“My husband and I visited on our trip and the portions were very large. They had a $14.99 deal where you got an app and entree. I got the Nachos and the Pulled Pork Sammy w/ a loaded baked potato. So good! So much food!! My husband got the corn bread (it came with honey pecan butter) and babyback ribs with loaded baked potato and onion rings. The only thing not amazing was the onion rings. Everything else was delicious!“

“We really enjoyed our meal at Firebirds. The shrimp and grits were flavorful without being over seasoned.

Our Parmesan crusted chicken was very crispy and delicious. The portion was huge and we were able to share it with our table.

We also ordered a steak at the table and it had a great seasoning. We enjoyed our complete meal and look forward to our next visit!“

“Ankar’s express has some of the best sandwiches and hoagies In Chattanooga. Not kidding. The vibes of the restaurant are amazing- lots of cool band art on the walls and an awesome arcade game to the left when you walk in. Great staff. Great food. GREAT vibes!!! 10/10 recommend!“

However, I hate the changes in the newly remodeled restaurants I have been in also, the side/vegetable portions have become so small they often look more like a child’s portion, leaving me having to order more or add on a child’s plate of vegetables. Oh yes, in the bathrooms are universally, dirty, smelly, and disgusting no matter how far or near I travel. I should know I eat 2 to 3 times a week at Cracker Barrel.“

“Since its opening, The Local Goat has been the go-to overnight stop on our I-75 North/South trek. Initially this was because the restaurant was next to our hotel, but now we stop because of the great food. Today, I want to give a loud SHOUT OUT to our waitress, Skylar. “Acropolis just catered my daughters wedding and the food was out of this world! They did the food for dinner and the desserts. There was plenty of food. They worked great with dietary issues that people had. I would give them a 5 out of 5!“

“I love this place and would recommend it to anyone and hate leaving reviews but today was just… not it.. We’ve always loved coming here and typically have a great experience, but unfortunately this visit was a disappointment. Our party of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids) arrived at 5pm, placed our order about 10 minutes later, and got our drinks with no issues. After an hour with no food, the manager came over to let us know our server had entered our order but never actually sent it to the kitchen. About 20 minutes later, food started coming out in pieces not all at once. By this point, our two oldest kids (7 & 8) were in tears because they were so hungry. The 4-year-old’s meal still wasn’t out when everyone else was eating. When we mentioned it, our waitress simply said, “sorry about that,” and moved on to her next table. Kinda felt dismissive, really. We truly love this establishment and have had many positive visits, but this time was frustrating and disappointing for both the kids and adults at our table.“

“I ordered out meals to eat her and some to go . The meal was cooked and bagged and put under a heated area , then our food arrived at our table . Very good food for there . Then we ordered some dessert to go which seemed to irritate the waitress . When I ordered my meal , I asked for half and half tea . I got unsweetened tea , so I asked for a empty glass and a glass of sweet tea and made my own , that also seemed to irritate her . Not sure what's going on over there , but I will not be back . I go there 2 or 3 times a year when in town . This time no way . The to go order was dropped off 20 minutes later , Dried out . Common sense cook the to go order a little later NOT AT THE SAME TIME ! 😡“

“I’m a very picky eater and when a friend suggested my husband and I eat at Haven’s with him we agreed. My husband had meatloaf, okra, cabbage with a corn muffin and I had the fried chicken wings, mashed potatoes, black eyed peas with a corn muffin. Every single thing we ate was the best we have ever tasted!! I couldn’t believe it. Our friend ordered the pork chops and could only eat one so my husband got to eat the other one. Seriously, it was hard to leave there with out ordering two or three meals to go. Since we live in Cleveland Haven's will see us at LEAST once a week. The girls there are precious and the food is cooked after you order. Such a Fantastic place!!!“

“We’ve eaten at Drakes, Chattanooga, since it’s opening and never been disappointed until today when a customer brought a dog inside to the inside “patio” seated at the table next to us. The dog was hyper and the man kept scratching it. Next a female joined him and began scratching the dog. The waiter reached down and also scratched the dog. Next time the waiter came by, the dog jumped up on her and again she scratched the dog. We asked to move inside to an empty booth. After we moved the man brought in another dog. Why were dogs allowed in the restaurant? They were NOT service dogs.“

This restaurant should not be confused with Ankers Hoagie's and sandwiches,people make this mistake all the time. I give this an overall 3.5 out of 5. The only thing that could get better is the staff. All family and friends. Like most family ran businesses,if they're having a bad day,it shows. But a great spot to order take out lunch.“
