“We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

“A special touch without a doubt the best Breakfast ever, the food and service was of a wonderful standard, Kellie and Dave made you feel as if you were part of their family great people if you like a full English Breakfast this is the place for you they have it all the Bacon, Sausage not forgetting the baked beans and the fantastic PG Tip Tea thought I was in Heaven. “Cru Café is an excellent spot in Newport. Even when it’s busy, the line moves quickly and service is friendly and efficient. The staff is cheerful, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food is fresh, fast, and absolutely delicious. A great place worth visiting!“

“Staff here so we super nice. They know my coffee and always ask me if I want my usual. I will go here again. They are apologetic if anything ever happens to register and if something is down. They are always willing to treat you with a smile and ask you how your day is while you wait while they make your coffee.“

“Skip the overhyped, long-line coffee shops down the street—Beaucoup is the real gem.

The peach raspberry scone was easily one of the best I’ve ever had: slightly warm, packed with fresh fruit, and literally melted in my mouth. It paired perfectly with their delicious iced vanilla latte. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. I always make it a point to say thank you for service, but it’s a rare treat to get a genuine thank you back for your business. Beaucoup does exactly that. Highly recommend!“

“Lovely outdoor ambiance, we sat on the corner outside and watched the town wake up. Subtle queer vibes before 8am. Then the line got long. Jasmine green tea was pretty good (7/10) We really liked the decaf coffee (9/10) what a treat. The regular coffee was not noteworthy, but fine. Nitro’s is much better. Great breakfast sandwich, grab and go ready!“

“This is the hidden gem of Newport. I’ve been coming here almost everyday for a few weeks now and let me tell you, after this I don’t even think I can do Dunkin anymore. First off, the iced coffee is a dark roast so I don’t even have to add a shot of espresso. Their breakfast sandwich are thick with real egg/bacon. They don’t skimp here. In fact for the summer only if you buy food you’ll get yourself a FREE iced coffee. And on top of it all, the crew here is amazing. Tell them I sent you!!“

“I visited the Portsmouth location for the second time this morning and this is a perfect first date spot imo. The large wraparound deck is so cute & cozy, like a farmhouse porch. & the coffee 🤩 I had a tiramisu latte last time, a cherry Garcia latte this time- I was not disappointed either time, the flavors were accurate without being overwhelming or weakening the espresso, & oh so delicious. The food is even better; the attention to detail & balance of flavor in the dishes is off the charts. I recommend the avocado toast or whipped feta plate, and if you’re not into coffee, their teas and lemonades are just as amazing.“

“We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! “Steph and the team at scratch were SUPERB! Our catering order was perfect (tho we were sad the croissant machine was down) every thing was piping hot (or nice an cool). Everything was SOOO good. Ordering was easy, Steph ensured we had a great variety and enough to feed the post-wedding crowd. We did have breakfast here and it was stellar! Any event you need catered, be sure to check Steph and the team out. You will, NOT be disappointed!“
