bonus that the pre-wrapped treats were much more portable than a slice of cake - MANY of them made it out onto the dance floor! Couldn't recommend them more as a DELICIOUS and super fun addition to any event.“

“Went here because my daughter had been seeing a bunch of ads for it on social media and I had never heard of it so we figured let's go try.

In terms of ordering experience it's pretty straight forward as you place your order on one of two computers they have and then step aside and wait for your name to be called.

In regards to the space itself it was bright and pleasing to look at and clean.

Let's talk about the cookies, now taste is of course subjective but I found the cookies to taste good, not the best I have ever had but pretty good.

Now the following is going to again be subjective but to me the cookies are too under done, my kids liked that raw cookie dough feeling and texture but I would have liked them to have been a bit more firm. I had thought it was because they were fresh that they were so soft but even after a few hours at home to cool the cookies where still very much undercooked and infact my one definitely had some raw dough in the middle. My wife and kids through loved this fact so again this might be amazing if you like a cookie like that or it might be a turn off if you like a done and crumbly cookie.

Your paying for the hype and agressive marketing this company does, a dozen was nearly $50 dollars and they are not worth that to me, again subjective, but I have had better cookies at a local famous bakery in Oakmont for significantly less and with equal/better quality.

Honestly this place reminds me of when Krispy Cream came to town and the experience of getting a hot and fresh donut was new and exciting but after a while you came to realize that while it was a good donut it was not anything special and this place feels the same but with cookies.“
