“hidden gem in a quiet area. For parking, use lots #26 and #28 right in front of the restaurant. They were able to accommodate my peanut and egg allergies. I ordered A3 ground pork with yellow peas, omitted the peanuts and swapped out the egg noodles for rice noodles. They asked for my preferred spice level and were able to make it not spicy. The soup is still red and I can’t handle spice, I was fine.

The braised pork hock over rice was very tender and had a deep flavour. It wasn’t greasy, best braised pork hock I’ve had in this city. Comes with tea egg.

The tofu dessert (sweet) was good. They have a small bathroom tucked away.

“We were driving from Toronto to Montreal and decided to stop here for dinner at around 10pm. It’s conveniently located near the highway exit and lots of parking on the street. I had the lemongrass chicken pho and it was probably the best pho I’ve had, much better than the pho chains in the GTA. I absolutely love com tam and this was like the pho version of it, which I’ve never seen a restaurant do before. The portion was generous for a small, lots of meat and toppings. The service was amazing as well, the staff were extremely attentive and kind, and were able to accommodate our allergies. If we are ever back in Ottawa, we would definitely visit again.“

Our usual spot on Somerset has closed so we ended up coming here on a whim. Quite certain we will be back – it’s a very casual spot, service is good and so is the food! We came here pretty late (ie. after normal dinner hours) and so it was pretty quiet. We started off with the Szechuan soup followed by an egg roll and a vegetable spring roll. All delicious. Their plum sauce is made in house and is not too sweet which is nice. For our main we shared an order of steamed rice, pepper steak and the egg noodle with chicken and vegetables. No complaints at all! We look forward to coming back and trying other dishes.“

The service is very polite and friendly (and online ordering is a big plus), food is delivered very promptly (one time it was 15 minutes early!). The food portions are generous, but quality is not sacrificed for quantity. What's a cool plus is that they use a mix of Styrofoam and reusable plastic containers (not only better for storage but a little less wasteful). “I've been ordering from Barrhaven Lucky Panda for quite a while, and they never disappoint. My go to order is the General Tao chicken (extra spicy), chicken fried rice, and the honey garlic spare ribs. Every meal has been consistently fresh, hot, and delicious.

What really keeps me coming back is the friendly service. The staff / owners are always smiling, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which makes picking up my order a pleasure every time.

I also appreciate the value. Ordering directly and picking up on my way home from work saves me money compared to using Uber Eats or DoorDash. The prices are much more reasonable buying in store.
