“Very disappointed. My husband says try again on a weekend day. Went Monday 4pm. Food was terrible. Fish was completely dried out. Shrimp cocktail was slimy and sour. Good service. Lovely view. However won't be back“

“We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! “Went here for drinks to kill time until our Bodhi Spa appointment just down the street. Our waiter was extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Drinks were made perfectly. Small place but did not feel crowded. Great atmosphere and patrons.“

“Ralph opened this place up in the middle of the pandemic with virtually no customer base. My friends and I randomly discovered it and were some of his first regulars, and we kept the lights on and helped him out through the winter. My favorite college bar when I was back at URI, and every college bar is a tough scene, if you can't handle it don't go. Ralph is a stand up gentleman“
