“Worth the wait. This was our last Philly Michelin m-starred restaurant to try. It’s the absolute best. The food was extraordinary and I’m already dreaming of my next meal there. My particular favorites included the buckwheat tart with morels and both pasta courses (one was an add on). Sadly I will now never feel satiated unless I’m eating Chef Schulman’s triangoli. A beautiful and intimate space with incredible care by the entire staff. Amanda Schulman was incredibly welcoming and engaged with the diners. Wine pairing was outstanding as was my Negroni made with Bruto Americano. The marzipan rhubarb cake was the stuff dreams are made of. So, so, so happy after this meal. Did I mention? “My sister and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Dolce Italian before the matinee to see Shen Yun. We had plenty of time and yet we did not have to wait long for service.
Our server, Tristan, was very polite and efficient as we requested if we could share both a salad and a sandwich!
The roasted beets salad was excellent, and the chicken cutlet sandwich was freshly cooked and delicious. The portions were very generous even though we shared both choices.
This restaurant is a great option for lunch or early supper before a show or the Philadelphia Orchestra. I highly recommend Dolce Italian.“

“I used Johnny Paisano’s to cater a holiday party. I had an amazing experience from the very beginning. I spoke with Christine who helped me place the order, and helped me to decide the best options for my menu. One of my options was a prime rib, where I received a phone call from Johnny himself to help me figure out the best way to prepare it for the party. When it was time to retrieve the food on the day of the party, everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. Johnny once again came out and was talking with me about the food. I appreciate this aspect of a business, it makes you feel like you’re in a friendly environment, rather than a sterile kitchen. The food quality was amazing. Every platter was delicious, and every guest was happy with how the food turned out. The prime rib was the largest hit, not surprisingly. I couldn’t believe the value of everything as well. Please use Johnny Paisano’s for your next event, they will not disappoint at all, and will go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met!“

The restaurant is a whimsical, eclectic blend that combines a traditional "family home style" celebratory vibe showcasing the owner's Italian grandmother's recipes. I am a salmon snob, and "Roz and Roccos" delivered: my salmon was cooked to perfection with that delicious crispy top layer that I love. The fresh charred, roasted broccoli had that brilliant green color with the right amount of tenderness and crispiness that made it so yummy.
